Unlike other stores with "dollar" in the name, Dollar Tree is a true dollar store. Everything is a…read morebuck, or less! My top item to buy at Dollar Tree is greeting cards. Most are, well, a dollar, but many are two for a dollar. All my relatives know I buy my cards here. I don't care. Theses things usually just get thrown away anyways. I usually can't get out without buying some candy either, making it a great stop before a movie. On this visit I needed some tape. 3/4" wide tape, for a dispenser of mine. Found it. 6 rolls for a buck, score! By the way, this location used to be a Dollar General! Funny. Bottom Line: Haven't been to a Dollar Tree? Check it out, you might be surprised.

If you haven't been in the past few years, B&N started a loyalty program in 2023 to make its prices more competitive. For free, you can earn "stamps" that result in discounts (currently $5 off for every 10 stamps earned), and for a reasonable yearly fee you can upgrade to be a Premium member and earn 10% off everything every day. As an avid reader with a family of readers, it is totally worth it, and (do the math!) usually cheaper than competitors (*always* cheaper when I'm reading more obscure stuff). If you enjoy earning free stamps, it is worth signing up for the B&N newsletter to keep an eye out for double/triple points days. They always have deals on bestsellers and daily BOGO 50% tables, so you have a new selection of deals to hunt through each time you visit.
