Enjoyed our visit to this small family-owned winery! We came on a Thursday and Lianette did our tasting. Was great at telling us about the wines, their unique flavors, and also just chatted about the area. Extra stars as they also were taking COVID protocols and it felt very safe! Overall I highly recommend stopping by for a tasting and getting a bottle or two

She let us each take our own pace through the tasting, and we all shared tasting notes/favourite aspects of the wine throughout the tasting. She gave us each chocolates, as well as ice cream drizzled with muscat-infused olive oil toward the end of the tasting--much appreciated and well-paired! I especially enjoyed the '21 Sauv Blanc and the '20 Orange Muscat dessert wine! They also make olive oil soaps and bath products from their olive oil harvests. I got the Rosemary Lemon soap, and the Seaweed soap (which smells like verbena and saltwater in the best way). Highly recommend stopping here if you're in the area! Thank you Amber! :)

The closest was Chancewater and it is also open 7 days a week as opposed to most places in the area that are only open during the weekend. There is plenty of parking and you walk into a bar area that is set up for tastings. But we decided to sit in the larger tasting area that has their wines, barrels etc. They also sell seasonal vegetables at the bar which is a nice touch. They offer olive oil tasting but I didn't want to mix wine and oil so we didn't try the olive oil but I will definitely go back for that. They had many olive oil products for sale - soap, lotions etc. We were greeted by 2 hostesses who offered us a choice to sit at the bar or the tasting room and we choose the tasting room, it had a better ambience. We went on a Tuesday late afternoon, just before they closed at 5pm and we had the place to ourselves. The tasting room has room for at least 50 people without it feeling crowded. You get a choice of 7 tastings for $15 and you can pick what you would like to taste and we picked all whites. We had the 3 white and rose, 2 reserve whites (chardonnay and Sav Blanc) and 2 sweet wines. I am not a fan of Sav Blanc or sweet wines but the ones we tasted were very good. Their chardonnay was well worth the trip by itself. The hostess was friendly and knowledgeable and very engaging. I took one star off for the pours, they were very minimal but delicious. I would highly recommend the place and look forward to the olive oil tasting as well next time!

I recall on my first visit (many years ago), they were selling olive oil and tastings only. Fast forward to present day, they have expanded to include wine tastings, and selling balsamic vinegars, wines, honey, beef jerky, and nuts. All local grown from Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation land. Very cool. They also sell kitchen and giftable items; and serve food made to order and also offering prepackaged to go. The staff are always so kind and helpful. The building and brewing facility is a beautiful architectural design. Even the outside landscaping and patio area are thoughtfully designed. The views are gorgeous overlooking the adjoining almond and olive orchards, and the Valley. The kind of scenery they put in sappy Hallmark movie backdrops. So darn lucky to live within driving distance. I have not tasted wine here before. But have tasted their olive oils and vinegars. Mmm. Actually we picked up some bottles since they had a sale and marked down some bottles from the prior year varieties. My favorite flavors of SH olive oil are Arbequina (classic EVOO) and Frantoio (this one has nutty, herby flavors with slight pepperiness). It's right off Route 16 and super close to the Cache Creek casino resort which is also a Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation venture. So if you happen to be at the casino, drive less than five minute to the tasting room. Plus if you need a rest stop for a restroom, Seka Hills tasting room has real nice ones.

The ambience was very peaceful and tranquil. You could browse and shop for many charcuterie accessories, dried fruits, nuts, olive oil, flavored basalmic vinegar, wine, etc. During our olive oil tasting session, we tried samples of... Taggiasca: This elegant oil has aromas of sweet almond followed by herbaceous notes of dried thyme and fresh herbs. Frantoio: The flavor of this oil is fragrant with almond and floral notes with grassy flavors. Some bitterness, this oil has a lasting pepperiness. Lovely as a dipping and finishing oil. Arbequina Olive Oil: The flavor is a fresh herbaceous aroma, this harmonious oil has pleasant pungency with a slight bitterness. Its balanced complexity results in a long, satisfying finish. Use in baking, marinades, sauteing, roasting, as a drizzling and dipping oil and any sauce calling for EVOO. Picual Olive: the flavor is Green tomato and olive aromas, this distinct and harmonious oil is followed by nuanced flavors of fresh herbs, green tea and black pepper. Use it to enhance salads, vegetables, fish and grilled chicken and meats and drizzle over grilled peaches and pineapple. We camped during the week and naturally there were very few tasting rooms open. After driving to a few places only to realize that they were closed, we randomly picked the closest pace to where we were and called them. Charlene picked up and when I asked if they were open, she wanted to know when we were coming by, I said in 5 minutes and she asked us to come on down. I wondered why she asked about when we wanted to do the tasting but when we got there, we realized that they were not open but since they were there, they let us come by to taste. I am blown away by the friendly folks in Kelseyville. Charlene, the owner's daughter did the pouring for us, the sparkling pear wine was out of this world. Since we only wanted to taste whites, she went out of her way to pick 5 whites for us. The tasting room is small and can fit about 5-10 people but then they spill out into the warehouse and do the tasting there. This place is a big production, a family vineyard but not a 10-20 acre place. Not sure how large it is though. All the wines were great and my friend picked up a bottle of the sparkling pear. Tastings are $15 each but Charlene waived both our tasting fees when we bought the one bottle. They even went as as as calling another winery to see if they would take us even though they were also closed. I would highly recommend this winery, I would go twice!!
