Since it was our Anniversary, they allowed us to reschedule without paying the cancellation fee. That was amazing. We booked the forest room. The float itself was wonderful, but the shower after was lukewarm warm for maybe a minute and then just went straight to cold. If this was my first time, that would have deterred me from coming back, but the last time we were in the galaxy room, the shower was amazing (super hot and on top of that.. it was a steam shower). Im sure the forest room shower was just having a one off tonight. I would recommend the galaxy room. Just a tip, there is no mirror or comb in the room to touch up your hair and make up, so consider bringing one.

I received a confirmation text for a 12:15 pm check-in so we could be done by 2:30 pm. I think everything is straight here. I get a call the day before saying I need to be there at 10:30 am and that my appointment was moved. Pretty inconvenient when you have your freaking wedding day planned out already. We still made it work. Showed up and we were not greeted. No one was to be found. Waited around for about ten mins and finally got put in chairs for hair. Sarah (who did my hair) was friendly enough. I think she did her best and wanted me to feel good about my hair so thank you. The girl who did my sisters hair (Deja) was obviously less experienced and needed to almost be talked through the whole thing. Even on how to use a bobby pin. We asked for curls and some hair pulled back into twists. Mine was okay but my sister's was curled in some places and straight in others. Also, due to the time being moved up, we had to try and make the look last until 5 pm. Moved on to makeup and waited again for another 15 minutes or so. Finally someone pulls me over and starts. I forget her name but she was friendly enough too. My sister kept waiting for Sydney to come out and start on hers. After probably waiting another 10 mins, she comes out and asks what my sister wants. She said she wanted full makeup and Sydney responds to her with "why don't you just do it yourself". Excuse me?? We came here and made appointments for these services then you tell us to do it ourselves. Needless to say, my sister walked out. Other than Sarah and my makeup girl, the girls that work here are just kinda rude and don't do a very good job. I'm disappointed because it was my wedding day and they made something fun to be super stressful. Also, the pricing is not very clearly listed. They charged me for a wash and dry but we came in with washed and dried hair. Clueless all the way around. Maybe this place works for a regular Tuesday hair trim but DONT come here for your wedding day. Can't say I will return either way.

We followed the directions as provided and had no problem finding the place, which is a ways out of town towards Boston Harbor. The setting was beautiful - a creek runs through the property creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere. Once I stepped inside, I was transported to my Vecmama's house (my Latvian grandmother who is now deceased).......the smells were wonderful and I was in my happy place. The ambiance was so awesome. Sara-Ann was so sweet and genuine. She took my daughter back to the treatment room for about 20 minutes. When she came out for her hair cut, she looked like jelly, she was so relaxed. She said she had a nice scalp massage and had a wonderful hair washing. She did a great job talking to my daughter and asking about her and giving her the perfect hair trim. My teenaged son was with me and he enjoyed the foot massage machine in the waiting room. We ended up having her cut my sons hair as well. The prices for a buzz cut were a lot higher than other places (20) but I enjoyed the atmosphere and talking to Sara so much, I thought it was worth it. I also like shopping local. Every thing about this business is awesome. It is a drive out to her business and it is expensive (most salons are) but you get what you pay for. Although I can't afford her treatments on a regular basis, I will definitely come back for a treat for my kiddo every once in awhile and maybe me too! I really enjoyed visiting her and the whole experience.

When I say, the staff at California Nails took their time in my nails and did not rush any process. I went in at 550p and did a Builder Gel Nail service and a Basic Pedicure with Gel, they accommodated everyone that walked through the door even if they closed at 7pm. I have never been so satisfied with how my nails turned out. They were also very gentle with my nails because they were chipping and breaking from using my hands alot throughout the day. The owner was also so friendly ! Overall a great experience and the ambience is very relaxing.
