Came here the other night with my boyfriend. It's in an area of town where there's no street parking near the restaurant you have to walk a couple blocks to get there, it's in residential area. The restaurant itself is small and the tables are tight but they do what they can with the space they have. We ordered the humus to start and then I ordered the chicken shish kebab platter and my bf had the falafel wrap. The food was delicious. I really enjoyed the chicken I had, it was really flavorful but also perfectly cooked and moist. The rice was so, so good. I tried my bf's falafel and enjoyed it as well. The humus tasted fresh. I would certainly come back here. They don't serve liquor just an FYI just beers and wines. read more

From the moment you walk in, you feel this casual vibe that makes this restaurant so unique to all the others in key west. Our host aka the owner of the restaurant was not only a kind man but he delivered excellent service. My bf and I shared the baba Ghanoush and the stuffed grape leaves which both were excellent especially when paired with the tzatziki sauce!!! I had the chicken shish platter which was amazing loved the flavor of the chicken and the salad that came with it was so flavorful and not just your average salad. It also came with tzatziki which of course was delicious as well. My bf had the kofte wrap, the wrap itself was great, the meat was well seasoned, the proportion of the sauce was great, the tomato based sauce that comes along with it was delicious especially when you dip the fries in it. Last we had the baklava which to me was okay but that's just because I don't really like deserts for my bf he thought it was amaaazinnggggg!! We also had a Turkish coffee which really brought the whole meal together. Everything was great albeit a bit pricey but .. it's key west. at least you get quality food and it's also great small date spot. read more

We had very attentive service and the food was delicious. We started with the babaganoush with its perfectly triangles of pita. They roast their own eggplant and it tasted authentic. Not the mayo filled one you get at other restaurants. We had the chicken shish kabob salad. The chicken was soft, savory marinated and the salad was fresh crisp and served with a pomegranate glaze. I ordered a side of feta to go with my salad which was a generous portion and came in a perfect triangle served on a glass plate, how classy. We had tea served in Turkish style clear glass that was steeped to perfection with no bitter taste and brown sugar in the packets. We finished with the baklava dessert. Three squares enough to share served warm made with honey and fresh pistachios. We enjoyed this place and will be back. The restrooms are outside the restaurant around the back. Just unlatch the entry gate. They were well maintained. We had no problem finding a parking spot but it is street parking as are many places in Key West. read more

This little Turkish restaurant is absolutely fantastic! Everything was delicious, flavorful, and authentic. The owner running the place was very attentive, friendly, and accommodating. It's everything we came for and then some. Our group of four women (one is Turkish herself, and the other is married to a Turkish man and visits Turkey often) thoroughly enjoyed dining here. We had both the Combo Appetizer and the Zeus Combo Platter to share. Perfect amount of food. The owner even made their coffees to go so we can catch a planned show on time! A very solid Mediterranean spot! Stopped here for lunch and we were not disappointed. I ordered the kofta wrap and the meat was well seasoned and cooked. The best part was the loads of yogurt sauce they added to it. Helped add some creaminess to the heaviness of the meat. Also got the baba ghannoush which was decent. While deliberately driving a block or two off Duval St just to see if we could find a great little, off the beaten path, shop or restaurant that's where the locals only know about...we happened upon Olive's. It's a tiny little space possibly no larger than a double-wide food truck, with possibly 4 or 5 tables. And although we wanted local and authentic we still wanted to sit inside with AC. It's summer in the Keys. We're not savages! As we were walking in Key West, the enticing smells pulled us in. The friendly Chef/owner sat us quickly and gave us the wine list explaining there were two Turkish whites and two Turkish reds worth trying. My wife and I are both into wine and have never experienced any wine from Turkey so we ordered two glasses of white. One was touted as close to a Chardonnay in flavor and characteristics and the other a Pinot Grigio. Both were outstanding and I used my Vivino app to see that both are out known out there in the Wine-o-sphere and get overall ratings in the high 3.X range. We ordered a sampler plate off the appetizer menu consisting of pita bread and two hummuses, baba ganoush, and taziki . Everything was fresh from the dill in the taziki to the lemon in the regular hummus. The other interesting "hummus" was one made from beets and was yoghurt based and was wonderful. For main course we ordered and split was the Gyro plate and it was served with pita, rice, Turkish salad, and two types of sauces. One was regular taziki and the other was a red pepper based sauce. The meat (ground beef and lamb) was tender and had lots of flavor. The rice was amazing and we found out later it was cooked with goat milk butter and had home made orzo in it also. For dessert we had the baklava which is probably the best I've had anywhere. Typically baklava tends to be "too something", I.e. too sweet, too sticky, too stale, etc. but this was perfect. All fresh ingredients melded and balanced into something fantastic. We also tried one glass of the Turkish dry red wines and it was also a hit. It was a nice medium bodied red that would go well with almost anything and it did go well with baklava. Do yourself a favor and stop in and enjoy some really good Mediterranean food at Olive's in Key West soon. read more

We are local and love to see different cuisine offerings in the Keys so we have been looking forward to trying Olive's and it was worth the wait! It was extremely hot and we had our dog so the gentleman up front kindly allowed us to sit inside with her and she chilled on the cool tile.
