Note: If you are visiting by car, make sure to put a little extra in the parking meter. This location is near city hall and I see parking tickets on cars pretty much every day. I very rarely write reviews but the service at the WS store is just not good. For a $6.45 8 oz latte you would think the barista might look up from her cell phone or utter a welcome. The last few times I went in I gave the barista the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe her sour attitude was because she was just having a bad day. We all have bad days. I complimented her sweater and smiled and even tipped her, without her looking up or even saying one word. But damn, same thing today. I am done with this store. Starbucks coffee tastes like straight up gasoline after being spoiled to death with the awesomeness that is the Olympia Coffee Roasting Company. I pregame at home with the Big Truck coffee every morning before I head to the nearest OCR to get a sweet latte. I don't have a problem. This review makes me sound like a bro for coffee and I have no shame in admitting that if I could have a pair of truck coffee beans (like truck nuts, except less nutty) I would buy a truck just so I could attach them to it. I love talking to the lovely people that work here. Jess is by far my favorite person ever in the universe and she makes a mean cup of coffee, Taylor is super nice and makes an A+ vanilla latte, and Rachael is always so friendly and sweet! What an amazing place! A barista from another coffee shop in town suggested we meet here after the one she works at is closed. So glad she did! I had the cold brew on nitro - a heavenly experience. My girlfriend and I needed coffee for the last leg of our journey home from Oregon. She suggested this place because of the good reviews and it certainly lived up to its ratings. Mediocre coffee and poor technique when it comes to espresso beverages is so commonplace today that the actual quality of the beverages rarely determines how good a coffee shop is. The barista who made my cappuccino and my girlfriend's latte performed her work deftly and quickly. She didn't rush to close orders between customers and she took her time to talk to people and make sure their beverages were perfect. It was the first cappuccino I've had in a long time with no bitter taste at all. This seems like a great location for even just a cup of brewed drip coffee, which are made to order right at the counter. I'll definitely look forward to coming back here next time I'm near Olympia. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. While I love the new location - it's aesthetically pleasing, greater seating choices, trendy feel - I feel like the customer service has declined. The baristas used to be friendly and personable, but now they seem like a trendy club of people enjoying their time behind the bar and semi-annoyed with incoming customers. I don't like feeling like I'm interrupting people and am more likely to just go somewhere else rather than say anything. Coffee? Big Truck is the best! Sadly, they don't have it as an option anymore for espresso. Their decaf is also wonderful, but most of the time, I'm looking for a caffeinated latte. The Sweetheart is just "eh" to me and I'd prefer Batdorf's for lattes compared to it. In short, I'll pick up my Big Truck from here, but I'll be going to Batdorf for my lattes most likely in the future. read more

I love the atmosphere here. It is so crisp, light, and clean. As for the coffee, (I'm only speaking for the iced coffee) it has a nice refreshing kick to it every time you took a sip. I added their fresh vanilla to my drink and it was so good! The only qualm that I have is that the chairs here are uncomfortable and there are barely any plugs for your laptop. read more

I've wanted to stop in here for ages and I'm so glad I finally did. It's a beautiful space, and you can tell the baristas really care to make your drink perfectly. That of course ties into the downside, which is that service is quite slow. I think we were about fifth or sixth in line and we waited 10-15 minutes or so to order. Seating is relatively limited and I wouldn't really call it "comfy" but I just went to meet up with a friend and catch up over a cup, and it was great for that. read more
