Stacy, the owner and funeral director, met with me just a few hours after I called, despite having a full schedule that day, and arranged for my father's service the very next day. SUMMARY: The team at Olive Tree Mortuary helped my family navigate a difficult situation while respecting the process of grieving that happens. DETAILS: My aunt passed away over a week ago in the Orange County area, and a family friend recommended Olive Tree Mortuary to my cousin (the daughter of my aunt). Their team quickly worked with me and her to coordinate the details. Janet was able to meet our unique religious requirements for preparing my aunt's body, as well as respectfully guide us through other logistical details that helped us coordinate the funeral. When we went to view the body, the team had done an amazing job at preparing it exactly as we requested. Janet was incredibly kind and respectful throughout. On the day of the funeral, Isa and Chris arrived with the hearse and were as professional as one would need - especially on a rainy day. They guided us through the process of the pall bearers moving eh casket without slipping on the wet grass. They helped with coordinating a small AV setup that included a microphone and speaker. They held an umbrella for my other cousin as he gave a speech in the rain. They helped to had our flowers and coordinate placement of flowers on the casket. Isa made sure to announce certain elements on behalf of the family while we were each busy taking in the moment. In short, they were respectful and truly experienced with the entire process. They guided us through the process and continuously expressed their love and sympathy for all. My family was very grateful to work with such a knowledgeable and professional crew. I must share our family experience at Olive Tree Mortuary. The people there are The Most Professional Most Caring Most Kind Most Knowledgeable No exception, everyone I sealed with there was Super Exceptional, we had my mother in law passed away on Wednesday after 3:30pm, and within less than two hours she was picked up from the hospital and was taken to there place in Stanton , not only they did this fast but they assured us not to worry or have any concerns, they were so emotional and emphasizing with all of our family members we really thought they were part of our family , Janet , the owner his son and his daughter and the ladies who came to wash our mother were also amazing and super awesome . They made the arrangements for our mother's body to be transported to Lebanon in No Time and made the process so easy and painless , we know this process could take over 4 to five days but they did it all in two days . These people are life savers, they responded when no others did when my Mother-in-Law passed away. They went above and beyond and took care of everything. When an immediate death in the family happens the family members are distraught, stressed out with the arrangements, among their sorrow and everything else. Olive Tree Mortuary took everything on so that we didn't have to worry about anything. They were so accommodating and waited for my son who hit traffic driving up from San Diego to his grandmother's funeral. I don't know how this place has maintained its license. Olive Tree Mortuary is a nightmare and a con artist. you are well advised to stay away from this fraudulent outfit. Olive Tree Mortuary in Stanton was used by us for a relative in 2022 (apparently they have another branch in lake forest as well). They made a massive mistake at the burial and we had to correct it later at the cemetery. When we hired them, their website said they were BBB accredited, but that was a lie. They joined BBB after my complaint to BBB against them. Their president is someone called Goulade Farrah (if that is his real name) who is extremely rude and he seems angry all the time. The funeral director never talked to us before the day of service. The staff told us his name was Isa. Apparently he was the son of the Mortuary president Goulade Farrah. However after the service was over, he said his name was Calvin Bryant and he did a terrible job. They charged us multiple times for items that were completely fraudulent and then they said they were applying a special discount for us. Their pricing is completely fraudulent. We never even knew what most of the items on their bill meant and they never explained them. You may want to skip this place, unless you have a very good personal injury attorney. read more

My mother in law passed and had no arrangements pre made.. having my husband upset on the day of her passing..I took the task to place things in motion by finding a mortuary. We needed to find one as quickly as possible to transport her from the hospital to their facility. We knew the Veterans Memorial Cemetary in Riverside would be her final resting place with her husband but after we were told we needed to make arrangements to have her taken from the hospital soon I knew I needed to do something quickly . After searching online for Orange County I found Olive Tree Mortuary.  When I called I explained I was not sure where to start ..Goulade answered my  call and walked me through every step of the process. His kind gentle manner helped me in a very stressful situation. We were able to handle all the pricing..paperwork..signing of documents through email  and phone calls which took a great burden from us and allowed us to stay at the hospital. It is located in a nice business looking complex which has a comforting signage for Olive Tree Mortuary. The Mortuary has a viewing/services room and another comfortable room where guests can talk and visit also.  The decor was lovely with a serene color pallet. It has a non religous feel but a more comforting and warm feel to it. Anyone looking for a non denominational location or a place where you can bring your religious items (they do both) this Mortuary may be perfect for your service..it was for us.  It felt personal and genuine and only one family service is done at a time unlike other Mortuaries which can have multi funerals or services going at the same time in different rooms. This is a long overdue review. My step dad passed away a few years ago. My mom wanted to have a burial in Indonesia. We don't really know how to handle muslim burial in the US let alone bringing remains out of the country. But Mr. Farrah m, his wife and his son went above and beyond in helping us. They took care everything that needed to be done in here. From picking up my step dad (he died peacefully at home), taking care of paperwork from the state and the Indonesian consulate, making sure that he had proper cleaning according to Islam law, embalming, even booking the airlines tickets for my mom. My wife of 41 years died in the Sacramento area unexpectantly earlier this year. We wanted her buried in the Whittier area to be near her family. We contacted the cemetery where we wanted her buried. They were able to make the arraignments to have her picked up and brought down. And there she lay for 3+ weeks with absolutely nothing being done. We received a referral to Olive Tree Mortuary. Upon contacting Goulade, he commiserated with our woes and assured us he would take matters into his hands and get my wife buried in a timely manner. His son and Janet took very good care of everything and my wife was buried the day before the other place was expected to have a phone appointment to get things in motion. I couldn't ask for a better experience considering the circumstances. My mother passed away 2 weeks ago. We have a very small family, my brother, my dad and I. We wanted something simple as well as affordable. We were treated as if we were their family! There was no hard sell on anything we didn't need. This place was a scam. My father passed away quickly on a weekend after a long illness. I am not in the area but let the medical facility pick OTM. The first day (on a Sunday) the guy (W.R.) at OTM picked up the phone and later responded to an email. But later the next day and next week when I tried to set up the arrangements for my father's cremation I kept getting a run-around or no response for days at a time. All the guy would keep doing is saying he needed more information and kept trying to upsell me and suggesting a higher payment to expedite even though the medical facility said everything was already taken care of it and I had my credit card ready to pay whatever was needed. After 10 days I gave up and called another mortuary...they were completely professional and established that everything was clear in only an hour, and confirmed to me that what the guy was asking for didn't make sense. The new company had everything taken care of very smoothly. OTM also charged me $400 for the transfer, about 4x what the other companies would charge. So beware that this company (or at least the guy who I was in contact with) is not respectful and they are just trying to take advantage of you in your time of need. read more
