We've been looking for a no-frills old school diner and this is certainly it. We can't wait to go back. Crispy has browns, runny eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon that you can order "medium or crispy"--what more can ya want? Also, especially for being an old school diner, it's clean (as are the bathrooms) which I appreciate.

An absolute hole in the wall fortunate find, suggested by a long-time employee in the industrial complex a street over. Sheldon's has been here 47 years and none of us working literally a block away knew. The best description I have of this place is "your grandma's cooking," and that's definitely a positive review coming from me. This place was the perfect diner-esque food without being greasy. I ordered your regular tuna sandwich, toasted bread, with macaroni salad, and it was a light but filling meal, which left room for homemade pie. Get your apple pie warmed up a la mode, it was absolutely the right choice. This affordable stop is a great, classic visit for the Springs, and while it seems to cater to a little older of a crowd, any age would definitely enjoy it. 4 stars for wonderful service and solid food, it's just nothing fancy or innovative.

Generally, I don't care for restaurants green chili, but it was very good here. The service was excellent. They always kept an eye on us for refilling our drinks and coffee. This place reminds me of a little retro diner. It is absolutely wonderful, and I look forward to coming back.

    Little burger and fries, yummyyyyyyu!!!

One of the worst breakfast places in town. Service was good, but the food is blah. Many better options.

Great local diner, delicious! And large portions. I tried the tuna melt and it was one of the best I've ever had.

Not bad at all, also not the same. The burger was kind of dry and almost seemed reheated, which is not at all the norm. I was so excited to have a location nearer to me. I love Skirted Heifers and will continue to enjoy the downtown location.

I ordered online. I arrived 1 minute prior to the time it said my order would be ready. I went to…read morethe "Order Pickup" area and the guy passing out orders said they were really busy and backed up but it "looked like my stuff was on the grill". No big deal, it happens. So I grabbed a seat at the stickiest table I think I've ever sat at in my life. After waiting for about 15 minutes and never hearing my name, I noticed a guy walked up to the counter and was handed a black bag. Next to the bag they handed him sat another black bag. I wonder if that's mine, I thought. So I walked back up to the order pickup area and asked they guy, "Did you call my name, Barry?" He checked all the tickets lined up and said to me in the most smug tone he could muster, "Dude, I don't have anyone named Barry". And then just went back to doing whatever. I said, "Hey man, do you not remember? I was just up here looking for my ToGo order. You told me you guys were ba..." and he cut me off and goes, "Oh ToGo?" And then walks over to the black bag that was sitting there and goes, "Barry?" I nod, and he snatched the back up and slings it on the counter and goes back to doing whatever. I said, "Hey man, how long has it been sitting there?" He smugly replied (as if I was a burden) "probably like five minutes" When I asked how come he didn't call me he just ignored me. He just turned around and went back to doing whatever, totally ignoring me.I said, "Look man, I don't want to get back to my hotel (about 10 minutes away) and my food be cold." He just looked at me and shrugged and went back to ignoring me, as if I was a burden to him and the store. I said "hey man, I think it's BS you're ignoring me" to which he just turned around and walked away. Honestly he's lucky I didn't pull him across the counter and teach him some manners, because his momma obviously didn't. Also, the food sucked. But I'm not sure if it was because, and as I suspected, when I got back to the hotel both burgers and the fries were cold. It was so bad we didn't even eat it. We just threw it away. An absolute waste of $40 (and if I'm being honest, I'm not even sure if hot the food would be worth those prices). Any way this place sucks and I hope and bunch of terrible stuff happens to that dude.

We arrived and put our name in, there was a 20 minute wait. Since my grand daughter was sleeping we waited in the car for our table. It was ready in 15 minutes so early. When they are not busy, their customer service is excellent. When they are super busy, their customer service is adequate. The ambience here is definitely old-school café where you can sit next to strangers at a big long tables and in the old days where farmers would come to chat with each other after working all morning. Their French toast sandwich is delicious. Their omelettes, also delicious. Bacon. Yum. Pancakes also yum. Cinnamon Rolls, OMG. The one thing consistently that I do not care for here are their hashbrowns. To the point that I try to order things that don't include them. The menu says they are golden and crispy. They are not. I have asked specifically for them to be golden and crispy. They, still, are not. I don't complain after they are brought incorrectly cooked. I don't send them back. I just don't eat them. But I have never once been here where I've been served hashbrowns that made my tummy smile in delight. They are flavorless and mushy. Slightly more solid than the consistency of mashed potatoes. The coffee is weak. Typical of many breakfast places, though.
