This is the kind of review you don't really want to do and the type of event you hate to have. But if you're going to have a service I can only speak highly of Heritage Dilday. My mother passed away and it has been the most heartbreaking experience of my self as well as families lives. Cesar and his staff were beyond kind and compassionate during this difficult time. They made it so easy and my mom had been in the hospital for some time so she had nails that were brittle. We even asked them if they could maybe make them look presentable for the open casket. They gave her a manicure in her favorite color that was so tasteful. Her presentation was beautiful and it was like looking at her sleeping peacefully. Again while a truly sad experience it helped knowing she was in great care. The space is large and we were able to accommodate many guest with children or those who wished not to step inside the chapel area could retreat for refreshments in the room just adjacent. When we arrived the space was beautiful set up for us again in the colors we chose for our mother's service. We had a slideshow play along with some chosen music. No technical difficulties at all and Tegan who was there to assist us during our wake was so helpful. Any questions she answered right away and was always just steps away if we needed anything. At the end of the wake she even let us assist as we said goodbye closing the casket together. They were also so great the following day for the burial service offering guidance to our pallbearers on what to do and where to go. They offered their condolences and even made announcements for us when we couldn't. We are so grateful for their hospitality and assistance during such a hard time. I can't recommend them enough and it's not about value in terms of cost but value in terms of the care they provided. Cost I imagine ranges differently for everyone depending on what you would like for your loved one but I do feel they were very transparent in their cost breakdown. We did tour another facility that was much more expensive as they are a larger chain in the area and offered less for a similar price point. While we hope we never have to think or bury our loved ones, consider this establishment as you will not be disappointed with the service they provide. read more

A great viewing service area to use if you want to honor a loss love one. We came here for my fiancée grandpa viewing service and I believe the whole service was wonderful at this place. The only issue you might face here is the parking situation, they have some spot in the front and some more in the back but it's not the biggest parking lot compared to other places. The indoor decoration of this place is very nice and peaceful. They have a little sitting area if you don't want to sit in the viewing area and they also have a coffee/hot chocolate machine. The viewing area have 2 TV and I think can fit around 60 people comfortably. The workers didn't really know how to work the TV off the tablet so I was able to help them, especially when connecting a MacBook didn't play properly. read more

My family has used Dilday many times in the past and received great caring service, this was NOT the case this time. My loved one passed on a Saturday, we contacted Dilday immidiately. Explained that they coroner would be releasing the body Monday 12pm for pickup. Dilday confirmed this information, I completed the necessary authorizations to keep things moving smoothly. (Note: Dilday stated they would pickup up on Monday between 12-5pm) Monday afternoon, we reached out to Dilday to confirm if our loved one had been picked up only to find out they could not determine when or if this would be done on Monday. We followed up on Tuesday which at that time I spoke with a women. When I explained my issue and that I truly needed some help. She was very complacent and then threatened to hang up on me. Who Does That??? I asked to speak with a supervisor or manager, of course No One was available. In the end they still could not confirm if they would retrieve my loved one on Wednesday or Thursday, they just couldn't give a definitive answer. At this point I was DONE... I contacted Westminster Memorial, gave them my loved one's information they placed me on a brief hold and returned with a pickup day of Wed 12pm. This took them all of 10 minutes. BTW, they also contacted me to confirm that they were in possession of my loved one on Wednesday. Dilday/Heritage has gone down hill, they dropped the ball not once but 3 times. Their lack of organization, coordinating, phone manners, compassion was repulsive. DO NOT USE DILDAY/HERITAGE THEY WILL SCREW UP EPICALLY. read more

Not happy with how long it took them from pick up to return., They gad to be called twice for pick up after mom died and I had to leave enquires as to when we could get her remains back after the original date has passed by three days. The staff wasn't very informative about the necessary information for the intake even though I asked them over the phone a week earlier what information they needed and that led to further delays. read more

I didn't think I would ever be reviewing a mortuary, but here I am. Heritage Dilday Memorial Services is more than a business, it's a blessing. My family has used their help twice in the past for both my grandparents' funeral services and each time we've returned because of the excellent care and service we received. They had Buddhist services and every detail was as it needed to be. Both of them looked wonderful and were treated with such respect. We really appreciated it at such a difficult time. Joe and Elizabeth made sure everything ran smoothly and looked beautiful. Cesar especially, treated us as though we were family and we could see that they took real pride in their work. Sadly, we are in need of funeral services again and this time it was shocking and especially heartbreaking. It was my turn to do the planning. Despite how busy mortuaries have been with Covid and the many restrictions that come with it, Cesar made us feel at ease. We were never rushed or taken for granted. This is the worst funeral home to ever deal with. Our father had purchased a funeral plan in January of 2000. When he died on October 7, 2019 we had nothing but problems from day one. Here it is over 8 months later and we still have not had Dad's headstone received and installed! Every time you call you are given the run around. You are told people will get back to you. They don't! You are told they will look into and have someone call you back. It doesn't happen. Then on top of all that they try to double bill you after you were originally told everything was paid. We are STILL waiting for Dad's headstone and no one will address the issue as to why we are still waiting. Do yourself a favor and find a different mortuary to deal with! read more

My review is from the perspective of a guest attending two services over the past couple years. Both were unpleasant primarily due to the facilities. The parking lot is small with very few other options as nearby businesses post signs prohibiting Dilday parking. The chapel where services are held is 1970's decor. Very plain, unattractive, in desperate need of an update. At both services there was a slide show. The presentation was degraded by Dilday's equipment and the screen was too far away. During the most recent service I attended, the chapel music continued playing thereby competing with the music accompanying the slide show. Finally, the PA system used for the eulogies was poor, barely audible from the back rows. This is not where my family will hold memorials for loved ones. read more
