The ladies at the register were super nice and gave us clear directions on where to go. Since it's probably the end of blueberry season, we really had to search for the big, good ones. Honestly, it was a humbling experience--we were both tired after just 30 minutes! We ended up with about a pound and a half, which felt like an accomplishment, and we were more than ready to get back to the AC. I also grabbed some blackberries and strawberries for the road, and the total came out super affordable. Overall, a fun and memorable outing!

We usually go early august and they have quite a few rows of raspberries and the BIGGEST blackberries ever! They are so sweet! When you arrive you get buckets for raspberries and separate buckets for blackberries. After picking they weight and are $11.50 a pound. A full bucket of raspberries is about a pound. The employees are always so nice! There is a sink to wash before your eat your berries, already picked ones if you would prefer that, drinks and ice cream and other yummies are available. There is a picnic table in the shade for a picnic.

Dittmar's apples are as fresh as they get and absolutely delicious…read more This little stand is located under a massive Valley Oak with easy parking alongside and the apple groves behind. The apple varieties offered change over the season as they become ripe. When out of season, the stand is closed. When the stand is open, an apple flag flies along Alamo Pintadato so you can see it as you drive along. Mr. Dittmar was not there last Friday, but thankfully the apples were. We picked up two large bags each of Pink Ladies and Granny Smiths. The large bags are $10, small bags $5. The barrel of seconds was empty. When Mr. Dittmar is not there, you pay by the honor system, dropping cash into a can. Many of the old farm stands and pick your own crops in the SYV are long gone. We are so grateful that Dittmar's hangs in there. The apples are so crisp and tasty, we usually eat one on the way home and so fresh that they last weeks in our refrigerator.

Stopping at Ostrichland USA on our way home from Solvang a few weeks ago was a must on our…read moreitinerary! Pricing was $7 for adults and $3 for kids under 12 plus $1 for each person wanting to feed the Ostrich and Emu. You enter through a gift shop and then out to where all of the birds are - they even had a couple of bunnies and a cat. There were so many Ostrich and Emu spread out everywhere. They come right up to you and just start pecking away! Tip: if you walk down further where the Emu are, there is more room to move around and plus there are lots of birds to feed. I think the Ostrich at the front of the entrance get most of the food - we felt bad not going to where the others were. The whole area was pretty cool - it kind of felt like we were on a safari with how picturesque the mountains and land were. The lady running the gift shop who also explained the rules was very nice! I highly recommend if you have small kids or just need a place to stop and stretch your legs! They offer bathrooms as well! Check them out!

They seemed pretty friendly even though they looked a little scary. As long as you feed these birds don't won't go ape. Fun site to visit if you pass by the area.

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon. The olive oil tasting farm is located in a nice neighborhood area in downtown Los Olivos. There is parking accessible in the back parking lot and limited parking next to the olive oil tasting area and boutique shop. As soon as we parked and headed to the olive oil tasting area, we were greeted by a very friendly and hospitable staff member. I appreciated all the information she told us about the property and instructions about the olive oil tasting experience. Their complimentary olive oil tasting was unique and unlike any other olive oil tasting I had ever done before. There were 10 different olive oils to taste from. You are given a freshly made sourdough bread slice to go along with a tray with a menu sheet of all the olive oils. Some of the olive oils that stood out to me were the white truffle, garlic, and Italian honey. We were then encouraged to explore the rest of the property where there was a charcuterie cart, pottery vendor, and complimentary wine tasting on the other side of the premises. This enhanced our olive oil tasting experience even more. The rest of the property was beautiful as there were a lot of tables and chairs for guests to enjoy. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Olive + Lavender Farms. The staff were nice and accommodating. The vibe was relaxing and inviting. The boutique shop were selling a lot of wonderful and distinctive local products in the area. The olive oils price point are in the higher end. Next time we are in the area we would love to come back.

We did a free olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting, and both my friend and I bought a bottle of habanero olive oil, so yummy! They sell bundles of lavender, soaps, cute kitchen things, candles etc etc. A great stop to pick up some gifts and great way to support local businesses.

Today we added this orchard to our list. I'm assuming it's new since I have never noticed it before. What a nice find. Omg ... I didn't want to leave. It's beautiful. The farm stand had variety of apples, pomegranate, pumpkins, persimmons jam and honey. Everything freshly picked from the orchard. You can place orders for pies and sweets for future day pick up. The grounds are beautiful with a few picnic tables you can sit and enjoy the views of the orchard and the giant oak tree. What a beauty. I'm so happy I found this place. Now I'm thinking it might be a seasonal farm stand when apples are in season but I'm not sure. There was no one there to ask. But I will stop by again on my next trip here to check it out. Great prices and they have a corn maze $10. They also sale Kettle Corn and Waters. If you finish the corn maze and find all the Signs you get a prize. We sure finished it and found all signs. We showed proof and the staff was nice enough to show us our prize a mini pumpkin (how cute). we had such an amazing time.
