I was really craving Vietnamese spring rolls, so that's exactly what I came here for. My friend ordered a chicken bánh mì, and it looked so good that I had to get one too. She also ordered the chicken fried rice, and of course I had to tax her. One bite was all it took, I completely fell in love with it. I kept going for more bites! The spring rolls definitely hit the spot, and I really love that they serve them with fresh vegetables and noodles so you can wrap everything together before taking a bite. The chicken bánh mì did not disappoint either. Ever since our last Yelp event, I've been craving one, and this one was exactly what I was hoping for. The meal was made even better by our favorite server: a robot! It was such a fun touch and made the experience even more memorable. My family and I have been going to this family run restaurant for years. We absolutely love the beef stew here and it's enough to share. It's homemade and yummy. We highly recommend them and in fact ate there for lunch today. You better call ahead and make sure as it's so yummy and fresh you want them to save some for you. When we come we always get the chicken pho for our daughter, and the eye round & well done brisket pho for us. We've also had both the spring and summer rolls too and you can't go wrong with either one! Dessert also available here if you're in the mood for layered jello or tapioca. Haven't been here in ages, and it was nice to finally be back. This has always been my go-to spot for their house garlic chili paste and traditional Vietnamese iced coffee--and thankfully, both are still solid. The garlic chili paste has definitely leveled up in heat since my last visit--noticeably spicier but still packed with that deep, garlicky punch. It's truly one-of-a-kind, and one of the main reasons this place stands out from the many pho restaurants I've tried. No one else does it. They also serve Vietnamese iced coffee the traditional way--with sweetened condensed milk and coffee that you mix yourself. Most places pre-blend it and serve it over ice, but here you get the full experience, exactly how it's meant to be enjoyed. For food, I ordered the chicken pho, while my boyfriend went with the combination pho. Both bowls were very good. The broth leaned on the lighter side flavor-wise, but it was clean, comforting, and generously filled with tender chicken pieces in my bowl. My boyfriend really enjoyed his combination pho, which came loaded with a variety of meats. The side garnishes were plentiful and fresh--lemon wedges, bean sprouts, basil, and even culantro, which is a nice touch you don't see at most pho spots. We also ordered the spring rolls. Two rolls cut in half, crispy on the outside but a bit doughy inside. Flavor-wise they were pretty mild--okay, but not a standout. Service was fast and friendly, which made the experience even better. It was quiet when we arrived around 10:45 AM, but by the time we left, most of the restaurant had filled up--always a good sign. Zero stars if I could! Yuuuuuuuuuuuuck! We found this nasty bug in our pho noodles. As soon as we saw it, we completely lost our appetite and had to throw away our entire meal. It was disgusting and incredibly disappointing. To make matters worse, I tried calling the restaurant to let them know what happened, but their automated message says they're closed for vacation for the next three weeks. That means there's no way to speak with anyone about this issue until they reopen. We don't even know what kind of bug it is, but finding it in our food is completely unacceptable. I called the restaurant a few days ago to inquire if they accept reservations. A male employee answered the phone and demonstrated pleasant phone etiquette. He said, "Mother's Day is right around the corner. Will be busy. Best to make reservation." We both laughed. I made res and also received text reminder regarding date, time and to check in on Yelp. My last visit was many moons ago at the former location near Consolidated Theatres Kapolei. I'm happy they relocated in Kapolei Market Place where free parking is plentiful. When we arrived, we checked in with a female employee. She confirmed our res and informed us that we don't need to sign in. Since the restaurant was packed with families, we waited outside. Once they cleared and cleaned the table, we were called to come in. Casual ambiance and dress code. There's a 3% surcharge if using credit card only. Huge gratitude and five stars for efficient, forward thinking, friendly, and well mannered staff that checked in on us periodically and asked how we're doing, how is our food tasting , and thanked us as we're leaving. Summer Rolls: I love the consistency and texture of peanut sauce even if it tasted slightly on the cold side. Still enjoyable. Complemented the fresh rice paper, vermicelli noodles, shrimp, and green leafy lettuce. Yummy! Garlic chili oil is the shining star that elevates and enhances your meal and appetizer to a whole, new level. I was so surprised that one of the female employees brought out a fresh dish of garlic chili oil. I didn't need to use the one from the condiments section. Bun Bo Hue: Mild spicy pho with generous servings of beef brisket, pork, pork hock, vermicelli noodles, and side of veggies. Spice level for broth is a one. Loved the broth too! While I held the dish of garlic chili oil in my left hand, I used the chopsticks in my right hand to dip everything in, one at a time from Bun Bo Hue. My husband enjoyed his Beef Brisket Pho. Pho & Company is located in Kapolei Shopping Center next to L&L. The parking lot is large and there are many stalls, parking has never been an issue. The interior is fairly large and has many tables and can accommodate to larger parties too. We've tried nearly all the pho places here in Kapolei and this is by far the best - quality of food, service and price. We've never really had to wait for a table, even when they're really busy. If anything, just a quick clean up and they're ready to seat you. On the tables, they have an assortment of condiments for your pho: sambal sauce, hoisin, garlic, fish sauce, sriracha, etc. Today we ordered the chicken pho, combination pho, and tripe pho (we didn't want the other meats, just tripe and they accommodated to that). In the chicken pho, it's a combination of both white and dark meat and there is a lot of protein in there. The combination pho is my favorite because you get a little bit of everything - tripe, rare steak, tendon, flank, meatballs, etc. the meats alone are so tender and full of flavor. They were fairly busy for a Wednesday night but we still got our food in a timely manner ~10 min. They give soooo much meat in their pho and plenty noodles, I had to tell myself to finish at least the meats because it's the most expensive! Even without adding sauce, the broth is so flavorful. The aunties who work there are so sweet and really good about refilling your drinks and asking if you're okay. If you decide to do takeout, you can only do large size pho - which is great for leftovers! Overall, I would give this place 6* if I could. I have loved Pho & Co for over a decade!! Love the taste of their food and definitely their crunchy garlic -which was their signature sauce before it got so popular all over. Theirs is still the best amongst the rest. I have tried pretty much everything on their menu over the years! Love every one of those dishes including the boba and desserts!!! Writing this is making me hungry!! For me this is a definite happy fat cells kind of food always!!! Parking is ok it can get crowded on the weekend evening.
