The last time i was here is probably my last time here... i hate giving places bad reviews.. Sometimes I'll forget the place and not review at all. But, we all must do our do-diligence and be honest.. How will you know if everything doesn't get reviewed. Anywho, i just pau massage at Magnolia Massage & Spa (Ten/Ten), and decided to come here since i was craving Pho and it was close... I've been here prior to the 2020 events and it was scrumptious. This time, not so much. The broth in my Pho was missing its spirit and wasn't channeling my taste buds... i moved on to my Beef salad... (Insert sad face here), another whomp-whomp moment... I remember this place being so good, unfortunately this time around it wasn't as great as it was. We ordered spring rolls, beef pho, and lemon grass chicken. The spring rolls were lukewarm and I could tell they were precooked (the lettuce that came with it looked old), the lemon grass chicken was bland and meat was tough, as for the pho it was ok but instantly was set back to find hair In it. I did bring it to the servers attention and she was very apologetic about it saying it was the meat hair (um NO, that looks like someone's hair!). We came here because another pho spot we wanted to try wasn't open. So disappointed in this choice. Pho was too salty and had no real aromatic to it. The noodles were still a tad undercooked too. How unsatisfying. The herbs and veggies they give are old and you can tell we're sitting in their fridge too long. The lemongrass chicken rice dish was also disappointing. Chicken was rubbery and where's the lemongrass flavors? Everything came out way too quick and you can tell the quality from that. The Thai tea we got was just sugar no actual Thai tea flavor. How disappointing. We won't be coming back that's for sure. read more

My GF and I went for a quick lunch catch up so we shared these two main dishes and it did NOT disappoint. Very open seating area and it wasn't very crowded so we were seated right away. Service was alright. We didn't know that you had to go up to the counter to pay so we probably sat an extra 10-15 minutes talking while we waited for the check lol. When they first brought out the beef stew we thought it looked a little watery and too soupy but it tasted phenomenal. The crispy noodles tasted a little stale but the flavor in the gravy was on point. We had the Vietnamese coffee to go and even that was so delicious!! Family lunch today and I still love the pho here. The order: Son son: Lemon grass chicken Bahn mi. He loves to deconstruct his and eat his bread, meat, and the pickled veggies separate and together haha Mommy: bbq chicken and spring rolls on vermicelli. They give a huge portion of noodles and veggies. The chicken has great flavor and the spring rolls are crunchy good ness. Top it all off with their face and crunch garlic chips. Daddy: combination pho, sliced beef on the side, which I get an extra dash of onions on top. Their rare beef is the type I love, super thin cuts. Rich, aromatic broth with tons of flavor. A ton of noodles and veggies on the side. The service as usual, pick which seat you want, and food comes out in a jiffy. They had some cool jazz music playing in the background. The only surprising part......the bill wooof, over 70 bucks for our 3 dishes lol. Maybe I should have deducted a star....but hey nowadays, what place doesn't feel likes it's charging an arm and a leg for prices lol. read more

The first time my family and I ate here, which was a few years ago, I thought it was ok. I really wanted to go to our favorite Pho place in Waipahu (Pho Bistro) but was closed due to the storm. We came here to Pho One tonight because we wanted hot soup. The spring roll was almost burnt. My gosh, the Pho was horrible. The broth was tasteless and super oily. I got the beef stew, special bahn mi and manapua. I came here specifically for the manapua because it's hard to find close to where I live (don't want to go to Waikiki or Chinatown). I remember eating it a long time ago and it was good. This one didn't disappoint, it was excellent! The beef stew was the best I've had. It was so tasty and good. The special bahn mi was also one of the best I've eaten. The bread was not hard and crusty like from other places, it was soft and pillowy (very fresh). It was well worth the drive. I dropped my son off at Pearlridge and was going to Wahiawa (close to home) for some Mexican food but decided to come here instead. One of the best decisions I've made. Now I know where to go when I'm craving Vietnamese food, especially the manapua. It's nothing like the Chinese ones, it's better in my opinion. The place is clean and orderly and the people are nice and helpful and service was quick. I got my food in about 5-10 min! There were mixed reviews of this place, so I wanted to check it out myself. I got a pho with brisket and tendon, but the broth wasn't the best. I was expecting more of a clear one, but it tasted like mixed with other sauces to get the flavor. The amount of noodles that go into a large bowl is quite small, so if you're a noodle lover just ask for an extra large pho. We went for dinner, and it seemed quite busy. The restaurant was pretty nice. But the utensils were not that clean, and it took a little longer than usual for a bowl of pho to come out. I recommend an order for to-go to dine-in. read more

2025 - been eating here on occasion and it has been okay. The combo pho was decent but lacked tripe, service decent, but it was convenient for me those times till tonight. Brought the fam tonight and the food was terrible. The pho was warm, spring rolls missing the mint and pickled veges, and all service was exeptionally poor. Seemed like the front of the house was the same crew as the back. The usual mid aged guy wasn't there but a young unexperienced girl and a older grandpa that didn't speak. We have not came here in a while and this will definitely be our last time here. Needed to find a restaurant that closed later so decided to come here for pho. We noticed there was nobody in the restaurant and thought it was closed when we walked in. We sat down and our server didn't acknowledge us once. You would think that they would be excited for people to actually come in and eat right? She then came back with waters with all lemon in our drinks and I asked for one without. She got a little angry and took one of the waters away. She came back and the water she had brought back still had a lemon flavor as if she just took the lemon out of the water and served it back to me. :/ We ordered our combination pho, chicken pho, chicken sandwich and a fried chicken. Our orders came out wrong, but we just took what they gave us. We were waiting for a while for our check only to realize that we needed to go to their counter to pay. All in all, their food didn't taste fresh and there was nothing special about it. Their service really was non-existent and their workers were very snobby. We haven't been here since the Covid shutdown but was happy to return a few weeks ago and again this week since we had such a nice experience. The restaurant was quiet both times with only a few dining in but there seemed to be a lot of take-outs. Service was nice and the food was good as we remembered. The first time, we all had the oxtail Pho and loved it. The second time, I decided to try something different and went for the Seafood on Crispy Noodles. It was also good. After reading the reviews on cleanliness, I was concerned however everything look sanitary to me and the food handling was good. read more

Love cooler and rainy weather as i equate this with noodle soup, along with others. Picked up visiting family from the airport. As I expected, they were hungry. Given the weather, family wanted soup and we decided on pho. Remember seeing and driving pass Pho On many times before. Always loved their location and that they have their own parking lot, so less traffic. When we finally got in, there was a long line and I waited for a little bit and asked a paying patron if there was a different line to wait to be seated. I was told that we just grab a table and the waitress will come by. Thank goodness because the line for take out order and cashier was long and not moving. It was a busy dinner service. We took a table next to the kitchen where take out/phone orders were packed. For such a big restaurant , we counted 4 employees not including the cooks. I understand now the long and slow cashier line. One employee bussing tables, One employee packing ordered, one person came in later to run the cashier line and the one waitress running through the restaurant taking and delivering orders to the tables. As we sat down, we scanned the QR code for the menu. Quickly made decisions what we wanted to order but it did take a few minutes longer for our waitress to take our order. The spring rolls came out quickly and my sister noticed it was larger than what we usually see. We were so hungry that we devoured it within minutes. Shortly after, the summer rolls came out. We were also pleasantly surprised about th number of egg rolls. And not too long after our soups came out. My older sister got her usual pho with rare steak and brisket and enjoyed it so much that she actually finished her medium sized serving. My sister also enjoyed her won ton flat noodle saimin and she also ate everything. While my dad and I shared a large bowl of pho with rare steak. So good that my dad picked up the large bowl to drink the broth. Unfortunately, the gentleman standing in line in front of us, when we first came in, was still there waiting for his take out order an hour later. All-in-all despite the busy night and a little slow on the service the service was good, the meal was great, location and its own parking lot is super and I forgot to mention the price, which was reasonable compared to the overprice at another pho restaurant further down the road. 4-stars for Pho One. read more

The waiter tried to over bill me am additional $5 for my order when I went to pay. I questioned why he was charging me more than the listed price. This is a hard one because Pho One used to be my all time favorite place for pho. However, lately the service and quality has gone down. Their phone line doesn't always work so I ordered it online "powered by DoorDash" (not an actual door dash delivery). My husband went to go pick it up and uncle yelled at him in front of everyone for the miscommunication. He thought it was a door dash delivery when it was just a regular takeout order. He demanded for the DoorDash receipt, which of course my husband didn't have. He told my husband to wait on the side until my husband figured it out (?) Then a lady came out to help him and give him my order. The yelling was really embarrassing and unnecessary. It's really sad because "uncle" is normally really nice and always joking around... Also the broth has been really salty lately. We thought it was just a fluke or a bad day, but it's been consistent the last couple of months. While I was looking forward to some pho, unfortunately, Pho One did not scratch that itch. Came in a hour before closing and once I ordered, the pho came out in about 3 minutes! The broth was extremely salty, to the point that I wanted to pour some of my water into it. The saltiness made dipping the broth impossible and the noodles ended up salty too. The restaurant itself is interesting: the circular entrance popularized back in the 70's/80's (?) opens up to a lobby areas that has been modernized with the faux-brick, and neon signage behind the bar. They have placed hanging lights in hat was presumably a hotpot / Korean BBQ place at one point and many booths accomodating 4 or more await you. So large groups may do best with the inidivual tables on the side. Wheelchairs and strollers work best at this tables, closer to the entrance. I was craving pho and I decided to go with Pho One since it's the closest place to where I work. They have a wide variety of dishes. From rice plates, to vermicelli, to hot pot, and so much more. They even have an assortment of drinks. I was going to go with a vermicelli option, but last minute decided on getting pho. I got their brisket and steak pho. It was tasty, and the meat portions were very generous. However it wasn't piping hot like it usually is. I could tell because when I put the veggies in it didn't cook down like most places that I buy from. And I noticed their prices went up. This is not my first choice of Vietnamese restaurants to go to, but it hit the spot since I was craving pho and didn't want to walk too far. read more
