There were several employees on the sales floor who offered assistance but did not pressure sell. I'm obsessed with the show on HGTV called fixer-upper where they do a lot of the rustic farmhouse style. This guy at roadside antiques totally gets it! He turns old antiques into those beautiful statement pieces! People, you need to check this store out! He has dressers, chairs, kitchen islands, big window panes that you can put pictures in and hang on the wall, etc.! If you want a piece of furniture restored he can do it. If you need a custom table or something to fit in your home he can do it. He loves projects! And the best part is, he is so fair on pricing. I actually told him he needs to raise his prices.

He specializes in furniture restoration and furniture making. The best things I found in the shop weren't right on top--like when you go antiquing in Montrose, they were hidden beneath other items. The prices are reasonable and if there is something that you like, but it needs fixing, he can do it. This has become one of my new favorite antique stops in Alvin.
