This is an awesome place to go. Go there for grocery shopping. Also go there for sandwiches and anyting freshly-cooked. Go to the bar and have a local fresh beer on tap great selection of beers lots of wine available as well to drink. They also have a nice bar menu with great prices. The store is more expensive than Safeway or Raley's but they have a lot of specialty items just like Whole Foods if you're in town check it out it's a lot of fun. read more

Visited Sonoma for four nights in May 2018 and ate every dinner at Oliver's via take out, we stayed at The Hampton Inn nearby, also Very Good . This is where the locals go ! Their salad bar, sandwiches, & hot foods are not to be beat Do yourself a favor and get takeout food here. The salad bar also has multiple grilled vegetables including asparagus , strawberries, blueberries, pecans, grilled chicken, cheese, and much more Their Produce is MEGA Fresh with a Great selection of cheese. We got several blocks of some type of horseradish cheddar which was really good too ! read more

This review is solely for the Tavern section of the store. I love shopping here and do often I have no complaints. However when it comes to the tavern I have noticed a downward spiral effect so to speak. Service is hard to get, nothing is consistent... and when it seems good staff is there they no longer are. (That revolving door) The beer selection has gotten horrible as if who ever is ordering isn't into beer. It got to the point we don't even go there as often because of the selection. The wine is over priced for 4oz pours (mind you that they sell the bottles usually for the cost of 8oz- no way) Today I stood there for 10 mins waiting to be served to spoke to. At least my tacos were good, didn't get a beer once again cause the selection sucked. Hope that one of the corporate people wanting to keep the tavern Going reads this and gets the selection going strong again. I know I'm Not the only one that has this complain. Nice to see some competition for the other megastores in Windsor. Although figure on prices being about 20% higher than the other stores, the quality is worth a portion of that markup. The variety and freshness and the sheer volume of their turnover makes a distinct difference. Their deli is impossible to get waited at, I just can stand there and wait for 15 minutes to get served. They either need to get a few more bodies to help or handle the lines a little better. Their check out lines are quick and efficient and never having to wait more than one person usually, if so they will open up another register. ( what a concept, something Safeway should figure out) The meat department is well stocked but the fish counter is a little lacking in the varieties that I am looking for. Everybody carries Salmon and Shrimp and Prawns, how about one or two other options, ( Molsburry's is a good example of variety ). I like their cheese counter and the knowledgeable staff, and their vegetable selection both normal and organic is excellent. All in all, it's a decent place to shop as evidenced of their full parking lot every day. It's our go to place now, (except seafood) better than anything around and it's on my way home too. Only thing I would like to see is more fresh salads like, whitefish, herring, fresh smoked salmon, instead of being the little plastic containers, but you can't have everything unless you go shop in Marin. read more

So nice having an Oliver's Market in Windsor and having it West of 101 is even better. Great selection of everything local. Employees are helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable. Numerous in store demonstrations allow you to try before you buy. Spacious tap room serving a variety of local brews and also serving food. If you are attending the Thursday Night Concert at the Town Green, you can take away a BBQ or Cheese plate and enjoy during the concert. Thursday night from 5:00-7:00 a local brewery is on site serving their brews and Fridays from 5:00-7:00 a local winery pours the wines (for a fee). Very good selection of food, meats and produce. Are there a few items cheaper at Safe Way, yes but a recent informal price check also showed several items at Oliver's less than Safe Way. I have noticed far better selection and service at Safe Way these day which is actually annoying. Where were you before Oliver's opened. Guess the customer didn't matter then. read more

Shopping could worth some but not the meals having in Tavern. I ordered the smoked salmon with bread dish to give a try And it's completely creamy and a lots of capers topping with almost not even a single whole piece of salmon on the entire platter on a top of the bread and it's very strange. Beautiful store! I had a wonderful experience from the time I walked in to the time I walked out! The store was so clean and the staff was just amazing. I went to their deli department today (the day before Christmas Eve) so it was understandably really busy, but the young lady who helped me was very sweet and didn't make me feel rushed. She took the time to answer all my questions and even let me sample 3 different turkeys to make sure I was happy with what I was getting. I wish I could remember her name but she had bright pink hair. The checkers where very friendly as well. I definitely recommend this store! read more

This review is only about the tavern off the green. Didn't like this place at all, so I took a look at the beer list & food menu and left. 15 beers on tap, they have a happy hour, & the pub grub looked good. However, it's in the corner of the store, & there's not even any separation from the rest of it. At least they had the good sense to do that at hole foods in coddington. Too bad they couldn't figure that out here. Not my favorite olivers either. I didn't even bother to look at their beer here either. There really isn't anything worth coming to Windsor for yet. Olivers has been a wonderful addition to the Windsor community! They have amazing prepared food, great butcher counter and cashiers waiting to check you out! The only downside is the long wait times at the deli counter and taqueria. But the food is worth waiting for! People seem to think it's more expensive that Safeway, but in general prices are very similar. Sometimes Safeway has a sale and the prices drop, but Olivers also has good sales! I tend to stock up on non-perishables when I find them on sale at either place, so it's typically not an issue for me. Produce can be pricey, but you are paying for the better quality and often local items. Olivers is fantastic! read more

I wish I could write a review just for the deli department, they are by far the slowest deli you could go to in all of sonoma county. Quality wise: A+ everytime . Efficiently wise: F- - -, oh how I wish it wasnt so. It takes on average 45 - 1 hour to get 2 sandwiches ( even when you're the only ones there ) I've given them multiple chances and it never fails, they get slower and slower everytime. This time was the last straw. The older lady, with the sour attitude and face ( her name was Andri ) took an hour to make 2 sandwiches. AN HOUR. We had ticket #11 and they were helping ticket numbers in the high 20s when we finally got our sandwiches. She even had the audacity to to toss our sandwiches on the counter when handing them to me. She by far needs a review and some kind of observations on how she handles and interacts with paying customers. We never get out the door without paying less then 40$, no one deserves that kinda of treatment when all they want is something nice to eat on lunch break. read more

The market is nice - for those of us familiar with Whole Foods, it has that feeling. I find the prices to be somewhat higher than an average grocery store, but not outrageously so. Some items are a good value compared to Big Johns or Safeway, others are more - you have to shop a bit. Prior to this week, I had had one experience in the Tavern that was overall good - staff was friendly, beer was good, live music on Sunday, and I loved that I could get my food at the prepared food bars, pay for it in the back with my beer, and bring it in. Recently, however, I had a very bad experience with Tavern team members. I was there at 8:20 - 40 minutes before the posted closing time for the Tavern - and the staff made it very clear that they were ready to close for the night. To say that they were less than friendly about helping us would be an understatement. We had to wait in line and pay for our prepared food at the front registers ($25 for 2 of us) because they had closed the register in the back. Anyway, by the time we waited in line up front to pay for food, we ordered a beer at "last call" (8:30). It was clear that they were doing us a favor by letting us buy drinks 30 minutes before closing time. By 8:45 the staff was picking up the stools around us and picking up our food containers out from under us. It was obvious that we were the only thing between them and closing time (and we were not the only people in the place at this point, but others were getting the same treatment). We spent about $35 all in for dinner. Customer service matters at that price. Probably won't be back. Both of us work and we completely understand how it feels to be at the end of a very long day and be ready to go home, and we have both worked in food service, so we get it. HOWEVER - if you don't want to be open for beer/wine and food service until 9, then don't be open until 9. But if you do, then the service should be the same all day. It doesn't take 40 minutes to close, and if it does, then perhaps you need different help. read more

Clean and friendly staff. So many options and great cheeses and hot bar. The parking lot is never difficult,however I don't care for the design of the entrance to the parking lot. The store and service itself is amazing though. They also have great coffee. read more

Great local store with terrific ready to eat options. We enjoyed the burrito bar and fried chicken, both were flavorful and fresh. Ok, so I live in the Windsor area, and I cant belive I had not been here yet! I walked in and was blown away, saw the giant cheese bar, then continued to check out the salad bar, hot food bar, and holy cow the deli!!! Theres even a taqueria and tap room! Ordered 2 sandwiches, and the lady at the deli counter was super nice. The deli is chock full of all sorts of goodies...if you dont know what to do for dinner, go here. Except then you wont know what you want because there are a ton of options! But that's not a bad problem to have LoL. My only regret is that I loaded up on the macaroni salad at the cold bar, but when I got home I found that it was completely soured and inedible, maybe it was looked over and got left out overnight. I had to throw it away. I hope no one else had it, I probably should've called and said something. However, everything else was amazing, and I want to shout out to the lady that made our sandwiches, can't wait to go back this weekend! read more

Great place! Lots of healthy food options! They have a lot of vegan products!! It's basically a local Whole Foods. We really enjoy Oliver's although their a bit pricey! They also have an area where you can order food/buffet style and sit and eat. Their desserts are Devine!! If you looking for a good birthday cake get the "fruit basket" cake it's unreal! This review if for the deli department only. Although, the store itself is gorgeous, clean, and the products (especially all the vegan offerings) are amazing. Okay, so back to the deli. I've now had 4 sandwiches (ALL vegan), and they are the best deli sandwiches I have ever had. And I've had a lot of deli sandwiches in my life. These are simply the best, and the tastiest. Who knew that veggies, mustard, soy mayo, and vegan cheese could make such a spectacular and tasty sandwich? Well, believe it. I am beyond thrilled with their sandwich artistry. Not to mention grateful. My only picky-nit is that I have faxed in a sandwich order form a couple of times (available to print from the website), and you have to call to make sure they received it. They have to literally run upstairs to the office where the fax machine is. One time I faxed my sandwich order in and just assumed that they received it (my fault), and when I got there, they had not received it, and they instructed me to always call and make sure it came through and that there was someone there to retrieve it and walk it down to the deli. It seems a little more complicated and not a very reliable situation. But it is not a huge deal, and I'm a patient gal, so it wasn't upsetting or irritating. I just wish for everyone's sake who faxes in a sandwich order, that it could be reliably received (in the actual deli department, not in a room upstairs). Perhaps someday they can get a fax machine installed in the deli, to make everyone's lives easier. Anyway, kudos to the deli department, and the entire store staff. It's an incredibly pleasant place to shop and like I said, the deli sandwiches are delicious and drool-worthy! Do yourself a favor and get thee to Oliver's next time you need to pick up an item or two, or just to get a spectacular sandwich! read more

The store itself was really light and bright and easy to shop but had a really terrible experience with an employee being quite rude. While we were there, she was walking behind us and was sort of rushed. She never said excuse me and pushed by us rudely. My wife and I commented on this and she came back and was rather rude with her response, not something I would expect from an older employee. Sad to say I will not be coming back to this location due to this interaction. I would have complained in store but we couldn't catch her name. Since moving back to this area I've been thrilled with the addition of an Oliver's in Windsor - and it's the best one; big, beautiful and did I mention big? The deli is great and the staff super helpful; I got in late last week from visiting family out of town and didn't make it over there until they had begun shutting down the deli, but in the spirit of excellent customer service I was helped quickly and without any attitude whatsoever. If you want a smoothie go to a different store they'll make it wrong and then lie to your face about it, waste of 6$ when I asked they both lied to me because it was all acid and it's messing up my stomach. Super upsetting they didn't offer to remake the smoothie after telling her it wasn't made right and it was hurting me. Not coming back to this location despite how nice the interior is. That was rude never would have happened if I went to the Cotati location. Update: it's been barely an hour and because they didn't listen to me it aggravated my acid reflux and I've already thrown up twice. Thanks for wasting my money and my morning. read more

We've been waiting for this for a long time; a west side grocery store. We are frequent triangle shoppers (Costco, Safeway, Trader Joes). Oliver's really fits the middle. While they seem to be bit more expensive (not like Whole Paycheck), they do have a great selection of high quality veggies, meats and other specialty foods. They also have many of the standard brand items as well. I was also happily surprised on the pricing of some of their higher end and/or organic items; they beat Safeway on many an occasion. Now for the fun part; their prepared foods are excellent and prices are reasonable. The tacqueria is great and has some secret value items like $5 for 4 mini-tacos! All made fresh to order with high quality ingredients. Of course the store is gorgeous for a grocery store. A couple of negatives; the isles are a bit narrow and the coffee bar folks could be a bit more jovial for us caffeine addicts! Regardless, welcome to Windsor, we're glad you are here. Really excited that this place is like a wegmans in the west coast. Had the sushi of the day and the Sonoma wine and was super happy. Really good fresh sushi, with real wasabi, and amazing Pinot noire. You can even come for quick bite to go because a bowl of sashimi bowl is under $10! You could find pretty much everything you want here including a full bakery with gelato and happy hour menu till 6 pm. If you want healthy groceries and a bite to grab at the same time this is your place. Uncool about the corkage fee for their own drinks but everyone here is really helpful.
