Very disappointing meal this evening, 03/02/22 for pick-up. No french fries w/ Tandoori Chicken Naan, why ask me what I want w/ the Naan if you can't check if it was included? Doesn't anyone check the contents? Number 2: Portion sizes have decreased significantly; example #1, only seven halves of brussel sprouts ($12), 7! Example #2, the $14 coconut shrimp now only includes 6 shrimp w/ no coconut taste , but...plenty of lettuce! Take the coating off and you shall find very small shrimp. It was a hot summer evening and the restaurant did not have air conditioning. It wasn't too unpleasant with all the fans going but I felt badly for the staff having to run around in the heat. The bartender's drink measurements were very generous, which helped us to tolerate the warmth. The food is excellent. What a delightful surprise to find plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options. The hummus, naan, unique salads, quinoa, curries - all fresh, delicious and plentiful. Looking forward to a return visit to try out a few other menu items. I am a 21 year old from maine. The bouncer looked at my id and called it fake. He would not let me in even after I called the cops. The cops told me there was nothing they could do if the bouncer didn't want to let me in(the cops are useless). This has happened here before but after explaining that I am really from maine and this is my REAL id they let me in. This time this fat dumbass bouncer told me he's seen Maine ID's before and mine is for sure fake. I AM THE ONLY PERSON FROM MAINE THAT GOES TO SUNY PLATTSBURGH. At least the only I've met. I cannot explain the amount of anger going through me right now. We stopped in on one Sunday afternoon while visiting Plattsburgh. So glad we did. The bar was open and set up for distancing with fun Halloween decor. Although there was just the bartender, he did everything from drinks to food service. The place got crowded but everything ran fine. The food was phenomenal. Poutine was a perfect starter. I had the club sandwich which was generous and came with fries. Son had a giant hamburger-pulled pork combo that was amazing. Good beer selection. Since Me and my Wife has discovered Olive Ridley's we have taken our children and family members to dine in with us on a regular basis about 2-3 times a week, and has become me and my Wifes go to spot to eat in Plattsburgh. The staff is wonderful and the food is great but this all changed on the night of Feb 7th. They had a new staff member working as bartender and waiting on tables that night, from the beginning the bartender/waitress had a bad attitude all throughout the night we had to seek her out for service, including serving us food we didn't even order and giving us an attitude about it. As the night was ending it came time to pay our bill we were ridiculously overcharged (20 beers in 6 hours between 2 responsible adults) which was still paid but when we asked to speak to the manager about our bill we were yelled at and told to leave. As we were leaving the premise the bartender slapped one of our guests in the face and pushed her to the ground, resulting in a broken ankle, my wife went to help her and was treated with the same treatment punched in the face and pushed to the ground resulting in several bruises. We love Olive Ridley's and know it's not their fault, but I hope if Olive Ridley's cares about loyal customers they do make the correct action and reprimand this bartender for her unnecessary force of violence which was not warranted toward us at all UPDATE: We never did receive a phone call to rectify this blatant assault by their staff member read more

Ordered takeout from here earlier tonight, was informed there was a party taking place and that it may take a bit longer to pick up although I was not expecting the sad excuse of food I was given. My mother ordered the crab rangoon cheese dip and wanton chips and as soon as she opened the box it was clear that it was not at all edible. The rangoon dip was atrocious, greasy, solid, smelled horrid, looked like literal vomit and was just overall nothing more than absolutely unacceptable. The wanton chips were oily and burnt, and tasted horrible. The rest of the order wasn't as bad but very cold and had obvious little effort put into it. Never coming here again to say the least, save your money!!! read more

I've always liked this place...and I always seem to come at odd hours. The food is classic bar grub (fish and chips is the sleeper here). 4.75 for a nice sized vodka and lime. Love the tiled floors as well. This place has some age to it but very enjoyable spot while in New York's version of Edmonton in winter. read more

This is a fun bar, which hosts local music, but is more of a sit down than a dancing place. Definitely a local joint, but a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere with outdoor seating. I was pleasantly surprised with the chicken wings, which were very good. I can't say the same for the rest of the food, which was alright, but nothing to write home about. I dig the vibe of this place. Having just moved here, I was walking around town with a buddy and we couldn't walk by Olive Ridleys without going in. The large garage door makes the bar feel very airy, which I liked. We just had a drink; gin and tonics, which were good and well priced. Open mic night was in session, with two kids jamming the whole time we were there. It was not crowded, but I suspect that will change as PSU gets back in session. I really like to place the drink specials were great. I went out to sing karaoke with friends. And the only complaint I have is that the karaoke host girl was rude and obnoxious. She gets paid to be there but she still had to act that way. I've been here multiple times for dinner, work holiday party and just to go out for a beer and darts. Every time I enjoy the food and beer selection as well as the friendly staff. Now they've added a new menu and it is delicious, there are now some amazing vegan/vegetarian food that I've thoroughly enjoyed. The flatbread pizzas have been a favorite with my family. I came to Olive Ridley's for lunch with a group of about 20 people. It's a spacious restaurant housed in a former car dealership that was also used as a booze hideaway during prohibition. Given that my coffee cup never went empty even though I was with a large group, I can tell that fast and friendly service is priority #1 for Olive Ridley's. I ordered a cup of chili and a Reuben. The chili was delicious but it was also huge. I ended up bringing half of my sandwich home with me to eat later. I came to Olive's because my friend had told me about the Beef Stroganoff. I guess it had made him very sick for a number of days. So naturally I had to try it. The employees charged me for $600 of alcohol and food I did not order and proceeded to beat me and leave me to bleed out behind the restaurants rear door. The employees here are monsters. Avoid at all costs. After I brief visit to the ER I was diagnosed with a broken rib, a bruised kidney, and a lacerated spleen. I'm currently being sued for the $600 and I never got my beef.... The food here is terrible and the service isn't much better. We came for lunch off the highway and thought we'd grab a quick meal at a cute looking spot. Instead we waited over an hour for a veggie burger and chicken burger that came out wrong and was instead a beef burger that was charred beyond being edible. They then offered to remake the chicken burger which took another half an hour to make and was given to us to go - when we got to the car it was undercooked and we had to throw it out. Plus, they offered us a discount on the bill but then didn't give it to us. There are lots of other spots around here and I would recommend going to any of the other read more

Ordered an appetizer twice yesterday during SUNY Plattsburgh's St Plattys day and because of how crowded it was the staff just could not keep up and did not take the orders of college kids seriously. Be aware when using a credit card to double check your bank account. Twice now I've used my card at this establishment and the amount has been deducted twice for the same transaction. I asked for a gin and tonic and received a Bloody Mary. When I asked the bartender for a new drink they told me to "take what i could get" and that I was lucky "we don't just serve skinny girls here." As if my bulimia wasn't severe enough.
