I feel like it's overrated and has a very loyal neighborhood following. I've had a breakfast burrito a couple times and they are bellow average relative to what you can get around town. I was incredibly excited for a sandwich, but was very underwhelmed. It was a soggy mess. They must have left it setting in the back for a while before bringing it out. People get very excited about their breads which are similar to your typical banana nut bread but with a verity of options. read more

I Love little "mom and pop" places off the beaten path and that's exactly this place. I got the Chicken Cesar with a scoop of chicken salad and it was very good. They also had low-sweet peach tea which was yummy. Also got a piece of the pumpkin chocolate chip bread and that was the real winner! The food is good but the prices are absolutely insane! Like $15 for a salad $14 for sandwiches and I know that they get their bagels from Safeway so it's just insane pricing but they do have really good pasta salads and their homemade bread is absolutely phenomenal read more

We actually both just had half for lunch at a local park and ate the other half after a hike the next day. I had the bird in the ham sandwich. Oliver's in the clutch! I was so sick and on the hunt for homemade chicken soup and Oliver's came through. I ordered a bunch to-go and it was as chock-full of all the good stuff with a flavorful broth just like I make when not sick. Very generous serving and nourishing. Nice and clean, ample parking, pleasant efficient staff. We both had the BLAT bacon lettuce avocado and tomato on a fresh toasted couple of slices of sourdough. You could just tell the ingredients were Uber x fresh and every bite was a succulent journey to sandwich utopia! It seemed most customers came in and exchanged hellos with names with the staff. This tells me lots of repeat customers for the great fare. We had chips and lemonade and I just had to get a slice of their pumpkin cake and it made me feel better than just about anything. Fabulous place for a first date as the endorsing are flowing as you consume their love....... Overflowing. We had the oliver and the tom terrific. Both were pretty good but the oliver was definitely our preference. Cute ambiance but the service was slow and left a lot to be desired. They definitely show a lot of preferential treatment to their regulars which is fair but can be frustrating when you order two sandwiches before someone who orders half a dozen different sandwiches and they get their food 15 minutes before you. The sandwiches tend to get soggy quickly unfortunately so I would recommend eating in rather than taking out food. read more

A real hidden gem!!! In a small strip mall off I-25 is the best bread you can imagine!! Also a key ingredient in their delicious sandwiches. In addition to the standard breads, they have all types of sweet bread like chocolate chip banana all available by the slice or loaf. There's a surprising amount of seating for such a small space but don't expect to seat a party of 10 easily. The entire staff is super friendly and happy. You can tell they enjoy working here. Such a fantastic, old-fashioned, traditional, home-style deli with generously-filled sandwiches. This place is full of great service and quality. Today I was there to pick up a whole carrot cake for my son's 21st birthday on Thanksgiving. When he was young and homeschooled, he and I came often to Oliver's to lunch together and share a slice of their heavenly carrot cake and to split a turkey on sour dough with avocado. Definitely the best in town. Homemade breads for all the sandwiches and to buy, breakfast all day and sandwiches -- one can't do better anywhere. Piled high, mmm good - The Oliver (like a reuben), chicken cranberry salad , and more. . . Even just get some wheat toast or french roll toasted with breakfast or with soup. The specialty breads are amazing - I love the Lemon Almond Cranberry, but there is one for all tastes. The soups are freshly made and terrific. I come regularly for the homemade mushroom. (Soup and sandwich isn't just half a sandwich but 3/4!) And the welcoming environment with inside and outside seating. Friendly staff and customers. Betsy, the owner, is the best to offer this to the community. Did I mention they serve Serrano's coffees (from Monument)? What a delight to have them close by and not have to travel for that coffee - can even buy ground coffee to take home. And specialty coffee drinks! As always, a very nice environment...sandwich was good with the exception of bacon which was rock hard in the BLT....bacon was cooked too long... Oliver's is a favorite, except for the bacon prep, which seems to make rock-hard on each occasion. Will attempt to avoid that menu item in the future...especially since bacon there broke tooth a couple of weeks ago. Service is friendly and efficient. read more

Food was poorly prepared and took much longer than stated. Someone needs to tell the people in charge that cream cheese shouldn't be a one-to-one ratio with the width of a bagel. We were visiting in 2019 and found this place on a whim and I'm glad we did. Great service both times. The Oliver was delicious and you have to get their sweet bread for dessert. We loved the banana chocolate chip bread so much we bought a whole loaf! Our toddlers were hungry and a little testy but they offered them some bread to hold them over. 10/10 recommend. read more
