I love this place, from the food to the staff it's great. The homemade pita is to die for, I always leave with an extra bag which is only about $4 because I eat it at home with everything. The hummus is delicious and the you get a good amount. I totally recommend Olives they make it fresh right there in front of you so you know what you are getting. When I left I opened the container and was disappointed in the amount of tabouli they hardly gave you any there's more Romain than tabouli for $7.50. Such an awkward experience. The lady taking your order was so rude. Didn't say hi or greet me in any way just kind of looked at me strangely waiting for me to order. I addressed her about this. I was afraid they were going to spit in my food so I had to watch the guy make my food. They were VERY concerned about me doing this and I did not feel good as a customer. The food is delicious but the employees are just nasty. This is my last time coming here will not bring friends or family. Terrible. read more

One of my favorite family-owned restaurants in the Paradise Valley area. Olives serves fresh, homemade, flavorful Greek dishes with a friendly smile and a willingness to address all your dietary needs. I am recently vegan and went in here two weeks ago, and was so thankful I did! Jessy the owner was so wonderful, helpful, and informed me that they could very easily do the vegetarian plate vegan by substituting more tahini for tzaziki. Let me tell you--the food is amazing here! I have actually been to Greece (the island of Santorini for ten days) and this food was reminiscent of the fresh tomatoes/produce, salad dressings, hummus (I enjoyed the baba ghanoush and artichoke olive flavors--delicious!), and more that I ate in the small cafes along the Grecian coast. My boyfriend enjoyed a Greek salad with gyro meat and an order of dolmas and said that it was all very tasty and fresh. He described Olives as having a very friendly staff and great ambience. Lastly, I asked about the freshly made baklava and the owner, Jessy, told me that they make everything in-house daily (their baklava is veganl!). The food is decent but their customer service leaves something to be desired. As one of the last customers of the night, we were annoyed when the cashier began vacuuming the floor near us during our dinner. After asking her to stop until we were finished, she told us that they have to clean a half hour before they close. Then she continued vacuuming and even went on to sweep right next to our table. As a former server, I know that is no way to treat customers at a restaurant. read more
