Impressed with the vast amount of records accross all music genres. I love the most of them especially from the sixities to the ninety's. Got a jazz album, a lot of soul music, some pop. I sold off my large music collection in 1991 to move from Atlanta to Louisville. The owner said he has been open since 1978. I will definitely be back to get more music. In the mean time I need to figure out how to change the needle to get better sound. Great records, vast selection, great prices, is music to my ears!

The gentlemen working there, which was the owner I believe, was really knowledgeable and gave me a few bucks off, which is always a huge plus, lol. A few years ago, I was gifted a turntable, and I've been slowly recollecting some vinyl since then. The store sits on a busy corner, it's street parking only. It's a well organized and inviting space with displays of books records and other goodies. It's hard to describe, but it's awfully cool. Some interesting vintage items for decor. I think there are three rooms total. It's easy to find a section of whatever you are looking for or just browse because it is so well organized as far as the records go. They have an interesting collection of vintage books that you just don't see anywhere. It was getting close to closing time and the proprietor let me know that in a polite way that didn't feel that he was rushing me. He greeted me when I got there by the way he was friendly without being pushy. I purchased three vinyls and they were in excellent shape and well worth the money. I'm sure I will return.

The staff in the front of the coffee shop is there to assist you when needed. For example, I wore a KISS shirt into P&TY and upon placing my drink order was told the number of KISS records they had in the back, and asked to please let him know if I needed anything at all. We went in after an early lunch at nearby Twig and Leaf. There is private and street parking, we were able to park in the parking lot beings it wasn't very busy. Going in, it is actually mostly a smoke shop with old used records as well as some other things in there. We did browse around for a bit but, left empty handed beings somethings were overpriced. Did like the smell of the incense burning inside the place. Although this is a neat little store, it's not a place we'd venture to very often.

I was in line about 3 hours early for the event not expecting anything special, but Carmichaels booksellers SPOILED the line. They brought out umbrellas to block to hot sun for us sweating, had cold water bottles for everyone, and even brought a tray on chips and two options of queso/dip for us. This was all before I even got to experience the inside of the store. The team treated me life family-even better. The books selection is beautiful and they even have stickers, and more than you can imagine adding to your shopping bag such as custom match boxes and custom candles plus more! I could browse all day. The team helped my find books, gave personalized recommendations, and even helped me pick a souvenir, and were so comforting and welcoming while they helped.
