We came here for a coworker's goodbye party after they had been with our company for 20+ years. Unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired. We had a group of 30+ people and were initially seated in the front corner, right next to the entrance, where people were constantly walking through our group. We thought moving to the high-top tables would make more sense since they would allow people to stand, eat, and socialize. However, I believe the owner told us we couldn't use those tables because he needed them for his dinner rush and suggested that we "go around the bar." That comment immediately made me feel like our large group wasn't considered valuable because we apparently weren't going to fit into the establishment's preferred setup. Honestly, I wanted to leave at that point, but I stayed because I was there to celebrate my coworker. What establishment acts rude to potential paying customers? Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn't improve. The establishment simply did not seem prepared to accommodate a group of our size. There appeared to be only two servers and one bartender trying to handle 30+ people. The servers were clearly overwhelmed, but unfortunately that also came across as rude and unwelcoming at times. We understand that they don't take reservations, and that's ultimately on us for choosing this location for such a large gathering. However, if you know you have a large crowd coming in, you would hope there would at least be some ability to accommodate the group. The food was mediocre at best, and we weren't even able to order everything we wanted because there was rarely anyone available to actually take our orders. I really wanted this to be a nice place to celebrate an important milestone for our coworker, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing from beginning to end. Oliver's is a big place, with a lot empty tables (except on game nights). Oliver's has a different "Special" every day of the week. And they Always have a good deal on Chicken Wings. Their fried chicken is crispy and the portion is big. I wish there was a wider dipping-sauce selection, but the Ranch, the BBQ, and the Buffalo Sauces are all good. This is a restaurant and bar in Woodstock downtown. When we went on a Thursday evening it wasn't busy at all so our food came out quickly. The food itself was mostly good with good serving sizes - I thought the burger was a bit dry but thankfully I had asked for bbq sauce on the side which helped. The sweet potato fries were delicious. Oliver's is a friendly, casual spot to get some grub or drinks. The atmosphere is low keyed, comfortable and welcoming. The food is good, although we go for adult beverages on occasion. Their gaming room is nice, private and fun. The waitstaff is friendly and on the ball. It is busy with all sorts of people dining, drinking and socializing, family friendly. As a door dash order, I was impressed with how quick my order arrived but it soon became clear that it was quick because it had no seasoning. Potato soup had great albeit bland chunks of potatoes but with no salt, pepper or green onions it was flat with nothing to make you want to keep eating. Also, tip for your Togo orders: please invest in some disposable soup spoons and not just flimsy plastic ware. Think Panera or noodles and company. They invested a bit more for quality plastic ware. The Patty Melt was dry and flavorless. It was piled high with onions which I normally love but these onions had not been properly prepared as there was zero browning or caramelization ergo: no flavor. And how can you not send condiments? I am so confused. I spoke to a very kind woman yesterday over the phone who said they have gluten free buns and wraps. Today, I called to order my whole office lunch, and when I asked for a gf wrap, the lady I spoke to said they have no gf options, then proceeded to say "I have a party of 16 waiting to be seated, so you can just call me back if you don't know what you're ordering". Later in the conversation as I told her we need to order now, and continued to list off the orders, she started speaking to a co-worker about whoever told me they had gf options. We had an awesome lunch while touring Woodstock. Oliver's is just off the square which can make parking difficult. They have a soup of the day. Today was particularly cold, so we had 2 of their potato soups which were thick and nicely flavored with bacon. Next, we had salads and a wrap. Both the Mediterranean salad and the cranberry, apple salads were served with fresh, grilled chicken which was spectacular. Also, the California summer roll was excellent. We had great service. Restaurant and bathroom were super clean. Would love to return. read more

There was a homeless bum when I went here bugging people for money and the staff took care of a real quick and Woodstock's police were fast on the spot. This place is a cool looking bar that has a grill and a spacious interior with plenty of dining seating options. There's a big Square bar and overall this seemed to be a cool place inside to hang around. Cheap prices and great food! Oliver's is a pretty new addition to the Woodstock square and is a welcome sports bar in an area that didn't really have a good setup for sports watching. There's a huge wraparound bar with views of the TVs and a gambling section. There's also plenty of indoor tables for group seating and a TouchTunes for jamming out. Stopped in here on a weeknight in early fall 2022 for dinner. We sat at the bar and service was attentive. Beers were cold, adequate bourbon selection to choose from for our night cap. We sat outside at Olivers by mistake (intended to visit DC Cobbs). We were pleasantly surprised with exceptional service from our server and all staff. I enjoyed the ribs, which were "fall off of the bone" tender with an expected BBQ sauce. My only suggestion would be to add more gluten free options and vegetables as sides. We've been to olivers before during our travels the food here doesn't disappoint. The service here SUCKS takes forever for someone to come over and acknowledge you. The server seems to be obvious to what's going on. If you order drinks, water, double up you won't see them for awhile. It was so bad the couple we where with left a 37 cent tip.
