Been wanting to go to this since I heard they opened a branch here. Just did a day tour in Seoul during a layover but we didn't explore or at least o didn't see an olive young store where we went so I cannot compare this US location to stores in Korea. Aside from the wait (20 mins in line) I also noticed that while they do have sales people around it's not like a Sephora that can really help you with what you need. I was helped by a guy but just to point me in the right direction of the products that I was looking for. Thanks to AI - I used it to help me find the products that I am looking for - I desperately needed better sunscreen so I got the cell fusion c and the cushion sunscreen from round labs. Also took some dietary supplements and the sheet mask that's 10 pack. I signed up for membership and got a goodie bag for that and the cashier also added another bag with samples. There's a toner I wanted to get but it's out of stock. If you're not patient and if you want hand holding maybe skip visiting and wait until they have more locations. There's a Korean beauty store (small but they sell the popular brands) inside Westfield in Sherman oaks if you live in the valley. Otherwise if you're here - might as well check it out. It's not bad but not great. Having some options is still better than none. I've already heard that this isn't like the ones in Korea and yes that is true. I was seeing products I would see in Sephora or Ulta. We don't need to see those here. The store itself was a lot bigger than I had imagined with variety of sections ranging from skincare, makeup, supplements/food, hair to experiences. That is nice. I didn't get any makeup or skincare since I'd rather get them in Korea and a lot of them weren't even there in the store. But it was still nice to try some other products in person to sample before committing to buy. I did see some products being on sale than on Amazon so I would compare prices to see if it's worth buying them in store. What I personally ended up getting are actually the supplements. For me, this olive young is worth visiting for them because they had products I've been eyeing on but not easily available to buy online in the US, as well as supplements I was already getting from Korea, but now I can just get them here when I need it. For the beauty devices, I wish they would just let them charged because you can't even try the devices since they're out of battery, practically just a display. There's no charger at the display. My only hope is they would open up a store in Buena Park or something in OC because Pasadena is a long drive from where I live. read more

Wowwww!! The first Olive Young in America!! Shortly after another location opened in Century City but it's about a quarter of the size of the Pasadena location, so you should come here for the full experience. I parked at the Schoolhouse Parking Garage on Green St between Fair Oaks and Raymond, and it was about a quick 5 minute walk over. For those unfamiliar with Olive Young, they are Korea's #1 Beauty store that has everything from face products, sun protection, make-up, and health and wellness. Every time I've passed by previously I've seen a line, so I came prepared to wait. I came with my cousin, who I knew would appreciate the experience with me, so the wait wasn't too bad. We waited under 20 minutes to come in, and spent more than an hour and a half inside. During this time, we had our skin analysis, tried out products with their cleanse bar, look at all the cool products, used our skin analysis to ask staff for help with products they would recommend based on our skin type and diagnosis. It was also cool to get a copy of the detailed skin analysis, which will be active for 7 days so we screenshot it to keep the info longer than that. Shout out to Kayla who did my cousin's skin analysis. I love the way she explained every step. And shout out to Anelia who I asked for help with toner. She was so thorough and helpful. I felt bad cause I found out afterwards she was about to go on break when I interrupted her. She was so nice and helpful. This was the equivalent of a candy store for my cousin and I. The time passed by so quickly we didn't even notice it went by. We stocked up on a lot of goodies. Oh if you sign up for their membership, they give you a $5 credit. At check out we were additionally rewarded with a member sign up gift and some samples to try with purchase. What an AMAZING experience. We had so much fun. I really like the quality of their products and felt very welcomed and encouraged to try things. I know other stores have samples but it doesn't feel as encouraged as it does here. The prices also seem reasonable and some items have single packets or smaller size available for you to try before buying a big size. We really loved it! Nothing really stood out during my visit. Not to mention, for such a big store..there was not much service/help available for customers. Staffs seemed busy, but not sure busy doing what lol I tried to ask for assistance. The job was done but it really felt like they didn't want to help. I asked one gal and she tried to have this other gal assist. Then the other gal took off so the original gal had to help look for items. She then told us the items were stored in the back of the display items. We wanted 2 of the foundations, but there was only one so the gal had to go look for it. Luckily, they had more. She gave it to us and took off. Not bothering to ask if we needed further assistance. Besides their own brands, they also offered other familiar brands that you could get at the mall. Kind of odd but whatever they think works for them. They sell some snacks, boxed/packaged tea, and some drinks. Not much deals or promo avail. Staffs at the register were slow. Olive Young in Old Town Pasadena opened two months ago as its first ever US store. I was here during their opening month and yes the line was wrapped around the corner. The good thing about coming the first month was that they had this promotion where if you bought $100, you get $20 off. The selection is not as huge as the ones in Korea, but still very fun to look around. I returned today just to browse since I was in the area. Even though you can find many of the same items on Amazon for a lower price, I enjoy browsing and sampling all the different skin care and make up products. I make it a point to support the brick and mortar businesses just so I have a place to actually see, touch and feel the products before purchasing. Today, I got a hair oil. It smelled really good (see, I can smell it in person) and I liked the texture. I've been wanting to check out Olive Young since they opened in Pasadena, so I finally stopped by. Just a heads up, be prepared to wait. We stood outside for about 30 minutes in the heat before being let in, which definitely wasn't the most enjoyable start. Thankfully, once inside, the air conditioning was a lifesaver. The store itself was organized enough to browse comfortably, with shelves packed full of popular Korean skincare brands. If you're into K-beauty, it's easy to lose track of time looking through everything. They also had a skin diagnosis booth that I was really interested in trying, but the wait was over an hour, so I decided to skip it this time. Hopefully I'll be able to check it out on a future visit. One thing that surprised me was how much more they offered beyond skincare. They had a Sanrio section, plus snacks, wellness products, and supplements, which ended up being one of my favorite parts of the store to browse. Overall, it was a fun visit, but I'd recommend going on a weekday or during off-peak hours if you can. Welcome to the US, Olive Young! We're happy to have you! This flagship store in Pasadena is much bigger than the second location at Century City Mall in LA (Pasadena is 8,647 sq ft vs Century City's 2,694 sq ft). It's still so new that there will sometimes be a line outside to get in. I went on a weekday morning and although it was packed inside, there was no line to get in - so winning! The security guard at the door was super friendly welcoming me in and actually told me about a bunch of sales, too. However the staff inside was very busy and I didn't talk to any of them as they were all busy helping other patrons. It was still early enough though that there wasn't a big line to check out so that was nice. The amount of products they have in the shop is mindblowing! So many options, it's amazing that you can browse them all plus most have samples, as well. Aside from all the skincare and makeup, they do have snacks and drinks, plus some Sanrio items and other cute things. My biggest disappoint is that the formulations, especially of the sunscreen, are actually different than the products sold in Korea. FDA regulations block some of the things that make these products so great so they aren't being sold. And when Olive Young opened in the US, the online purchases direct from Korea stopped and everything must be bought through the US site so there's no way to get the original formulations anymore. That's quite disappointing! And in general, more Western products are in the store I noticed. I do really want to go back for the skin analysis so plan to take my friends when they're in town in a couple months. However the store is just so darn busy, it seems like the waits for that are quite long right now. Trotting to Pasadena to find Olive Young hype hasn't die down yet, there was a long line waiting to get in. We waited approximately 20ish minutes under this humid hot weather. As I stepped in to the store, the cool air of the AC was very comforting. I was overwhelmed by the amount of beauty products they have. I didn't know where to start, but I found my way to compare prices with the same brand that I bought in Korea a few months ago. Holly molly ~~~ I'd rather buy them in Korea lollll Then I approach to a counter where they were giving out free Face Analysis, but the waiting was ridiculous for 1.5 hrs, so I said forget it lollll The store is pretty clean and organized. It has a sink with face wash and beauty wands for your convenience . Most of the products have SAMPLE to try before committing to a product. And of course I tried to spray a few hydrating facial moisturizer for my face. If you need personal assistance, there's always beautician standing by to assist you. After all, since I am a fan of Olive Young it does worth coming in to grab some korean skincare and makeup if you don't mind waiting under the heat ~! Yay! Because of the World Cup games, I was able to get into the store without a wait! The store is truly overwhelming and filled with thousands, yes thousands of products. They were sold out of the most popular products and colors, yet OY had many other products available to sell. Staff members walk around and every few minutes they give a LOUD CHEER to lift morale. All of the employees were great and able to make good recommendations. Zoey was particularly helpful and was patient with all my questions. They have a facial washing station to try out the skincare lines. Olivia Young will take back items that are brand new or very lightly used within 15 days with the paper receipt. They will refund all items on the receipt, then they recharge you for the items you are keeping. You must have the original receipt and return items to the original store from which you purchased the items. (They just opened Century City too now!) My wife and I have been wanting to check out Olive Young ever since they announced they were opening a U.S. location. If you've ever been to Korea, you know it's basically the Korean version of Sephora--packed with skincare, beauty products, and all the trendy items people rave about. They carry the ANUA line which I really like. I started using the Anua 10+ Niacinamide that I previously purchased at Ulta, but I'm glad they sell it at Olive Young. I got a $5 reward today for signing up online, so I'll use it for my refill for this item. They also carry Medicube products which I like. My sister in Hawaii just sent me at least three of that line's collagen products and I'm looking forward to trying a few more. They carry Torriden products which I love too. When I run out of sheet masks I'll pick some of those up. My neighbor just brought me two boxes last summer after her trip back home to Korea. Olive Young does not carry Beauty of Joseon. I love their eye cream, but I can order that on Amazon. My neighbor uses the eye cream on her face and now I will do that too. It feels so good. My main purpose for my first visit was a lip stain, gloss or balm that was a color I wanted to go along with my mother of the groom dark blue dress. All the staff are helpful and Daphne H. was extra helpful in my search for the right item. I ended up buying the Hera Sensual Nude Balm in Boysenberry 88. Wow! What an explosive opening! i'm glad that we now have a Korean staple in America now. This is the first location to ever open in the US and I think they picked a great location in Old Town Pasadena right next to the Apple store. I'm even surprised that they have snacks and K-pop albums for sale here. But now I don't have to travel all the way to West Hollywood for Hapa Kristin contacts! Olive Young Grand Opening had good discounts if you spend more than 30, 60, or 100! The best part is the "try me" so you can apply these k-beauty brands directly on your face! The store has over 5000 products and it is impossible to really have the Olive Young Experience in only ONE day! On Friday, I didn't sign up for the intense Skin Analysis so on Sunday I did it at the Beauty Lab! Great product demos and recommendations using the THOME Glow applicator. I finally got educated on how to use it. Make sure to get the Korean Cutting Jelly and the tteokbokki from Bibigo. It was so spicy and tasty :) The sink is large and I enjoyed cleaning my face three times with different products. The lines will settle down eventually or go an hour and a half before closing. In the afternoon it was 150 people continuously waiting in line but the line moved fast. They wanted to ensure everyone had a great shopping experience versus a mob and crowding. The store itself is pretty nice. Kinda like a korean sephora and 7/11 combined cause they sells snacks. Not sure why they had nonkorean brands in here though like batiste. I like that they have skin and hair analysis to show concerns of your face or scalp. The sales associate also said you could try everything at the store so i was able to try some eye bag things and toner pads. Deals are also a little confusing because i saw buy 3 get 1 free for 1 brand but it didn't say what. It was only for facemasks instead of their toner pads. I went during grand opening weekend but the lines were so long I didn't want to wait in the lines. They extended the grand opening sales through Monday so I decided to go back then. The lines were equally long. It took an hour and 10 minutes from the end of the line to get into the store. By Monday, a lot of the giveaways were gone. I ended up getting a free mask and a bag with purchase. The sales were good but many of the products that were heavily discounted 40-50% off were sold out by Monday. Bummer! The store is really modern and has so much to offer. I didn't get a chance to try The skin analysis that they offer for free but I'll do that next time. Visited the grand opening of Olive Young US. Keep in mind I have never opened an Olive Young Global account so I have no insight on the membership point system and transfer process. The line to wait for the store had plenty of shade so I did not feel overheated while I waited! Staff brought out flowers and water throughout the day though I believe it's only for the grand opening. There were so many brands to choose from. However, the way it's organized is a bit weird. They organize by the type of product (toner pads, sunscreens cleansers) and also by brands . Sometimes if you want a toner pad by a specific brand they will not show up in the toner pad section only in the brand section which makes it a bit confusing where I should look. There were plenty of staff to help me find the products I needed and they were wonderful and gave my recommendations. There are not Dr Groot or Aestura products nor any of the Korean collabs with Pokemon etc. There is a Sephora across the street which carries Aestura and Dr Groot so I'm not sure if that's the reason why. I did order online and they were extremely quick to deliver my products as the warehouse is based in California! Because of this, I would probably just buy online rather than in person because it is quite a long drive from me! read more

It was just as much fun the second time around. This time we took family from out of town to check it out. We went around 4 and there was no line to get in. This time we did the skin analysis, was fun to get the report. We were so excited to see the scalp analysis tech was there so we signed up for that as well. The store was super clean and there was so much to look at. They are constantly adding and changing, so every time you go it's going to be a little different. Well I stood in line for four hours to get inside and didn't get the gift today, but it was still worth it. I had a great time perusing the selection of products and trying them out. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There's a skincare station where they do a free analysis with recommendations. The sunscreen is the US formulation. The axis-y sunscreen was Korean, but had a bit of a white cast. I would say most of the sunscreen was the FDA approved US version. Other Korean stores do have the Korean formulas, so I was hoping for a better selection with some of those, including numbuzin blurring sunscreen and other products that weren't available prior, but were available on the global storefront. They did have a huge selection of other products though, including the skinfood and green tomato, which I haven't seen much in other stores. I wish they had some more different Anua products. For example, they were sold out of the big hyaluronic mist, and I didn't see the BHA serum. Also, I didn't see any Somebymi, which is weird because it's available online. Not sure why they don't carry Laneige. It wasn't on the global site either. Notable, the d'Alba spray and Purito serum I got are cheaper than at Ulta. If you don't want to stand in line for 4 hours, wait a few days, but definitely check this place out. I would be worried if I was the Sephora across the street. read more

I had high expectations since I have been to several locations in South Korea. After waiting about 5 hours(!!), I finally got to go inside on grand opening day! Was sad that I didn't make the cut for first 200 people to get the gift bag but it's ok. I was excited to explore since it was a pleasant experience back in Seoul. So you have to sign in your name most likely there is a line , so Mia ask me for my name and phone number. When time comes they will text you and you have just tell them you got a text. They assign you with someone to go over the scan. So Crystaly helped me, she was super thorough, very sweet how she made sure I was understand the process. They have this skin scan a small device they can parts of you face after that's done the results are in tell you what most need to take help improve your skin. Then they told me ask any of workers and show them on your phone what you would needs & yes you need your phone in able to show the result also I have a suggestion please don't wear any makeup if you want to do this skin analysis scan. SunScreen is fine to wear too . Or you will have to take it off in order for you take the scan. Not only did Tyler tell me about these products he politely showed me the way! So thoughtful of him . I also had some other questions regarding other serums and he answered them beautifully! He not only helped me, he also helped my sister in law and our dear friend. Tyler really listened to all of our concerns & was showing his suggestion which we all felt we would buy what he suggests! I could Tell right off the bat Tyler is a super people person, super polite, so very down to earth, kind, caring, extremely genuine, very sweet and sincere! Tyler G. As someone who absolutely looooooooves Olive Young in Korea, and always raids several of them whenever I'm in Seoul, I was over the moon when I found out we were finally getting one here, and in Pasadena no less! I went on a Saturday for my best friend's birthday, and we waited super long in line. It was not a fun time. Because we waited so long, I felt the need to purchase things once inside to make up for my time spent. There were some brands in there I was very surprised to see, like Coach's perfumes (huh?), and some products/brands I was surprised were not there (Clio cushion foundations???? Why are they missing a staple?). I got a pretty nice tote bag with a zipper (!!) and double handles (one set for handheld, another for shoulder carry) for spending over $50 (I think; I ended up spending around 80 bucks so it could be $75, not sure). Mediheal was also giving away a free sheet mask if you follow their Instagram. I'm happy with the products I purchased, and I'll be back to peruse and swatch things, As of now, they are still selling sunscreens with a Made in Korea label, so I'll definitely be back to restock my sunscreen. However, it just doesn't hit the same as the ones in Korea. Of course, very high bar, but the deals are just ridiculous in Seoul (2+1, 1+2 deals??). Also, I oddly found myself wishing to hear the high pitched welcome messages from the staff members (IYKYK). I would like them to stock more bestselling Korean products and less Western products, and it'd be a nice touch to offer water or umbrellas for long lines in the upcoming summer heat! read more

Really cool store with a lot of cool products in a well laid-out display. 1-star review justification; when you're helping a customer and showing them products or speaking to them and other customers approach you, kindly tell them you're helping someone. Don't leave me standing there (yes, I'm the elusive customer) while you help them in the interim. I was asking about a specific product and twice in that interaction, the sales associate did this. I get that a lot of it is about customers that aren't self aware and stop someone that's clearly helping someone else but this is where customer service decorum should kick in. Should, being the operative word. Needless to say, I put my stuff down and walked out. I hope OY trains their staff a little better. It was my first time visiting Olive Young and overall it was a fun experience! When we arrived, there was thankfully no line, so we were able to walk right in. As we browsed the store, we learned that you could sign up for a complimentary skin scan. We signed up and it was about a 30 minute wait which went by quickly while we explored the store and tried different products at the cleansing bar. The skin scan is quick and they provide you with a personalized report. I am excited to try the products I picked up! read more

I had a wonderful experience at Olive Young. On June 29 we went out for ice cream and noticed there was no line and quickly headed over to the store. Every time I've wanted to go that was a long Lionel around the corner and I would not want to stay in that line. Had a wonderful experience girls were all very attentive and the guys very helpful. Very professional not knowledgeable. Kayla helped me at the skin scan. She took me immediately. There was nobody in line which was great and Maritza at the register and Maddie at the skin scan area. Everybody was amazing. I had a great experience. I need to spend more time and understand the products more and need to go back to go over my skin result to buy the correct product products but overall it was a great experience. read more

I placed my order on August 30, 2026 but the Olive Young still has not shipped the product or provided any update. I had to contact customer service myself, and even the representatives could not tell me when the item would ship. I requested a refund due to the lack of communication and uncertainty, but my request was refused. This has been a very frustrating experience. Customers should be notified promptly about shipping delays and given a reasonable option to cancel or receive a refund when an order has not shipped. read more

Pretty fun experience if you're able to brave the line! Highly recommend going on a weekday before 4pm for least amount of time spent in line. They have some interesting sales, a good amount of items are out of stock. It looks very similar to the olive youngs in Korea but this space is very very big and it's much more glamorous than the ones in Korea. There's a skin analysis bar, a face wash bar, a whole dedicated colored contacts section, and more. They don't have some niche products that big skincare junkies would be on the hunt for, but they do have a lot of great korean beauty brands. Knocked off a star because the prices here are pretty much never better than online, but at least you can guarantee authenticity when you buy from here. I love that Olive Young came to the USA . Maybe they should have imported more of their Korean staff from Korea to initial inform their employees here about their products. It was disappointing that I inquired 2 different employees about products and both had very vague responses not being able to tell me or show me products suitable for my skin type. They didn't have any recommendations either, which was disappointing. I might have spent more time and money if they had suggestions. Came a few times to Olive young with my wife. Grand opening weekend and after - 4-7 hr wait a couple free carnations and some water. First 200 recieved a pink bag with some products which was nice. Free slot like push button machine not working until afternoon evening time for free product. 1st bummer especially since it was shown all over social media. 2nd bummer, Pushing to new customers on their website and telling everyone at check out they'll give you a free products seems like a lie, because we've come 3x and each time given the we ran out response, but come by another day and ask for it. 3 visits $$ spent. Hours of waiting. Came today waited about 45 mins at 11ish. Out of a lot of "popular items" you'd think with as much product you push to have a LOT of inventory to support it. 3rd bummer having certain items ingredient changes due to being available for US sales. Not the same product as advertised really. If people are used to a specific version should be able to order online at-least to get it and offer both versions. Staff very friendly. We'll see how well things go in a month or two when things mellow out a bit. read more
