TLDR: give it a try! It's a great introductory to laser skin treatment. Do not expect overnight immediate results. Staff is great! Don't be late! Let me preface by saying my skin is already pretty good; concerns are light acne scarring and large pores. My skin is clear and smooth for the most part thanks to my acne meds and receiving facials from an esthetician years prior to combat my acne. I saw the ad on Facebook for the first facial laser treatment to be 50$ and figured why not! Seems like a good deal. I was required to fill out medical information prior to my appointment which is standard, I've gotten a laser facial before (4 years ago now at a different place) and they want to make sure whatever you are on medication wise doesn't interact with the treatments. I received text reminders about my appointment and the day of I received a text with instructions on where to park and where they were located. I am familiar with Downtown Pasadena and know it can be a little busy so I made sure to get here early! The place itself is a small office so I can see why being on time is important. The interior was welcoming, the front staff was friendly, the decor is lively with semi private seating areas to have your consultation. I met with Dailee for my consultation and she was really sweet, informative and easy to talk to. She went over the treatments they offer along with membership promotions, it did not feel pushy at all. Bilal was my nurse. He was also informative and efficient in going over what the treatment would do, how it would feel, and how to care for my skin afterwards. Both Dailee and Bilal were upfront on treatments needing to be consistent to see a major difference. The laser treatment itself was very quick and painless. I have tough skin and it just felt like a hot compress was being wiped over my face. Afterwards Bilal rubbed in serum and SPF so I was good to go! For the next 24 hours gentle cleanser, gentle moisturizer and minimal sun contact. I am not able to commit to the memberships or consistency needed so I did not sign up. I also have skincare I already like using so I did not purchase any products. I do appreciated the information on products, treatments, and promotions they offer though, nothing felt pushy. I will absolutely be back to do a more intense treatment for my face and neck. read more

Not for everyone. If it doesn't work for you, you still have to pay the monthly membership fee anyway. They ask for a tip after each service for at least $40 or so. It is run like a corporate chain and not personalized care. There isn't acknowledgment or concern whether it works or not and the upselling is real. The concept is good. Maybe try it and avoid the package. I'm glad it works for some people and wish it would have worked for us. read more

I visited this Pasadena location today for the very first time, and the service was absolutely fantastic. From the moment I walked in, the receptionist was incredibly welcoming and nice. The nurse who performed my procedure was equally wonderful--she took the time to thoroughly go over the treatment and answered all of my questions, which really put me at ease. Since I was a first-time client, I was able to take advantage of their discounted first-time facial. It was a great, low-pressure way to try out their services. There was an updated response to my first review and I am writing this updated review as a response. As per my last review, I understand and was informed that we are 2 separate back to back appointments. We also acknowledged and accepted the $25 charge for my partner's tardiness for his appointment (also stated in my previous review). We did not have an issue with that. The issue was having a SECOND charge after that, an ADDITIONAL $25, which is not applicable to the 2nd appointment (mine) nor his (as he was already charged $25 for the initial tartiness). I did not consent to a SECOND charge. I was told by staff that the SECOND appointment was NOT supposed to be charged. I was then told that it is for being late when I, the second appointment, was not late. I was not informed of any charges in regards for MY appointment, which is where I feel misled and lied to. I have been chasing down a response to get this issue resolved but there have been no correspondence from the office nor this avenue. So I have taken it up with my bank. It has been over a month and this feels incredibly disappointing and unprofessional for the handling of customer service. This response has continued my frustration as the principle of informing a patient has already blatantly been ignored and my asking for clarification and resolution has also been mishandled. read more

*December 2025 update since 2022 review* I travel for work and it's hard to commit to a membership so I am super glad that every end of the year, Skin laundry has a holiday sale during Thanksgiving week. In the past, there are lasers for 200$ which the typical price is at least 500$+ ... I have been purchasing these "once a year" promos and hopes SL Pasadena continues to do these for people like me who can't commit to a membership. Since work travel keeps my schedule inconsistent along with being in healthcare and keeping track of my other beauty treatment appts.. I LOVE getting these deals. Thank you! My most recent experience this month was SL's first time to offer a promo for their with their Revita Chemical peel (a very light peel with 1 day of down time) -- this peel was 50$ instead of 250$ -- you really had only 24 hours of downtime as this is a super gentle peel; my face actually didn't do anything snakelike so just FYI it's not that strong but still effective -- I saw LAUREN as my nurse and can I say that this nurse was not only professional, kind, and efficient?! I have never done laser treatments of any kind before and was constantly anxious about my appointment. But a worker there, Jackie, was informative upon consultation. I did the once a month package because I was constantly traveling and can't know my schedule. This plan is flexible for those who are as nomadic as I am. The first Signature facial laser was actually quite intense for me. My guess is that my skin was brand new to this kind of treatment and ended up becoming tender in some of the thinner-skinned areas of my face. So at my next appointment, I told the RN, Lauren, if there was a way to avoid that tender spot. And instead, she said she would lower the intensity of the laser. I know I probably was not getting the most effective results by doing so but I have to listen to my skin. I eventually noticed my skin built its tolerance and by the 5th month we did the normal level as spot treatments. I did notice my forehead lines and the lines between my brows were not as apparent as before. So I'd say the treatment was effective for me at least after 5 months. Always listen to your skin! Im glad my skin and the plan worked with each other. I'd honestly suggest people it's your first time, try to see where your skin's tolerance is at for lasers with a less frequent plan. Then you can work your way up to more frequent treatments and Skin Laundry also allows you to upgrade your plan as well. read more

Communication was stellar through this whole process, from booking the appointment to giving me after-care instructions. Previously raved about this place but the staff has changed and the service shows it. I had to wait over 10 min at my last appt cause of alleged machine issues and then they could not even treat me. Came back in today for a make up before the end of the month, I was exactly 8 min late (was previously told they had a 10 min grace period) and she said they won't be able to treat me. They called at 5 min past my appt time to see if I was coming and I said yes I am literally crossing the street. This appt today? They double booked and then called to push me back an hour.
