Waited 40 minutes for table. Still waiting for our meal 40 minutes after ordering. Its college move in weekend, so you expect it to be busy. But i see other people getting food, and we are still waiting. Waitress has passed us several times saying be right there, and wasn't. Got to where it was uncomfortable to wave her down. Its a chain place. Huge bar, lots of TVs. Disappointed only game on TV was a football game not local to anywhere near us. Surely there's something else on? Every TV same thing. Boring. Waste of tons of TVs Food took way too long. Clearly sides were plated long before entree, because they were not half as warm. There are a lot of items on the menu. Reminds me of Cheesecake Factory menu. Not quite as extensive but certainly enough to take some time to read everything. Soups, salads, pizzas, pasta, burgers, bowls. I had a cherry glazed chipotle salmon with couscous with tomatoes and spinach and asparagus and my daughter had a personal pizza. Service= C- Appetizer never came out. Server acted like she was doing us a favor by taking it off the bill. Zero drink refills. Food took over an hour to arrive. Don't bother ordering desert, that was another 30 minutes. Food= D+ Clam chowder seemed canned and blah. Baked potatoe was overcooked and came out with no butter or toppings. Steak was dry and overcooked. Would not come back here. There are MANY more places that have better food and service around here to choose from for the same $$ or less. I try and try to give bjs a chance to redeem themselves and they always fail. A few weeks back I had the worst experience, my waiter didn't refill our waters once for three hours, 3/6 people in my group got the wrong order and it took over an hour for our food to come out. On top of that when we asked for refills she sent another lady with only one glass of water... 6 of us needed water. She then sighed and just left saying "well I don't know". I've gone twice since and still sat there for over 10 minutes to even be greeted and twice as long for my order to be taken. Been to BJ's a lot recently because of the pizookie pass we always get there later in the evening. Nice that they are open late. We get there for the late night happy hour from 9-12 "close" this gets us half off apps over $10 and other great deals. We got the California flatbread, avocado eggrolls and two pizookies since we got the passes. We tried a few of them already the smores one was really good last time but we wanted to switch it up with the strawberry shortcake one "ask for it to be covered in strawberries if you want it like the one in my picture " and the macadamia nut pizookie. Both delicious! It's nice going to BJ's later at night the atmosphere is more personal and the restaurant is much quieter than earlier in the day. Our waitress was very nice and quick to get us what we wanted. Best thing here for the late night with the pizookie passes we get everything here for only $16 total!!definitely a great deal as my brother and I eat a lot usually and we were completely full. read more

I am really surprised at the negative reviews that mention poor and slow service. I had the exact opposite experience Friday afternoon 8/15/2025. I suggest the management to check the machine washed utensils before wrapping them in cloth napkins. Cleanliness plays an important part. One thing I want to commend about BJs was the waiter we had. Although our utensils seemed to be dirty, he was quick to bring us replacements and get on to our order. We ended up getting: The clam chowder bread bowl - really good clam chowder and the cap of the bowl is transformed into garlic bread which is great to dip in the soup. But when you're left with the bowl, it's just a big chunk of bread that's kind of hard to get through. Shrimp scampi - decent but nothing really special, but came with a good amount of shrimp! Ahi salad - really tasty salad (although very vinegar forward), but the random globs of wasabi on the side weren't really part of the dish and just gave you random mouthfuls of wasabi if your salad accidentally dragged through it, so that was kind of unpleasant. Root beer glazed wings - really good wings, especially if you're a fan of sweeter flavors because these wings were really sweet Tri tip wedge - my favorite of our order. The wedge salad was really refreshing and had a decent amount of dressing. And the funky blue cheese was perfect to go along with the steak which wasn't tough and had a sweetness to it. However, this dish took a while to come out but shoutout to the waiter who was very upfront about it and ended up giving us a free dessert. The food is not consistent at all. The food being well prepared really depends on whose working that night. I ordered chicken Alfredo to go and received dry stale chicken that tasted like it had been under a warmer for 5 hours and undercooked hard noodles!! The restaurant wasn't even busy for them to serve me the poor quality food that they did. The best part about my meal was the garlic knot which they forgot and I had to ask for. I don't normally get food from here often but when I do I'm met with disappointment. I will be getting my money back and will not return here ever again!! Mind you, they just revamped the place like the food tastes ANY better. What an actual joke to consumers. Thiss is genuinely the worst bjs I have ever been to. I waited 15 minutes before the server even came to me. After that, I had to wait 1 hour and 40 minutes for our pizookies. The manager came over to talk to us and was very rude and unaccomadating. We then waited another 20 minutes for the waiter to fix the pizookies that were wrong. After that we waited another 20 minutes for the receipts. Not once did the server refill our drinks and she was not attentive at all. We also got a pizookie to go and the waiter gave us the wrong one with no cover. The to go pizookie was literally in the container... with no cover... in the bag...Overall a very bad experience. read more

Went here with a group of friends--8 of us total. While that may sound like a large party, the majority of us ordered only pizookies. Three people ordered the $13 meal deal that also included a pizookie. We were specifically told by our server that all pizookies would come out at the same time, especially since that was the main item most of our table ordered. Salads were brought out before we even received our drinks, and then we waited an hour and thirty minutes before any pizookies arrived. When they finally did, they were incorrect, causing us to wait an additional 30 minutes for them to be remade. We asked to speak with a manager, who approached our table awkwardly and proceeded to blame the issue on the server "putting the dessert in at the same time as the food," claiming the kitchen didn't know when to make them. I've worked in restaurants for over five years--hosting, bartending, and serving--so I understand that mistakes happen. However, it should not take over an hour and a half for something like this to be noticed or addressed. In addition, we never got refills on drinks or were checked on at all. Unfortunately, each time I visit this location, the experience continues to decline. I understand bad days happen, but this situation went far beyond that. read more

I came to BJs on a work trip and I sat at the bar to have dinner. Emily provided great service and was so delightful. She was always checking on me to make sure I was doing well. For my entree I had the mozzarella and tomato salad (10 out of 10) and for my entree I had the chicken breast with mash potatoes that were so tasty! I had to try the poozkie and I definitely recommend getting the minis so you can try different flavors. We had a wonderful visit at BJ'S! While very busy we sat at the bar while we waited. I had the most Wonderful drink. It was peach with these little red pearls of delight! I just cannot find the name :( We had appetizers the avocado egg rolls, which were fantastic! And the mozzarella sticks that were equally good. As our table became available we finished them there. The service was fantastic For my entree I choose the Mahi mahi which was delish and perfectly cooked grilled. Looking forward to returning in Tallahassee! read more

I was in Tallahassee for the Thanksgiving weekend and the ladies wanted to go shopping while us guys wanted to see the Black Friday game between the Miami Dolphins and the New York Jets. We decided to go to BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse while to girls were at the close by Governor's Square Shopping Mall. Our experience at BJ's was nothing short of fantastic and enjoyable. We found a nice high table in the middle of the bar in front of their biggest display. While the sounds of the game was muted throughout the game, that did not stop us from enjoying the game while sipping some beers and sampling some of BJ's appetizers. The appetizers were a highlight, starting with the awesome Brussels sprouts accompanied by a creamy sriracha sauce. The chips with guacamole and salsa were deliciously spice and the salsa had a great smoky kick to it. However, the star of the appetizer lineup was the beef sliders - perfect in every way and a generous portion of four. The service remained top-notch and the super cold beers added to the enjoyment and experience of our visit. A plus to all this, Miami won the game decisively. read more

We ordered two steaks- both medium... They came beyond well done... The personal pan pizza arrived at the table cold... We sent it back to get warmed up, which took 10 minutes... It came back to the table rubbery, like it'd been placed in the microwave... All in all, a poor experience all around... There are many restaurants in Tallahassee- we'll be trying all of the others before we return here... read more

Beer selection was absolutely wonderful, I had the Tatonka Stout and it has an amazing front end and mouthfeel. But from there everything went downhill real fast. The server was very nice and was moving around being busy with his tables. The food however was not even good. I ordered the Pizookie special and ordered the Chicken Parmesan as the meal, it came out warm and the pasta was dry appearing to be broiled as if it was either sitting under a heat lamp too long or it was being fired under the grill - not how pasta should be treated or served. After 3 forks of the pasta I gave up and left it on the plate. It was not only dry but not fully cooked - way too aldente on the firm side. If you can't twirl your pasta on a fork it's not done and a cook shouldn't put it on the plate. The chicken cutlet seemed from the taste to be a frozen pre-made portion that was microwaved and it was gummy in consistency-a tell tale sign of being microwaved. If I wanted to have microwaved food I could order one of the pre-made dinners from the commercials on TV and microwaved it at my hotel. (I would never do that!) When taking away the plate the waiter asked if I wanted a box to take the pasta home and I explained that the pasta wasn't fully cooked and it was dry. He didn't go any further and just took it away. Not exactly the response I expected or would have given to a customer as I was a waiter years ago. Normally I would have sent the meal back and opted for something else but since I was traveling I needed to be back on the road. The Pizookie was good, and very sweet, took away the frozen microwave taste left by the chicken. They were out of the one that I wanted and said they ran out-hard to believe as they were only opened for 2 hours. I would recommend the Beer. A restaurant should tell you what is and isn't frozen microwave food. Quite frankly no restaurant should be serving food like that. I would not return to this restaurant except to have a beer. read more

We've been coming to this BJs for the better part of 10 years. But something changed around October of last year. Since October we would eat at BJs at least twice a week. We don't normally complain, but my business colleague and I have received worse and worse service every time we go. First it was the constant turnover with bad waitresses. Then it was overcooked food, which we would receive discounts on, on a regular basis. Finally, the last time we ate there was last Monday. The food was ok, and my food came out on time. However they never entered my colleagues food, so he didn't get his until after I waited around 10 min after receiving my own plate and my food got cold before they realized they never submitted to order to get cooked. They comped us the desert for the wait, but then after eating desert, I look to my right and I see a roach sitting on the light fixture at the end of the booth wall in the bar area. I called over two staffers to show them, and they couldn't believe it. They grabbed rags, killed it, profusely apologized, and the manager comped the entire meal. We are never going back. We loved BJs but the horrible service, food quality, and now roaches in the bar area was the final straw that broke the camels back. The manager said she would call the proper "authorities" to handle the roach issue. I pray they did call exterminators to take care of this asap, otherwise they can get shutdown by the city/county/state. read more

My five star assessment today is 100% based upon the customer service that our table received from Tori, the server and Azra, the Manager. We had a simple order among the three of us, a hamburger, and then two of us got the all you can eat salad and soup. Unfortunately the kitchen was having a hard time today and we're not able to get it right. Tori we made calm, professional, and most helpful. Upon hearing about the challenges, the manager came to our table most apologetic and explained they would take care of it. When the broccoli cheddar soup came out my friend said it had a very peculiar sweet taste to it so she asked me to taste it. Honestly it tasted like they put caramel in it it was a very unusual very sweet taste. You could even smell the caramel in the soup. The manager again apologetic took care of our tables check which we never asked. That lead us into a dilemma because we want to make sure our server, Tori was taken care of. Thankfully they were able to charge $.50 to each of our cards so that we could tip her generously for her outstanding customer service. The manager, truly truly should be commended for she puts customer service far above anything. I was most impressed with these two professionals and I do mean professionals! I always have a pretty solid experience eating at BJ's. The food is always executed pretty well and service is efficient. I decided to get an order of Garlic Knots and their special Chipotle Burger. The garlic knots were flavorful, with just the right balance of garlic flavor and Parmesan cheese. The marinara sauce was alright. Just your typical tomato based sauce. The Chipotle Burger was flavorful though. Nice and meaty with a good kick from the Chipotle aioli. They also did a nice job of toasting the bun to make sure nothing became soggy. There was also a good balance of condiments and vegetables to the ratio of burger meat. Overall, solid meal :) read more
