In terms of stock for things other than comics, they have a selection that I see as mediocre at best at times, though this is likely due to supply and demand, especially now considering everything going on. Necessary D&D minis were sometimes hard to come across even before this. Overall, the Multiverse is a great place to stop in my experience. They have been independently and family-owned for over 40 years, and they are a must-stop for all book and music lovers out there. This store is HUGE with over half-a-million books, movies, music and memorabilia. However, I think what makes them extra special is the curated selection of Horror and Thriller books, including some very unique collectibles. I am more into contemporary, so keep in mind those books are located on the top floor of their second building. Their children's book section was also incredible but frankly I didn't have the patience to go through them. As someone who knew barely anything at all, I was a bit overwhelmed and lost while looking through their selection (which is very well presented and organized). Nick, an employee there, was so helpful in assisting me as I looked for certain titles, explaining how comic cycles work, and how their store operates. They even checked their back stock to see if they had certain issues I was seeking! My fav comic shop I have ever attempted to look through. I even signed up for their really cool subscription plan! TERRIBLE SERVICE - Won't Be Back…read more FIRST - I walked in and the person behind the counter just stared at me. No "Hi," no "Hello," no "How can I help you"... NOTHING. I had to introduce myself and explain I was there to inquire about selling some Pokémon cards. He then told me they only buy in bulk. Fine - I actually came in with a huge collection plus a rare Dragonite V Alternate Art 192/203 (Evolving Skies Full Art Alt Art). SECOND - I asked if he wanted to at least look at the rare card. He declined without hesitation, then added that shops "only pay 20%-30% of the value." That is completely FALSE. THIRD - After all of this, I said "okay" and wrapped it up. But was I thanked for coming in? Was I told "have a good day" or even a simple "bye"? Nope. Just another blank stare. This shop clearly does not value its customers or show even the bare minimum of courtesy. Even if they don't want to purchase something, the least they could do is provide basic customer service. Instead, I walked away feeling disrespected and dismissed. Absolutely awful experience.

It's a fun trip down memory lane, though it doesn't fully capture the magic of the original stores from the 80s and 90s. The store is now franchised rather than corporately owned, which changes the feel a bit. Prices are on the higher side, and while there are some interesting and unique items, there weren't many Toys"R"Us exclusives beyond a Geoffrey the Giraffe pop. Still, the store is clean, organized, and has plenty to explore, whether you're a collector, a parent, or just a kid at heart. A nostalgic stop, but not quite the full experience of the original Toys"R"Us. The guy at the front door was really nice.
