This is a great place for Books, and a quick birthday present, you can also find household items for an awesome price. They seem to just about everything you could want and/or need! I went to ollies specifically to buy a roll of carpet (12ft long). It was an ordeal; which at no time any of the employees assisted me in getting it up to register, out the door, or load in truck. I dealt with all four of the cashiers....only one was 1/2 way pleasant (samantha) but she would not tell me the name of the lady making decisions with a bad attitude to boot. The carpet was normally 127 and some change but had orange discount sticker for 50% off; made it 63 and change. She was determined to prove she was right when she was wrong. Her demeanor and voice was aggressive. She said "just give it to her"; she didnt give me anything. That was the price for a couple rolls of carpet back there...i dont know anything about a "sku"; i just know there was 0 customer service afforded to me. I dont steal, i dont swap tags/stickers, i am 50+ years old and no one helped me...if i could give 0 stars or negative star thats what they earned collectively.... read more

I enjoy Ollies. Great place to buy books of all kinds but also a cool place to look around for bargains. We get coffee there regularly because it's such a good price. I also get 99%of my dog toys there. Always something you can use at cheap pry. As Ollie says "Good Stuff Cheap!!" read more

Honestly, I do not like stores like these. I hate digging around and boxes of stuff. With that said, it's a great Bargain Outlet. Today, the entire store was 15% off. I stopped here on a whim and I'm glad that I did! I was pleasantly surprised at the extremely large book section. All categories and great prices! This is a book lovers dream! Everything else was a typical bargain type place. I bought a nice set of Queen sheets for $12 and a 100 foot hose for $15.99. I thought these were pretty great deals! I encountered three employees and 2 were very friendly. The bathrooms weren't awful but needed attention. This took their 5th star away! read more

Ollie's can be a bit overwhelming if having a hodgepodge of items scattered everywhere with no organization frightens you. This is kind've a version of Big Lots with bargains and deals to be found. The book selection they have here is fantastic. Everything from children's books, fiction, cookbooks, etc. Make sure you do shop around, not all items are great deals, some can be found at your local Walmart or other chain retailers. As far as food items go, be sure and check the expiration date some items may be expired. Overall, Ollie's can be a scavenger hunt. When you find a deal take it and grab it. I'll continue to come as long as the book deals remain great! read more

Ollie, Ollie, Oxen Free!!! Hmmph, apparently there are no free oxen here, I was sorely disappointed. However, they do have quite a bit of other stuff from books to Christmas decorations or furniture or toys. Just a bunch of odds and ends that does play a bit like hide-and-seek if you're looking for great buys. Apparently, Ollie (who looks like Albert Einstein) is the master of the overstock buyout, picking up everything that couldn't sell at the standard big box retail store, and attempting to pass it off as a great deal here. That's a yes and no as far as the deals go. Sometimes you do find something that is a great markdown, but most of the items are off-brands and I can't always say that the prices are necessarily that much better than you would get at say Big Lots or even Walmart. Maybe a bit, but not always. I recommend doing a few price comparisons as you shop because the bargain may not be as awesome as you believe. However, at times you do find an item or two worthy of the purchase, so it's not necessarily a loss stopping in for a visit, I recommend checking out their website flyer before visiting to see if there is anything you're willing to take a trip for. Whoah... don't let this place fool you... they sell a lot of merchandise from Wal-Mart that is currently in stock on the original seller's shelves. I went in there on Monday with my Wal-Mart iPhone app and scanned a lot of merchandise that was the mainstays (Wal-Mart housewares brand) and they are selling the merchandise for more than Wal-Mart. I was looking for a coffee pot and they were selling REFURBISHED coffee pots for more than what Amazon or Wal-Mart online was selling them for NEW They did have some good prices on black and decker appliances though. Their Magnavox heaters are selling for more than the list price on amazon and Wal-Mart as well. Buyer beware... this place has good stuff... but it's NOT Cheap. read more

i went to this one and the one on preston...neither one has things the other has, so i would go to both if i were you. i asked the manager about a train that was at the other store and wondered if he had the same thing cause i didnt want to go back to preston, and he told me that he did but didnt know if he could get to them because their truck had came and he hadnt put things out yet...that sweet man went in the back and went through boxes and found it for me. i really like Ollies...some things are priced the same as at other stores but alot of it is much cheaper. they get new things in all the time. i will be going to ollies alot for all sorts of items!! i would suggest going when you have a few hours to spend just looking at everything they have. read more

Ollie's is what Big lots started out to be before they became a China import store, or a step above Dollar Tree. Ollie's items are closeout merchandise that importers and discounters didn't sell, had too much of, or changed merchandising before the product ran out. I absolutely love Ollie's, but don't live near one and have to travel. So I don't go as often. I have gotten party supplies (great prices), wonderful rugs, leather rug for 7.99 - an incredible steal, 30 x 48. Great housewares, terra cotta pots. Sure Wal-mart has a standard pot cheaper, but these are designer pots, and look better than Wal-Mart. Sometimes I buy more than others, but I never walk out empty-handed. read more
