Surprised by the low ratings. We have been coming here for 3 years and have never had a bad meal. This is a great, rustic, laid-back, and reasonably priced restaurant/bar. Service is good and friendly. Most recently we went there for Drunk-O-Shrimpo our favorite. Great price, fresh and good amount of large fresh shrimp, a tangy/spicy sauce with rolls for dipping. Also had the pork nachos which were large and good. So large we took home leftovers. Their daily specials are good deals and fun like Taco Tuesdays and Wings & Wine Wednesdays. Also, they have the cutest bird, Ollie, who is often around and loves to be fed. Always enjoy it here and will be back soon! read more

Typical beach bar (on the canal). Indoor and outdoor seating. DOG FRIENDLY! Large menu. Extra parking on the road next to the joint. Important to know because the lot along Clark Street is always packed. The servers are friendly and attentive. The French oysters were excellent. They have a large menu. Today they had 75 cent wing specials. They do have TVs to watch sports games. I don't know if they have the NFL football package. I'll be back. read more

The oysters were very good and on special Thursday $16 or $20 a dozen. Also the baked scallops were delicious! The shrimp scampi flatbread was okay, but wasn't a flat bread, it was a small pizza crust. The draft beers also were on special and the blueberry and mango were very good. Came to this place last Sunday...mid-day and it was busy!! But that didn't slow service a bit. One of the bartenders (who was already off shift) asked to grab us a beer while we were waiting. Nice start!! Other bartender was by just a minute later to take our order. Food was out to us fast! We had the peel and eat shrimps (huge, fresh and delish) as well as the chicken nachos. Ample helpings of both, and we were def full!! Live music on the outside patio. Great seating out there as well as along the waterway on the side of the building! Let me start by saying the service at Ollie's in Hudson was severely lacking. We waited 20 minutes just to place a drink order, and the place wasn't even busy. When the drinks finally came, we ordered lunch--10 wings (the daily special) and a tuna poke bowl. Then we waited another 45 minutes for the food. I get that delays happen, and I don't blame the waitress for the kitchen being slow. But she could've at least kept us in the loop. No updates, no check-ins. We were just left sitting there. The lack of communication made an already long wait even more frustrating. Disappointing experience overall. I won't be back. read more

I'd like to say first off, the poor server we had today (young blonde), was extremely overwhelmed and was trying her best, and she was getting slammed by so many tables and there was just 1 other server there during a busy night. I felt so sorry for her being yanked around by so many people beginning to get angry with her for taking so long. I wish I had more to give than I did, but unfortunately I didn't. I tipped her 30% and thanked her for all she's doing, but I know I didn't make a difference. The food was outstanding. I got Mahi Mahi tacos, and lobster queso as our appetizer. The queso was the perfect thickness, although it could've used a little more lobster which tasted like imitation crab. It is what it is, but I as really good nonetheless. I only got my drinks refilled once, but like I said, the girl was overwhelmed, so I'm not going to complain too much about that. Ollie's isn't beautiful and spotless, but it's delicious and welcoming. This has been my go to spot almost every weekend since I move down to Florida in 2016. Not sure when they reopened but since then we've been almost every weekend or every week or at least several times a month. Their food is always consistent and their staff is always very nice and recognize us as soon as we come in the door. Love that they have daily specials and something for everyone. read more

Great dive spot on the water with excellent fresh seafood! April was very attentive and friendly! We always stop here when we visit our friends in New Port Richey. The Grouper was yummy, the Mussels and Clams were delish! Our friends had the Mahi Salad and the Tacos, which they liked. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area. Steamed shrimp (several flavors, all are equally delicious) chic ceasar salad (loaded with chicken) prices are reasonable. Sells beer by the pitcher but wine lovers are out of luck. A restaurant pour is all you get, not what you want while friends are sharing their pitcher of beer (Your wine tab can add up.) All wait staff are effective and friendly. Not worth the money - Not even the Specials ... Went there recently, food was small quantities (appetizer size now) - not enough to fill the stomache. And, the food has NO Taste - tasted like WOOD. My family - 3 of us. I ordered a special meal , but it was just a few mouth fulls, no sides to help the meal, had no taste, We ordered Soup - looked and tasted like a TV dinner. We also ordered a slider : "oh you want fries - thats additional" - the only side we got in the family entire meal. -- All of us were Still hungry - Not enough Food for Any of my family. Even my child with the Slider and Additionally Paid for side fries (10 fries ?) was still Hungry ! We did Not want to WAIT another HOUR for additional Meals to fill us up ... So we just Left to finish eating somewhere else ... The staff did Not Care ... We got there with 4 other family tables waiting. We ALL Tables were still WAITING for our food 1 HOUR LATER ! Their Excuse: they were serving a Party. -- What they did Not tell anybody , is that the Party was Not there ! - it was just a Pickup ! Usually, we have had a really great time ay Ollies, even after the new waitress spilled a whole beer on my new outfit, but this late afternoon on Saturday the 4th of May the staff choose to speak ill of their coworkers in front of customers, it was uncomfortable, I asked for management. none was available. the person that spoke with us was part of the three employees that were bad mouthing their coworkers, Ollies has improved their menu recently., its great, kudos to the chef. We had a great late lunch today - excellent service and food. We tried the Buffalo. Shrimp, Mahi Fish Dip, and Grouper Strips. The broiled Scallops and Mahi with Mango Salsa dinner special were amazing. This is definitely no frills seafood- but a great little local place and a dolphin made a cameo in the canal just before we left. We will go back if we're in the area. read more

What ever happened to the customer service or customer appreciation, or even simply just doing what's right. I'm a frequent customer and neighbor of Ollies on the Beach! Husband and I stopped by today for a drink and some oysters! We eat raw oysters a lot, here and at many other places! These oysters did not taste right, texture was chalky and the flavor off! We asked to send them back! We were refused a refund and made to still pay for them as "it's the same company we alway use" when our bartender told us when sending back that they have a new company providing the oysters! I guess a $16 meal is worth losing a regular customer that spends a lot of money there drinking and eating ! WE WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THAT PLACE AGAIN! Great spot! I love the open air feel! Service is always fast and friendly, ambiance is lively! They usually have some type of live music, karaoke, music trivia or something entertaining going on. Only yelp review I've ever made. This is not some scorned angry review I never complain about anything and I paid for every item I ordered and never once expected to do anything less. I ordered 60$ worth of food and only ate the French fries. (Had to stop at Burger King on the way home) They are advertised as a "oyster bar" 3 of the 6 oyster ls had shells in them and the drinks were hardly room temperature. The ahi tuna taco was very bad I ate one small bite and threw them away. The grouper was completely unseasoned and tasteless the chips and salsa were sub par at best everything came out more or less room temp and nowhere near inability timely manner, half of my party watched the other half of us be utterly disappointed while they sat hungry. Then well after half our party of 6 was finished eating the other half of our food arrived cold and just as disappointing as the first truly wish I could leave less stars. We have been to Ollie's many times over the last few years and have always been satisfied, so we had no problem with the seven of us having lunch there Wednesday, 4/5/23. Sadly, this day was not a good day for us at Ollie's. The food was lousy, service was poor. Over all a bad experience for all of us and especially our out of state family. Very disappointing. Just got back from a "Wing Wednesday". This probably my 5th or 6th I've been to Ollie's for this promo. Sat inside and it was hot. Little air flow...several broken ceiling fans. Two of the sauces on the menu requested were "no longer available". All could've been over looked if we had similar food to previous visits. By far, these were the smallest wings I've SEEN in my life and I'm in my late 50s...and I love wings. I think the birds in my front yard had bigger wings. We had to go to another local restaurant to order more food. Sadly, probably our last visit to Ollie's ...and so you know....these were the LARGEST wings in my order. First time visit at this establishment with my wife and another couple. Got there before the evening crowd, with several available tables. We self seated immediately. The waitress was friendly yet seemed inexperienced. We placed an appetizer order with drinks. No problem. We then placed our food order. After about 30 minutes, my wife's order came out first. Scallops and a salad. The salad dressing was not with the salad. Not realized before the waitress left, it took another 10 minutes to get her to return, and another 10 to get the dressing. Still, no one else had received their food. The other gentleman in our party finally got his shrimp tacos. We said go ahead and eat. After he finished his tacos, and she finished her salad, I received my order of 1 dozen raw oysters. The other lady in our group ordered a chicken burrito with no jalapeños. After another 15 minutes, and everyone else was finished eating, hers came out. However, it was a BEEF burrito WITH jalapeños. The waitress had walked away before it was realized the order was wrong. She came back about 10 minutes later and was told of the mistake and took it back to the kitchen. Frustrated, the lady in our party decided she wasn't going to eat anything. I went back to the waitress station by the kitchen where the waitress was entering orders into a computer and told her to remove the burrito and to bring our check. $95.00 + later, and one of us 4 didn't get their dinner, watching while the other three of us ate in shifts, it wasn't a pleasant experience at all. The kitchen had plenty of help in it as well. The waitress said it was due to computer problems. Well, no Management` person came out to apologize nor offer anything. At that point, an apology would have been better than nothing at all. Perhaps this is a reason they weren't busy and all of the other places on US19 were packed and this place wasn't. The food was okay, but not worth the price nor the mistakes and an overall 2 HOUR ORDEAL ending with frustration, and a person that never did receive their food. Very sad. A total reflection on very bad Management. I won't be back and would advise anyone that goes, to plan on being there twice as long as they are planning.
