Pho Tai Nam (steak & brisket)

We came here because another pho spot we wanted to try wasn't open. So disappointed in this choice. Pho was too salty and had no real aromatic to it. The noodles were still a tad undercooked too. How unsatisfying. The herbs and veggies they give are old and you can tell we're sitting in their fridge too long. The lemongrass chicken rice dish was also disappointing. Chicken was rubbery and where's the lemongrass flavors? Everything came out way too quick and you can tell the quality from that. The Thai tea we got was just sugar no actual Thai tea flavor. How disappointing. We won't be coming back that's for sure.

    Rice Soup with Chicken.

I ordered delivery through Uber. The driver was fast. It was like ge was waiting outside of the restaurant! I ordered the Rice Soup with chicken. I couldn't tell if it was shreds of chicken or ginger ‍. The soup is yummy, but there were too much soup and not enough rice or chicken. I guess I have to add my own rice. ‍

My GF and I went for a quick lunch catch up so we shared these two main dishes and it did NOT disappoint. Very open seating area and it wasn't very crowded so we were seated right away. Service was alright. We didn't know that you had to go up to the counter to pay so we probably sat an extra 10-15 minutes talking while we waited for the check lol. When they first brought out the beef stew we thought it looked a little watery and too soupy but it tasted phenomenal. The crispy noodles tasted a little stale but the flavor in the gravy was on point. We had the Vietnamese coffee to go and even that was so delicious!! Def will be back I'm already ready to order the beef stew with pho noodles instead of the French bread. Drooling already!!

Pho with Special Combination of Beef - Medium, and slice beef outside

Family lunch today and I still love the pho here. The order: Son son: Lemon grass chicken Bahn mi. He loves to deconstruct his and eat his bread, meat, and the pickled veggies separate and together haha Mommy: bbq chicken and spring rolls on vermicelli. They give a huge portion of noodles and veggies. The chicken has great flavor and the spring rolls are crunchy good ness. Top it all off with their face and crunch garlic chips. Daddy: combination pho, sliced beef on the side, which I get an extra dash of onions on top. Their rare beef is the type I love, super thin cuts. Rich, aromatic broth with tons of flavor. A ton of noodles and veggies on the side. The service as usual, pick which seat you want, and food comes out in a jiffy. They had some cool jazz music playing in the background. The only surprising part......the bill wooof, over 70 bucks for our 3 dishes lol. Maybe I should have deducted a star....but hey nowadays, what place doesn't feel likes it's charging an arm and a leg for prices lol.

This is our first time eating here.... as entered in their door step, rude staff is there like no reaction at all like even Say Hi or hello.... very very poor service the Fried noodle is over cooked,(burned) and have a tiny hair.... ,poor cleanliness, and uncomfortable place... and all the plate and bowls are dirty.... no doubt that this restaurant is empty like poor guest....

Bean sprouts for take out was brown

Bean sprouts for take out was brown. And they never give sriracha even if I request it on the phone, uber eats, or in person. Aunty and uncle always assured me its in there. They only give chili oil and hoisin sauce. You would think an establishment like this would know the difference.

    Pho with brisket and tendon
    Wonmoon C.

There were mixed reviews of this place, so I wanted to check it out myself. I got a pho with brisket and tendon, but the broth wasn't the best. I was expecting more of a clear one, but it tasted like mixed with other sauces to get the flavor. The amount of noodles that go into a large bowl is quite small, so if you're a noodle lover just ask for an extra large pho. We went for dinner, and it seemed quite busy. The restaurant was pretty nice. But the utensils were not that clean, and it took a little longer than usual for a bowl of pho to come out. I recommend an order for to-go to dine-in.

Food AND customer service was not good. They told a couple to sit any where and they chose a 4-seater...male worker came out talking loud broken-english telling them to sit somewhere else. Couple got up and left.

We haven't been here since the Covid shutdown but was happy to return a few weeks ago and again this week since we had such a nice experience. The restaurant was quiet both times with only a few dining in but there seemed to be a lot of take-outs. Service was nice and the food was good as we remembered. The first time, we all had the oxtail Pho and loved it. The second time, I decided to try something different and went for the Seafood on Crispy Noodles. It was also good. After reading the reviews on cleanliness, I was concerned however everything look sanitary to me and the food handling was good.

The food was absolutely delicious--especially the oxtail pho, which was exceptionally tasty and full of rich flavor. Everything was fresh and well-prepared. It was the perfect spot to relax and celebrate after a long day. We had a wonderful experience and highly recommend it!

Haven't been here in ages, and it was nice to finally be back. This has always been my go-to spot…read morefor their house garlic chili paste and traditional Vietnamese iced coffee--and thankfully, both are still solid. The garlic chili paste has definitely leveled up in heat since my last visit--noticeably spicier but still packed with that deep, garlicky punch. It's truly one-of-a-kind, and one of the main reasons this place stands out from the many pho restaurants I've tried. No one else does it. They also serve Vietnamese iced coffee the traditional way--with sweetened condensed milk and coffee that you mix yourself. Most places pre-blend it and serve it over ice, but here you get the full experience, exactly how it's meant to be enjoyed. For food, I ordered the chicken pho, while my boyfriend went with the combination pho. Both bowls were very good. The broth leaned on the lighter side flavor-wise, but it was clean, comforting, and generously filled with tender chicken pieces in my bowl. My boyfriend really enjoyed his combination pho, which came loaded with a variety of meats. The side garnishes were plentiful and fresh--lemon wedges, bean sprouts, basil, and even culantro, which is a nice touch you don't see at most pho spots. We also ordered the spring rolls. Two rolls cut in half, crispy on the outside but a bit doughy inside. Flavor-wise they were pretty mild--okay, but not a standout. Service was fast and friendly, which made the experience even better. It was quiet when we arrived around 10:45 AM, but by the time we left, most of the restaurant had filled up--always a good sign. Overall, a comforting, nostalgic visit with some familiar favorites and a few subtle changes. Still worth stopping by, especially for that garlic chili paste and iced coffee. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

This location is located in Kapolei Village Center near Gina's and Mattress Firm. The parking lot is tight (IYKYK) but there are plenty of stalls. We went around lunch time on a weekday and only had two other parties. The interior was smaller than we expected, but we didn't mind - I'm not sure how crowded it gets during a weekend or lunch/dinner rush. We ordered: Thai tea, summer rolls with shrimp, medium combo pho, and large chicken pho. The Thai tea is such a generous size with the amount that you pay and it's so refreshing especially to cool your mouth off when you ask for a side of jalapenos for your pho! The summer rolls were thick and fresh but the rice paper could have done a smidge longer soaked in the water. Chicken pho was good - some parts were a little dry but it was in the broth so it wasn't too bad. The combo pho (I ordered medium) was a perfect size for me but didn't have as much tripe or tendon as I wanted. The highlight for us was probably the broth. 95% of the time I love to add hoisin or garlic to my broth, but this is probably the first time I've never had to add anything else to it because it was SUPER flavorful and the perfect amount of sweet already. Our server did not necessarily keep coming up to ask if we were okay but we noticed him keep looking at us and visually checking. Overall, this place is 5/5 and definitely would come back. We love pho and we're so happy there's one super close to us. Thank you for the yummy food and good service!

When I got there I remembered I got papaya salad from this place years ago but it sucked and that's why I never went back. Anyways, I walk in and don't get a greeting from anyone. Whatever. I pay for my order and then that's it. No "Thank you", "Have a nice day!" Just silence. So already the customer service is pretty shitty. I get home and open up my container and then I'm like wtf, the shrimp were all cut in half. Why would they even do that. That shit is so weird. You basically put like 4 shrimp in my plate and cut it in half. The salad came with 2 sauces, a sweet chili and a watery one I thought was fish sauce. I put the watery one on and it was so sweet. I was like wtf is this!? Plus the papaya was so tough. That salad was so junk so now they are 2 for 2 for bad papaya salad. I'll remind myself to NEVER go there again. I would give them one star but my son said their pho was alright so they get two. However if you're looking for good papaya salad and good customer service, this place ain't it.
