So good! Definitely authentic (we were the only non-Polish speaking family there). The polish platter and soup are tops. Avoid the kebab.

Good dumplings. Everything is on point. Everyone around us got bread and we did not. Strange.

This time, my host recommended Smakosz and I was quite impressed! I wish I had a bigger appetite because there was so much that was appealing on the menu! I settled on gołąbki, which is a dish my wife and I have made at home. The cabbage leaves on Smakosz's gołąbki were incredibly tender, and the flavor was everything I'd come to expect. Our server was delightful and attentive, and the ambiance is warm and cozy. If you're in the area and love good Polish food, I think you'll be quite happy you visited.

The server greeted us by telling us when they closed and scoffed when I asked for a table. Then proceeded to give us 2 minutes to look at their very long menu. We were given the check when we barely started our meal over 15 minutes before closing. And as soon we were done came back and said "are you ready to pay now" they were aggrieved to work yet exited to take money! We ended up leaving 5 minutes before closing anyway and there were others still seated being treated like normal human beings should. Needless to say we will not be returning.

The staff is incredible and fun, the food is delicious, and the ambiance is quite pleasant. In terms of dishes, we tried the Carpathian wild mushroom soup with black truffle oil, cabbage rolls, crispy potato pancakes, and the colorful party platter, which comes with an assortment of pierogis. The party platter was my personal favorite. They have many tasty cocktails, infused spirits, and mocktails to choose from. The Glory to Ukraine shot is delicious and highly recommended. The restaurant has plenty of seating indoors and an outdoor patio that is perfect for enjoying nice weather.

Updated review! Came for our anniversary and had a delightfully delicious time!…read more I don't drink alcohol but I was supremely excited when I convinced our waiter, Dima, to serve us the wheel of fun with berry compote and uzvar -- which is a spiced dried fruit juice that tastes like a campfire. It's cold but intriguing. Though I might not order it a second time, I was glad to try it and a single serving is only $5 that they split into 4 shots. The wheel of fun honestly made my night! And the berry compote carafe is definitely worth $15. We had the party platter of varenyky and substituted the red beef ones for more potato ones. But next time I really want more orange pork varenyky! They're sweet and savory and I was reluctant to share the 4 on the plate! We also had barosh (polenta balls) and the potato pancakes (super circular!), which, much like my previous review, were a hit! The mushroom sauce that comes with both is just soooo good. I love mushrooms, know why? Cause I'm a FUN guy. Circular foods, circular drinks, all come full circle. And I will come again, the next special occasion I have. Quite a delight on a Friday night! And surprisingly they were not too busy and the twinkle lights and the Christmas tree outside really made it feel cozy and special.

We went before the dinner rush on a Saturday. There's a small parking lot in the back but that was full so we parked on the street. We were immediately seated and drink orders were taken as well as soup (which is included). Drinks are added separately and not inclusive of the $34 per person. I had the borscht and that was tasty and comforting. My brother in law didn't waste any time and he immediately got his first plate going. My sister and I took our time to enjoy the soup. I then started with the appetizers and tried the different salads. It was cool to see they had aspic since that's not something you see often either. When I eventually made my way to the warm food, I was overwhelmed by all the choices. I tried to take one of everything but even then it was too much so I didn't get to try it all. The meats that I did try were super tender and juicy. They definitely know what they're doing with the meats! The dessert area had so many different options. There was cake, flan and cheesecakes. So many to choose from! I think I just love Polish food in general because of the comfort food aspect. The proteins are usually simmered in gravy and you get to pair it with potatoes cooked in all sort of ways! My sister was adventurous and just started putting random stuff on her plate that I've never seen before. She found the meat spread and that was surprisingly good too. If you're ever in the area, try to go before the dinner rush. It's a great space and is deserving of the title "Largest Polish buffet in Chicagoland".

Lunch and dinner prices appear to be the same (over $30) for adults but even though the waitress asked how old our kids were, she charged us less, so win on that! Husband liked the carved meats and kids loved the dumplings and all the mini desserts and fruit. I had a bit of dumpling and some sausage and rice, but was getting over a headache, so this was not a gorging meal for me. Very nice waitress and we didn't feel rushed or crowded even though they were busy.
