Mike is no BS, either. He will provide nothing but the facts and keep the conversation 100% transparent. I learned Mike is also not the guy who's trying to make a sale. He is not a sleazy car salesman. Mike is a good friend. He is the guy that is eager to build a relationship based on trust and honesty. He wants you always to feel welcomed, safe, and confident to return to him for help and assistance with your Stone needs. When you stop at Ollin Stone, come prepared. Bring pictures of the area you want Stone for and measurements, and be sure to express any ideas and ask all questions you have in mind. Jerked us around for weeks on a restocking fee only to offer zero help. Not impressed.

Gave us the wrong slabs and said that it was our fault. We were out in their yard and had the slabs picked out and wrong slabs were given. Told us that slabs were given what was on the invoice. So maybe my fault didn't check the numbers but we were told for sure they will write it down and get it right since the slabs were pulled out. Just check your invoices and make sure if you were buying from them. Don't trust their judgement. Trust yours and write everything down. Got an ugly slab instead of the one I picked out. Had two very strange experiences at this company in the last two weeks: First we stopped in as we need oversized slabs for a kitchen remodel and our designer suggested we stop here. A seasoned sales guy started walking us through the yard, another couple came in and he chatted with them for a second (or so we thought) AND THEN HE WALKED AWAY WITH THEM, NOT SAYING A WORD TO US! We left 10 minutes later. So after looking at two different slab companies in Anaheim, we stopped back about a week later, thinking this might have been an atypical experience. Two guys started to help us, said "oversized slabs at your dimension don't exist" (which we now know they do) and both walked away from us. Very weird. We are a couple who are paying cash for the remodel, drive a nice car, were dressed business casually, and we still can't figure out why we were blown off like we had just crawled out of the sewer. Where do I begin? I will just jump to the point. We went to Ollin, met with Bryan - chose our slabs - Bryan said he would tag them and get them ready. We chose all the same material for our main house kitchen counters, our guest house kitchen counters, and our office. We have just finished installing them and they are ALL DIFFERENT. I mean not the samples we looked at, not what were supposed to be tagged. Completely different color, pattern, etc... not only are the different from what we chose, but they are different from each other! This has been our 5th remodel and we have never had an experience like this. Another note worth mentioning... my husband went to Ollin during this process about delivery, etc... had some questions - Bryan came out to meet him (after not returning calls) and referred to him as "Mr. Problem". My husband is very professional, and refrained from confronting him about it. I was blown away. The fact that this guy in his little zip up sweater had the audacity to address a customer this way was crazy. I would recommend steering clear of this place unless you want to have to supervise the entire process from pick up to delivery to make sure they don't dupe you on the material. No ones wants to deal with that. FYI: Read their other reviews - most mention "different than the samples". We should have looked at yelp before going there. The showroom was small, and not a lot of choices. They did not have what we were looking for. However, I can't hold that against them. Whatever they did had, was absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, when we walked in, no one approached us. We walked around the whole area, there were a few people there, and I believe they were helping other customers. BUT, if it was my store, or if I worked there, I would at least say hello and tell them I would be with them shortly. So that way, the customer won't feel neglected or ignored. read more

I just called Ollin to speak with a manager and was told that they don't have one, so I guess i need to post my feedback here. This is a horribly run business and I say this as a business owner who engages with clients all day long. As soon as i walked in this showroom, the staff seemed cold and aloof. Not welcoming at all. I spoke with someone called Brandon on the phone and requested to speak with him upon my arrival. He seemed uninterested and disengaged. After viewing a few slabs, I told him i wasn't in the market for 5-10k slabs - that's when I felt he didn't want to help us anymore. I did see two slabs that worked for another room that he showed us, that could have worked for our project and asked him to write up an estimate. Apparently, his computer was down that afternoon and was told he would send the estimate shortly. It's now the next day, still no estimate or phone call, or any other kind of follow up. I went next door...found a great guy, customer service oriented and his slabs were half the price. Buyer be warned, don't go to this showroom. They don't deserve customers. Went here to pick slabs for our center island. The guy who helped us, Esau, was super attentive and helpful. He let us know the pluses and negatives of each stone. He never rushed us and helped us pick a beautiful slab. We had been to Arizona tile before and they had stones of poor quality and the staff wasn't quite as helpful. This place is an awesome place that distinguishes itself from the "Tile Mile" by having top quality material. They have hard to find natural stone products: tiles countertops etc. If you can't find that high quality natural stone on State College, go to Ollin and ask for Maggie. She is very sharp. Besides great customer service they have a huge slab yard in the back, they work with you and offer better service than the dozens of tile stores on State College. This place will be my first option when looking for natural stone tiles or countertops. Keep it up! read more

I cannot recommend Brandon Aragon at Ollin Stone enough! I came in as a someone who did not know anything about countertops but knew I loved anything marble. Brandon not only showed me marble choices, he also helped me dial in specifics such as types, colors, finishes, costs, fabrication processes, etc. Furthermore he helped me understand other available options from man made slabs, the pros/cons, processes and costs. I left feeling confident and empowered in what can often be a paralysis environment due to so many options, sellers, etc. There was ZERO pressure and I also very much appreciated this! The staff here was very friendly and I ended up being assisted by Maggie. Purchased 3 pallets from Ollin stone. From the 4 samples that were shown to us we decided to purchase them for our home remodel. Once the installers laid down about 10 -12 pieces, we said stop! The 18x18 travertine was totally off and totally inconsistent with the samples that were shown to us. We know it's natural, but there was so much movement and discoloration! Returned the product and of course they charge a 25% restocking in addition the cost to deliver and send it back. Also, if I didn't call them back who know when we would've received a refund check. Which took almost a month! Plus email and call backs. Lame company , lame products and lame personnel! Go elsewhere, this is a warning for future customers. Big zero! Btw, same thing happened at Marble X, but the difference was that they refunded the full amount! read more

We had major issues dealing with this company. Like others stated they do NOT stand by their word on their products. Their stone had cracks and their tiles were not high quality as they stated. They will only show you the good materials before you order and then when they deliver they give you some crap. Even the tiles were not even correct sizes and too big or too small than what was sold. We had to eat thousands of dollars on crap when we spent over 35k on the job. And we even gave them more business and when we asked to SELECT material to make sure it was good quality, they stated they would not allow that. We paid for high quality material and were amazed they would not work with us. And we wanted to "EXCHANGE" for equal, they basically made us pay for a restocking even for materials that were not picked and sub par quality. STAY AWAY. There are better companies on State College that can take care of their customers. read more

Maggie had the most excellent customer service! She retuned my call with answers promptly when I was in the research phase. Then we went there for the Neolith countertops. She helped us calculate the sqft needed for all countertops (kitchen and 3 bathroom vanities). The pricing didn't work out. However, we happened to see their beautiful Solto White marble tiles and bought them. Since we weren't planning to buy tiles that day, we drove a sedan with a small trunk and didn't have any packing materials. Maggie and the warehouse worker loaded each marble tile carefully and provided foam to ensure the tiles didn't move on our 1.5-hour drive home. All tiles arrived home fine as a result. Maggie was responsive, courteous, and followed-up. The warehouse worker was very accommodating and patient. Have your contractor on stand-by, so that Ollin can speak to him/her and verify license number in order to give you the contractor pricing. We were able to get a good deal. 2 weeks later, we decided to purchase more tiles for another bathroom. Went back there and got the same amazing service. One down side - Cash or check only. I've driven by this place several times but didn't realize how amazing it is inside. My wife and I needed a larger sized slab and Olinn had the most options out of all the yards we visited. Our sales rep was Esau who was super nice and extremely patient. He was honest as well as very knowledgeable with all our questions regarding the pros and cons of each type of stone. Definitely check this place out but they are wholesale so I'm not entirely sure if they sell to the general public. You may need your contractor or your fabricator to get prices. read more

Oliin has a huge selection of granite slabs from all over the World. If you can't find what you want here, you probably won't find it anywhere. We bought three slabs of Giallo Burgundy from Ollin through our fabricator. I've posted a picture. The sales people were very patient and willing to answer our questions. He actually is professional enough to find out what type of build you have - style, quality, long term plan, then he suggests what will work - the guy is really patient - no used car type technique, no hustle at all. Just a great education when you need luxury finishes and don't want to get ripped off. I was referred to this company by my contractor (with 2 others). I chose to work with this company because the salesman seemed so friendly and helpful. I chose my granite and then the fabricator called me to warn me that I may not be happy with it. I called the salesman (Brian) and he gave me his full assurance that this granite was a quality product and was not soft in the least. We have had the fabricators out at least 3 times trying to get a decent polish and when I complained to the manager, he said he would follow up but never did. I was referred to Ollin International by my good friend and was told to make sure I work with Mike the Manager there. I made an appointment with him and he was very friendly, professional, and had a lot of knowledge about the stone products I was looking for. He spent more time with me then expected and also gave me some great design ideas for my project. I was able to get my project under budget without cutting corners and the quality / selection of materials were amazing. I am an interior designer and had a pretty simple transaction. I bought (with cash because they don't take cards) a marble field tile and a decorative tile. for some reason the field tile could no be put into a passenger car, but required a truck that could hold a palette. i found this strange because it was not that much, but no attempt to break down the palette was made. I arranged a pick up and delivery. Annoyed, but not written off. The decorative tile didn't work for my client. They allow returns with a 20% restocking fee. Because I attempted to return within 24 hours I asked if they would waive the restocking fee, which they agreed to do via email. I drove back out to OC (35 miles from the job site) to return the decorative tile. This is when things went wayward. First the email was not honored. Again, annoyed but they have rules which I was aware of and I was ok with adhering to them. They wanted to refund the money via check. I paid cash, and the receipt did not say they only refunded via check. The manager assured I would have the check within a week. It took five and a half weeks and I had to email and call multiple times before demanding that the refund be made available immediately. I finally received the check when I drove the 35 miles back to their store. Then the manager was snarky about the situation, after originally seeming to be very reasonable. So I paid hundreds of dollars for no merchandise and had to hound them for a refund, which they said was mailed and obviously wasn't. Their prices are higher than several other stone resources and their selection is limited. I will definitely choose another vendor for my future projects. read more

We have purchased from Ollin twice in the past three years. We have worked with Brian and Esau in sales and the owner Mark. Our experience has been very good. Each of these gentlemen is knowledgeable, professional and extremely helpful. As a part of an extensive remodel of our home we needed several slabs of marble. We picked out an attractive material and were prepared to buy. Rather than simply selling us the product we had selected, Mark and Brian inquired as to where it would be used. We received a bit of an education on the difference in hardness of various marbles. As it turned out we would have made a great mistake placing the stone we had picked in our kitchen and childrens' bathrooms. We were presented several better choices and are very happy with the stone we finally chose. We felt fortunate to work with people such as Brian, Esau and Mark who did not just want to sell stone but to provide us with the right materials for our needs. I have recommended Ollin to friends.
