I have astigmatism so it's not always easy to get the exact right Rx, but Dr O'Conner and Jennifer and Sal are always very patient. When I started to need progressive glasses, Sal & Dr. O'Conner were super supportive in getting them just right for me. After all these years, I am still an extremely happy patient at Malibu Eye Center! As I stated earlier, my mind was set and I wanted the signature Trucker Hat. After speaking with Ciera, she said it would be at Malibu. I even called the next day to confirm, and told it would be available at the Malibu location, so we made the trip 35+ miles to the west. When we arrived, I was told they only had a Red baseball cap. ($660) I felt pressured to buy it as the sales associate said "Buy it." Although he was very honest and helpful, they carry limited sizing and sometimes their in store stock isn't reflected as it should be. A little disappointed at the misinformation but hey, what can ya do. At the end of the day, I purchased a few clothing items, and a mask. (Funny right? Wanted a hat, bought a mask and a tshirt). Masks are strictly enforced (over the nose) and there is a bit of a wait time. Surrounding area is a park and a very nice shopping plaza. I recommend checking out the Whole Foods afterwards and hit up the Hot Food Bar for some grub. 5 stars goes out to the gentleman and sales associate. They were professional and helpful. Also let me try on the cologne which is delicious. Thank you Chrome Hearts. I hope to do business again in the future when I can afford it.

I'm pretty sure they're not technically part of Malibu Country Mart (although more or less in the same plaza) but Broad Street Oyster Co and Prince Street Pizza are also worth a stop. There are quite a few fun outdoor features like a ping pong table, an oversized Connect Four board, a playground and sandbox for kids, and lots of outdoor seating. On a nice day it's fun to just come and people watch. There's also a Whole Foods with a really nice hot bar and olive bar if you want a cheaper food option for lunch. Gets pretty busy on the weekend and parking can be a challenge. There have been times that we've had to park across the street before. Worth a visit while in Malibu.

I don't think i could have had a worse experience, by the manager. i frequent the area and saw they were having a 1 a year open house and got modelo and a stella. from the moment i walked in, the manager went and spoke to security and i inquired to the sweet lady employee, what is your manger doing? she told me how he is looking out for my best interst and telling the security to watch my nice new backpack. i said something is wrong with your manager. anyway, i browsed a lil bit but kept having a gnat, like around the LIght, buzzing around me, the manager. so after a couple of people, one tall man in particular inquiring about my glasses; i showed how my frames were actually welded and since the manager trying to be like slime moss growing on my rock, asked him if his frames were welded, as it's a lovely job. he claimed yes but this is not the case. i will admit, their glasses felt really good on, like oh ahhh, this is nice and light and comfy. but $495? i know all glasses were on sale $145, the manager pretended that the freakin' place was closed down and kept trying to push me out after asking me if i was going to buy something. i told him how i've stepped on my glasses before and look, they're fine, very sturdy and lovely, the lady employee liked them a lot too. rose colored reds, unusually optimistic but i really don't need another gnat around the light, another lying sociopathic piece of poopie breathing my air. the one lady had to keep lying for his behavior and i can tell this is the status quo, employees seem way to good to be around some sociopathic codependent employee relationship. that's okay because my buddy at the art shop was throwing a real party with no gnats and i got to give an interview about art and how it's very special, how it only comes from the Creator, how evil does not nor is capable of possessing it, like AI, they can't create. to end the art, music, etc. programs in our schools really takes a piece of our soul away. I felt sorry for the employees and how they all had to back up lying and pathetic petty and ffffneeeeeeeeeedy behavior. that's not how you sell glasses and i'm sure some others that witnessed it were appauld. i'm the one that just walked into your store btw and asked you for the card, only one being left ;) DeeAnna Blette read more

Alan the store manager is a discriminating person. My father came in and bought glasses he wasnt so sure about but wanted to get the opinion of the family. So he purchased it. When he came by 18 hours later they declined and only offered store credit and it's their policy. I told him in all honesty my dad can not read very well and has dyslexia and regardless of that this is a high end store and the policy of no returns should be disclosed like dozens of other high end stores disclose anything before purchasing. ALAN told me that's not my problem and still declined. It makes me very sad that someone can be discriminated against for not being able to read and for such a extreme policy that 99.999% of stores in the USA do not adhere to. The glasses were not damaged and in perfect condition just like the way they left. The sad thing is my dad loves this brand and is so sad that after almost 60yrs on this planet its one of the first times he's being punished for his disability. What shocks me is what happens if someone was blind. Alan would probably tell him sorry company policy should of asked someone to read it for you. All I want is a apology from Alan the store manager to my dad. A refund to make things right and lastly a new policy that they must disclose it before the purchase. Okay, I was looking for a very specific pair of sunglasses from OP. It's the Victory 55 frame with the chrome amber lens. This is a custom color, and no one carries it. They are on back order from the OP factory. Rudy sets the bar for customer service. He had the lenses pulled from a different frame, and put into the color of frame that I wanted. No extra charge for this. He also had the cognac lenses in gold frame, but they are too dark for my climate in Washington. Rudy gladly accepted my 5 phone calls, answered all my questions about colors, comparisons and everything else. He shipped them out next day air, and included his business card. He also left the address of the nearest OP dealers in my area, and the one closest to my home, he contacted for me. He told them to expect me to stop by to have them adjusted and fitted to me. I can't say enough about customer service like this. Rudy is what others aspire to be in customer service. read more

They did not add the blue light filter for computer which I specifically requested and paid for and the glasses were made of this awful plastic material which is probably the cheapest available. I could hardly see my computer and was getting headaches from straining my eyes with the terrible glasses they made. I had to go somewhere else to get another pair and pay again. So I WASTED MY MONEY MISERABLY AT THIS PLACE! NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO BACK!

When I arrived, there were two employees assisting a single customer who was making a purchase of more than $2,000. An employee named Arien (I assume this is his name as it was on the return receipt, but could very well be the other employee working) asked what I needed, and I told them I was there to make a return. I was told they would help me in a few minutes. After waiting about 10 minutes, Arien thanked me for my patience and again said they would be with me shortly. I explained that my return would only take a few minutes, but they continued assisting the other customer without helping me. Another 10 minutes passed, and instead of assisting me, Arien suggested that he could CALL ME when he finished with the larger purchase so I could come back later! I was genuinely shocked by this response and again explained that my return would take only a few minutes. It's important to note that the other customer wasn't even checking out yet--they were still browsing frames while both employees spent the entire time cleaning, adjusting, and preparing glasses. At one point, the customer himself even told the employee that it was okay to help me with my return first, but the employee still refused. After waiting approximately 25 minutes, and only once it was obvious I was becoming frustrated, the employee finally processed my return. The transaction took less than five minutes. When my return was complete, the other customer was still browsing and had not yet finished selecting frames. Prioritizing the potential value of one customer's purchase over providing timely and respectful service to another customer is unacceptable. Every customer deserves to be treated with the same level of professionalism, regardless of whether they are making a large purchase or a simple return. This experience was frustrating, dismissive, and far below the standard of customer service I would expect.
