The food was nice. We tried the pizza, hummus, and the Mediterranean sampler. The hummus wasn't the best in Mobile but it was good. The bread wasn't quite pita, but more like a soft beignet without the sugar. It was good. The pizza had a garlic butter sauce instead of red sauce and I liked it. The hooka didn't bother us. There was a table nearby with one but I couldn't smell it. The music choice was far weirder. It was late 90s rap, like Gangsters Paradise and Eminem. Very odd for a Mediterranean vibe. The service was sad. Our drinks never was refilled. Our table was never bussed. All the dirty plates, including our appetizer plates, stayed on the table until we left. This place has dissapointed us a few times now. Our last 4 visits, no lamb, how can you be a Mediterranean restaurant and not have lamb for multiple visits. This was one of our favorite places but the quality and selection has declined and the prices are outrageous. Service was mediocre too. Not sure where to start, we had spaghetti which was $15 on the menu. It was served with what looked like canned tomato sauce and meatballs were $6 up-charge, making it $21 for spaghetti, really?? The shawarma plate tasted okay, but not at nearly $25, come on. I could see $15 maybe but it definitely wasn't worth the price. Their are other Mediterranean eateries in Mobile that have much better food at better prices. Get pasta and want to add a chicken breast, how about $7. Our once a month date night. I was looking forward to giving this restaurant a try. Especially disappointed in the service. Took forever to seat us! She first forgot one of our drinks. Then when the food came we didn't have silverware, once eating the chicken it was dry! Finally brought the missing drink and while I'm choking on the dry chicken I was thirsty waiting for a refill myself in which it didn't arrive until we were ready to leave. So, here goes 1st up: Prices are way more and portions are way smaller. $28 for a chicken shawarma plate with no Garlic dip? It used to be like $16 and there was this amazing Garlic dip that accompanied it. Who knows what was in it! Like a Greek Skordalia but somehow creamier that any I've ever had. Gone! (My daughter says it's on the menu so maybe they forgot it?) 2nd strike: A large hummus is about a cup of hummus. (See my pic) Teensy portion for $11? Nope! and it's not as garlicky as it used to be. Absolute 3rd deal breaker: no more cream of chicken soup on Sundays. This was the most delectable substance of which I have ever been privileged to partake. Gone! The waiter said they occasionally make it but not on a regular day of the week. He had no idea when they might make it again. I will admit the chicken tasted good, but it was basically a grilled chicken breast (and not a large one- see pics) with Greekish spices on it. Take my advice and skip it. Drive just a few miles up to Airport Blvd, take a right and go to 7 spice. It's in the back of a grocery store and they give you huge portions of chicken shawarma and garlic dip and the basmati rice is so amazing! Or, if your heart isn't set on Mediterranean food, go a couple doors down to Nino's and get one of their amazing cheesesteaks. Much more affordable and extremely tasty! read more

Horrible experience! Walked in an hour before close (52 min actually) and was met with a horrible attitude, refused to be seated because " the kitchen is closing in 20 minutes". I used to work for Ollies Mediterranean as a Host up until end of June. I've have been reading reviews since I left and I do agree that things have changed drastically. Reasons why I left was because I was one of the ppl on the front line getting complained and cussed out. Management could care less about servers. Chef Chris always had comments and snarly looks. Management always talked shit about us then turn around and try to implement rules about us talkin shit on eachother. I have copies of previous menus still and it's ridiculous how much its increased. Management is greedy & money hungry. They abuse and overwork their staff. A few servers are the OG and not sure if theres new ones. Gratuity went from 15% for a 6+ party to a 20% for a 5+ party. The average is 5 people. Management said it was because it was to help servers make more money. Another thing is, Chef Chris. The almighty Chef that everyone loves and adores(jk everyone hates him). Runs his kitchen like a boot camp. AC is broken, they're working in 100+ degree kitchen with NO breaks. While he just sits and eats food. Only if you knew what shortcuts was used in there? My god. Meat and various things are prepared on the SAME surface directly next to the dish pit. Sometimes it would sit there for hours and have dishes next to it. Was told it would take 30 mins, which is when I got there. Long & short I had to wait another 35 mins for 2 hamburgers. Got home and they were cold- so obviously had been sitting there for a while. Today I asked for yogurt sauce and I was charged $3.00 for it for dipping my sandwich. I thought it came with it really. We live in Mobile Al. And eat Only Halal. So there are only few options we have. We appreciate that Ollies have Halal options, which is the ONLY reason why we keep coming back. The food is never consistent. The server this time was great. But we always have issues with our servers there. I gave them more than 10 chances before I gave a two star review. If you want a nice experience please go somewhere else. But if you only want the Hookah and the drinks go ahead it's nice for that. We always order from Ollies and tonight was the worst experience we have ever had. Both of the sandwiches had over cooked meat and the toppings that are normally on top were wilted and cooked with the meat. It was always fresh and put on top last. The sandwich looked smaller than usual and barely any fries. The prices have gone up and have not been changed online and the quality and size of food has decreased. The hummus was very bland no taste at all and the rice had no seasoning at all and looked yellow not like the original rice that is white with tasty seasoning. It appears that the entire staff was changed including the cooks. The bartenders were very nice and helpful plus doing more than one task. I don't think we will be back. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I literally made an account to complain about this dump it was so frustrating. I went with my girlfriend in the pouring rain when it was not busy at all. There were maybe 3 occupied tables, and yet the table the receptionist sat us at was dirty and had to be cleaned. My girlfriend went to the restroom and there was a cockroach in a corner on the way to the bathroom. We ordered the hummus and it was $11 for 5 slices of peta bread and what tasted like ALDIs store brand humus. We also ordered the combination shawarma and it was $23!!! The whole dish could fit into a shot glass. The chicken had a yogurt sauce on it that was disgusting and tasted like expired Oikos greek yogurt. It came with two slices of peta the chicken itself was bland the vegetables and rice were good and the beef was delicious but there was maybe 4 oz of meat on the whole thing it came also came with about 5 slices of raw thick cut tomato and onion and the tomato was flavorless even with salt and pepper. They also charge an extra 4% for using a card. We didn't even get a drink and it was $40 after tip for one entree and one appetizer. I used to come here all the time a few years ago, and had no idea Ollie's changed ownership. At prices like this I could have gone just about anywhere else and been happier. Theyre really out here charging downtown eatery prices for glorified prepackaged trash. Don't waste your time and money with this garbage. read more

We went in for dinner. The food was lukewarm and we had it sent back, to warm up. By the end of dinner, before we could ask for the ticket, there was a huge ROACH crawling on the booth divider. It actually fell in our booth. When I brought it to the manager's attention, she removed an appetizer from ONE of the tickets. I would never make a scene or object to her proposal to fix the issue. But I definitely think that for a roach to have joined us for the end of our meal, something else should have been compensated...for customer service's sake. read more
