I have been walking and driving by Oliver and Tate for 2 months, not realizing that they were open for business until just a week ago. I was looking to treat myself and a friend to getting our hair done, so I Facebook messaged about pricing (their website isn't quite updated yet). Lo and behold, they have a special deal on Fridays from 4-6pm for "happy hour" blowouts. $25 for a wash and blowout/style/updo, all while you sip wine. My hair was done by Lindsey who was great, but the other stylist on duty, the receptionist, and the owner who was around while we were there were all extraordinarily kind and attentive. Our wine glasses never stayed empty for long! I loved my blowout (a special treat for curly headed gals like me), and was in and out within an hour. The decor and ambience is unlike anything I've ever seen before in a hair salon - super chic, classy, and highbrow. While I haven't tried their other hair services, I would definitely recommend the blowout experience, especially at that happy hour price. I had called around to several salons in Omaha before finding Oliver and Tate, and no one's prices were that good. read more

I want to start by saying that I love the cut I got, it was exactly what I asked for. I have zero complaints about that. I called in the morning and was able to get in the same day. I have zero complaints about that. The salon is beautiful and really should received 5 stars. But, I can't get past the fact that the brushes that were used by the stylist doing my hair and the one next to her were gross. When she opened the drawer to pull out a brush, there was a golf ball size wad of hair sitting next to the brushes, and the brush she pulled out already had quite a bit of hair on it. I looked at the brush that was laying on the cart belonging to the stylist next to us, her brush too was full of hair, too much hair to have come from the person she was working on. read more

Absolutely incredible salon. I've been going to Ryan for several years and trust him with my finicky and very particular haircut. The atmosphere of the salon is incredible and put together because of their attention to detail. In addition to the incredible care and attention to your haircut, things like the beautiful couch and reading materials in the waiting area, the free coffee or other beverage offered while waiting, the good music, the friendly help, it all makes for a great experience. As someone who's forced to find a new salon in a different state every few years, finding somewhere I feel equally trusting and comfortable isn't an easy find. From the customer service to the amazing products to the quality of the services, I can't say enough about Oliver & Tate. I came in for a hair repairing mask and a quick trim to get a feel as a first-time customer, and I was quickly turned into a repeat client. I followed my stylist Nikki here. I'm so glad she moved here from her last salon! The owners Ryan and Sara are SO NICE and their dogs couldn't be cuter. Everyone here seems genuinely happy to be working and they're all so hospitable. I also enjoy the french press coffee every visit. [On Saturdays, they give you a mimosa!] My hair is always so gorgeous and Nikki never disappoints, she's the best! I had a really great experience getting a haircut from Nikki! The classy decor and the way I was treated made it feel like a very high end salon, however for a wash and haircut it was only $40! Very affordable for the classy salon experience. My stylist did a consultation at the beginning, then a wash, and then a haircut. She really took her time on my hair which I appreciated because often times hair stylists seem to rush through the wash and cut. I did not have any heat products used to style per personal preference and Nikki even offered to style my hair wet in a braid! Sweet of her! read more

I cannot get over how much I loved this place. You feel welcomed the moment you walk in the door and that's stays until you leave. The inside is just adorable and everything is perfect. I had Kezlie and she turned my gross, grown out extensions into the perfect medium length hair cut. I didn't feel like she judged my laziness in keeping up with my hair and was super helpful without being pushy at all. I'm super loyal to my hair stylist and it was hard to leave the stylist I was going to, but I'm so glad I did. Highly, highly recommend! On Friday we had some last minute free time and decided to take our son to get a much needed hair cut. He is almost 13 and is starting to really care about how his hair looks. A few months back, we took him to one of those cheap super cut or great clip type places and showed the stylist the haircut he wanted, which was the popular hard part. He really likes Jordan Rogers hair. So, that's what he asked for. It wasn't long before we looked up to see the stylist completely destroying his hair. She didn't know what she was doing and instead of asking a co-worker for help, or advice, or even having someone else doing it, she continued on. Well, his hair looked horrible when she was done. My husband and I were mortified. He was going to have to go to school with a horrible haircut or a shaved head. My son was so upset and even got teased at school. So, we made the decision to never go to a cheap place for our sons hair again. We recently moved in the Field Club neighborhood and drove by Oliver and Tate. Did some research and made the choice to give it a try. It is a beautiful salon and we felt a little silly taking our kids to such a nice place. But, I am so glad we did. We were welcomed by very friendly smiles and very warm people. Ashley was the stylist that cut my sons hair and she did an amazing job. He is very happy with his new haircut and enjoyed getting a proper shampoo also. My husband who also has very nice hair and really cares about it, says he's gonna make this his place too. We all are. Obviously, this salon is more money than the super cuts of the world, but it is worth it. They provide full service with a smile, even to a pre-teen. They also serve fresh coffee, tea and other beverages. We feel lucky to have a beautiful salon like this in our neighborhood. If you're looking for a new place to get your hair done, this is it! Was hoping to try something new closer to home. When I made an appointment the girl said she's never done what I had asked her to (a simple layered cut) and said that she's only had her license for a few months. So unprofessional and worry-some. I was on my toes the whole appointment. The stylist was incredibly impersonal and made it very obvious that she did not want to be there. I don't recommend this place. This place had a lot of promise, great design, great product lines, friendly. I saw Lindsey and she completely screwed up my color (like purple hair when I asked for strawberry blonde) a few times. I finally spoke up and said my hair wasn't what I asked for and got a color correction. Lindsey said to me to justify why she had colored my hair totally wrong colors "I didn't realize you wanted your hair to look like the picture you showed" and admitted she had done a completely different color than what I asked for with the pictures I brought. I never would of thought a misunderstanding like that would be possible. Why else would someone bring a picture? After the color correction, which at least the salon comped so some good there, which still wasn't what I wanted for (but closer), I politely thanked and tipped Lindsey yet again for bad color - knowing I had wasted hundreds of dollars for color I didn't ask for. I found out after that despite going out of my way to handle everything politely and professionally, always treating their staff well and tipping, that speaking up about being unhappy at this salon would mean they wouldn't want me as a customer anymore. When I asked Sara, the salon owner, if she could recommend a different colorist for me to see - still hoping to make this salon work - she got weird and passive - and made it clear without saying it that she didn't want me to come back to the salon. She did eventually recommend a different colorist to me, but it was clear she didn't want me to come back simply because I had said I was unhappy. So this review is for Lindsey's lack of skills to be able to correctly formulate the color asked for and Sara trying to drop good clients just for saying, even politely, they didn't like how things looked. read more

They always offer me tea or coffee, but the last time I went was after work and she offered me some wine, which was a great add to my pampering! Hadn't had a haircut​ in over a year (yeah...) and the longer I waited the more I dreaded getting one because​ every time I do, something about it is weird and off. But Lindsey did an absolutely perfect job. Upon arrival,​ I was greeted and offered coffee/tea/water. When the coffee came out it was sooo adorably presented. The atmosphere​ is obviously 10/10. On a whim, I looked to see what hair salons there were close to Midtown Crossing. Oliver & Tate popped up. I scheduled an appointment with Nikki over the phone. Was fantastic they offer clients free parking. That is a great benefits as there can be limited parking during certain times of the day/week. The salon is beautifully decorated! It has a very inviting feeling to it plus they offer you complimentary drinks upon check in. Receptionist is extremely nice and easy to talk to. Nikki did a fantastic job on my hair. She listened to what I was looking for, then offered suggestions. She did not make me feel self conscious about my lack of style, it felt as though we were just having a 1 hour friendly conversation. I will definitely be back. Walked past this business for months and never knew it was a hair salon. This is a no brainer....found my new hair salon! read more

A high end reasonably priced salon. I have no complaints whatsoever Alyssa did my hair better than I could have imagined. This is the only salon I haven't felt judged at. Other high end salons make me feel out of place but Oliver and Tate makes me feel right at home. If you go to a different hair salon you are wasting your money. read more

This is a very nice and clean salon! As I walked through the front door I was greeted right away by a smiling receptionist that couldn't have been nicer. She immediately directed me to a comfortable waiting area and returned with a glass of ice water with lemon. The atmosphere was warm and I was relaxed as I sat near the beautiful fireplace. Within 5 minutes my stylist came out and introduced herself. Her name is Nikki and I don't think she knew what she was getting into. What I mean by that is that I haven't had a cut in quit a while and she handled it like a professional. She provided me with a incredible consultation and within 3 minutes or less we were on the same page. We had a excellent conversation throughout my service and I don't think there was any time that went by where there was any awkward silence. I applaud Nikki's professionalism.
