So far so good. I've been here three times so far and everything is delicious. I really can't make up my mind on what's my favorite. The chicken carbonara for sure is a 1000% must get. Chicken is tender, the Alfredo sauce is just enough to coat the pasta and dip the bread into. If one complaint it's there is no eggplant parmesan. This is my go-to spot when I'm too tired to cook and craving a creamy, carb heavy meal. As a fast, casual pasta spot, there a few tables for dine in but we usually order our pasta to-go. I first saw this place on social media and knew I had to try next time I was in the area. I saw the guy order a shrimp Alfredo and they didn't exactly have it on the menu but the guy working said he'll make it for me. They seem to be very accommodating with what's on the menu. Great service and willing to provide recommendations. The food was good and portions were huge! It was definitely 2 meals for me. I would definitely come back again. Probably some of the best Italian on the Westside! If you love and miss JP Spaghetti in Wahiawa, Fratelli Express in Waipahu is pretty similar. No frills, walk up to order, but you get fresh Italian pasta dishes served in takeout boxes. Hubby and I finally had lunch here a few months ago after I heard rave Yelp and Instagram reviews from TOWNIES. You know when townies are willing to make a drive to Waipahu for food, that says something. We shared the "Misty Combo," a combo plate of the Chicken Fratelli and Lasagna. Sauces and meats were flavorful and the pasta was cooked al dente! Funny that either rice or linguine are options for dishes...really catering to the local community, I see lol. We washed our lunch down with their refreshing plantation iced tea. When I'm craving Italian from home near Waipahu, but don't feel like cooking, Fratelli Express hits the spot! Small hole in the wall restaurant in the old Cho Dang spot next to Nandings in Waipahu. This was our first time here and it wasn't bad, honestly. Friendly service and average prices, food was hit and miss. We read the raving reviews and maybe our expectations were too high which explains the slight disappointment in some of our choices. We ordered the chicken alfredo and lasagna combo ($20.90) and a NY steak and shrimp scampi combo ($26.90). Food came out relatively quick - but we were the only diners at this time so hard to say if this is the norm. There were lots of to-go orders though. Best dish: The alfredo sauce was good! Creamy, cheesy, seasoned well and served over linguine noodles with pieces of chicken. The lasagna looked to be a good size and it was cheesy but... The sauce had a strong tomato forward taste and was not our favorite. Kinda bummed since we really like lasagna.. just not this one. The NY steak was covered in mushrooms and onions with a red wine demi glace. I asked for medium rare and it came closer to medium. The steak could've used some seasoning, even though its sitting in the sauce, the lack of savoriness was noticeable. The scampi came with 4 shrimp and choke garlic and was served on linguine noodles. The butter was on the bottom under the noodles so it was much better if you mixed the noodles first. Bread does not come with the plates, so don't forget to order it like we did. And no, they don't do cheesy garlic bread. Overall we give this place a 3.25 out of 5 . Try it, you may like it. read more

Popped in on a late afternoon to an empty store. Greeted by friendly employees who didn't make us feel rushed. Placed our order and ran next door to grab some baked goodies from Nandings bakery. There are about 5 tables in various sizes to easily sit 25-30 people. Clean, organized dining area. Ravioli consisted of about a dozen pieces swimming in a juicy tomato sauce. Simple but enough to hit the spot. Seafood combo had clams, mussels, shrimp & calamari rings over linguine. Chunks of garlic but it still seemed a little watery which may have contributed to some of the lack in flavor. Lots of menu options that I'll be back to try! Wow! Excellent! Simply excellent! I've never been a big lasagna person ( cray I know) but I am now, as long as its Fratelli's lasagna! The wonderful meat sauce with ricotta. To die for! Ordered the misty special so came with chicken basilio. Very garlicky and a little on the dry side but just swish it in your lasagna sauce and you are in pasta heaven! The garlic bread- crispy outside with soft center. Pan fried. Truly perfect! Mom had the shrimp portabella. The portion was huge, which made her very happy. Large and generous with the shrimp and veggies on linguine tossed in a white wine (?) sauce. Addictive! One man show on the day we were there so short 5-10 min wait but all orders done with care. Fratelli Express our Go To place for delicious Italian food. The owner and his staff are always so friendly and welcoming. Food is prepared Fresh and Hot. They have a small cozy dining room, take out is definitely an option. We tried their signature dish Chicken Fratelli. Chicken prepared with garlic, roasted peppers, pepperoni, capers, and mushrooms in a white wine sauce. Simply delicious . Also ordered the Lasagna and a side of garlic bread. The Lasagna was awesome. There's plenty of parking since it's in the same shopping center as Nanding's Bakery. Great little Italian restaurant in the heart of Waipahu. They're located next to the famous Nanding's Bakery. The food was Ono and the service was also good. Although they serve the food in a takeout container and you can just sit inside and eat. I like that you can make combo dishes. If you would like to try more than one dish. The lasagna was great and the scampi was also good. My daughter had the chicken Alfredo with linguine and she said it was way tastier than CPK. We need to try more dishes here soon. I went there in the early afternoon and fortunately I missed the crowd. I just wanted some familiar comfort food so I ordered the linguini with meat sauce. The food came quickly which was great because I was pretty hungry. Lots of sauce on a bed of linguine really hit the spot - I could see the soffritto in the sauce. It was very delicious but it was so much that I saved the rest for dinner. The place was pretty clean and the music was a relaxing jazz of Eric Blues. Fratellis is located towards the end of Waipahu in a strip mall. There's lots of parking available too. I heard that the owners came from paesanos and started their own business so I wanted to support. I've actually came here twice already. I thought that I would give them another shot since the food was pretty average the first time I went and maybe ordered the wrong items. Everyone raved about their lasagna so that is what I ended up trying that was only able to be a combo with any of their chicken items that's on their menu. Their lasagna was probably the better choice - and not too cheesy which I appreciated. The chicken portion of the meal was slightly undercooked so I popped it in the microwave for a bit. I also picked up a plantation ice tea which was unsweetened. The service on the other hand was really great. However, I don't think this is something I would go out of my way to drive out of town for. But this is probably a good option if you live on the west side. read more

Tried this place on a whim after seeing it often when I crave Italian food on Uber Eats and lemme tell you this place didn't disappoint. While I was a tad dismayed at the prices on first glance I saw a ton of food in every dish so figured yolo and order something unique. I got the fried ravioli and the cheese sticks as I haven't had either one in years and figured it was a good benchmark. When the food came I was pleasantly surprised the pictures from a few months ago matched the amount in the boxes and was super stuffed in both cases. I was super intrigued by the sauce as I have never seen an orange ish sauce be so thin before. Originally I thought this was Italian dressing with vinegar but now I can't say for certain but this really elevated what could've been a plainer thing had it been marinara instead. Flavor was super clean yet seasoned well in both cases with both offerings offering the amount of airy crisp I love and hardly see in places like this. I really want to try the rest of their offerings if this is the benchmark for what this place is gonna be. Also, if you order on DoorDash or Uber eats, it's free delivery so you can't really complain. Definitely gonna add this place to the rotation. I'm gonna try to visit this place in person very soon. They don't have the fried spring rolls sadly due to them being short staff per the owner. Service was fast (called at 6:30pm on a Saturday night, 10 mins and it's ready for pick up), the owner/front staff were friendly and personable. Place isn't a looker. It seems to aim more for takeout vs a dine in experience. Would still highly recommend over places like Bravo's that have overpriced/watery pasta--only upside there is their unlimited garlic knots but save money and make/buy your own garlic bread lol. I can't wait to give this place another try. I ordered a combo that was listed as a popular item. I'm not much of a lasagna fan but hey, if the people order this the most I will try it! A man also in teh dining area stated he could drink their sauce, it's that delicious and I have to agree! The red sauce with the lasagna was really good. I need to return and just have sauce and noodles! The Alfredo sauce was good and the chicken was tender and flavorful. I enjoyed the spinach in the sauce and mixed what I could of the Alfredo with the red marinara sauce. The dining area is small but sufficient if you're here to sit for a few minutes to eat. Fiancée and I have been to Fratelli Express a number of times! I didn't realize I hadn't reviewed it yet. They have a variety of dishes and everything I've tried is good! Fiancée prefers the chicken pomodori and will always get that. The restaurant is tucked away in the old Cho Dang Waipahu location next to Nanding's. We usually call the order in and pick it up since we're coming from Mililani. Everyone I've interacted with has been very kind and we've always experienced great service here. Fratelli Express is owned by former Paesano Manoa staff members (from what I've been told). Congratulations to them for getting together and opening up something of their own! They are located in Waipahu so it's a journey for all those who want to support them from town. They can accommodate small to medium size parties. It's not fine dining but you get good food from friendly people. We had great customer service all night! I ordered their lasagna and chicken pasta combo. You can pick any of the chicken pasta dishes on the menu so I picked their Chicken Pomodori. I was last to get my meal but it was a full plate and it was really good! The garlic bread was perfect to soak up all the sauces. Seeing and hearing all good things about Fratelli Express bunch of us decided to check them out for dinner .AKA auntie Nadine.C and Mayor of Chinatown Paul.C already dined here and posted a review so I had to personally check them out for myself . Not disappointed at all I had their Seafood combo comes with shrimp, Mussels, squid, clams along with tomato sauce or white garlic sauce. Also I ordered their garlic bread which was soft and had a good garlic flavor . This place is very busy we got there around 5:45pm and the take out orders didn't stop. Limited dine in table are available. One of the co- owners gave us complimentary spring roll because he felt bad because someone in our party wanted to order some spring rolls but all they had was 2 orders . Had dinner with friends at Fratelli Express last night with friends. This is not a full service restaurant. As the name implies , this is a grab and go. They have some tables to dine in. You order at the counter, and in our case, the food was brought to our table. Overall, the group liked what they ordered. I had the lasagna, which I thought was very good. They didn't skimp on the ricotta cheese. I like the fact that it was not smothered in sauce. The sauce was surrounding the lasagna. I also ordered the side Ceasars salad.
