The boarding price is very reasonable ($17 USD per night) and they seem to have a very good control of their customers. The spaces for the dogs are separated by size of they'll feed either what you bring or what you ask them too. OUTDOORS This property sits in a semi-rural area, yet close to I-5, so you'll find that they take the pets out to the large, natural grass area in the back... Where they can experience outdoors for 15 minutes a day. Outdoors in the #PNW has a different meaning for different people, even for dogs. It's #outdoors nonetheless. RESERVATIONS With a large all-season all-inclusive waterpark resort such as Great Wolf Lodge a couple of minutes away, finding a spot takes time. My dog doesn't have the best manners - but they see him for the big love that he is. They smile as big as he does when they see each other. They remember tiny details about his silly personality quirks. (Usually just seeing him once a year for a few days) They care for all of his needs and bring him so much joy. The first time they even texted details about his day to help us feel more comfortable leaving him at a new place. Every time he comes home from Sylvan, we can tell he misses all the friends he made at the kennel - human and other dog friends. Honestly, we would never consider taking him anywhere else at this point. Pro tip - the grooming and nail trimming service is worth every penny - and such a reasonable cost.

I have been taking my dog to various groomers for the past 11 years so I know how Long it typically takes for an appointment. They scheduled her at noon, which I thought was strange because typically it's a 9am drop off and pick up at 330pm. This place had her done at 230. 2.5 hours to groom a pure white giant fluff ball. I specifically stated on the phone, are you sure she is dry because she will stink if not fully dry, as she has an undercoat. They assured me she was almost dry and still in the dryer. This place was also an hour and 20 minutes round trip to get to, so we spent 2hr 40 to drop her off and pick her up today total. I even waited an additional 2 hours to pick her up after the phone call because I was worried she would still be wet, and sure enough, when I saw her I noticed her fur looked wet in multiple places. When I touched her, her neck was wet, her Jing legs were wet, her entire underbelly was wet, I instantly told them she is still wet. The man who worked there took her back to blow dry her further for about 5 minutes tops the brought her back out and said she is pretty done with the dryer, here you go and gave me my half wet dog. I came home, and spent another hour drying her off myself and not to mention hair flying everywhere after they charged me extra for deshedding. Honestly so disappointed and irritated that they did not care enough to do their job properly. It cost 70$ and I tipped 25$ so to have to come home and blow dry her further and brush her also for an additional hour was extremely unreasonable. I will not be taking her back here.

All-in-all a pretty bare-bones set up, which was okay for a short board. My issue arises from her billing/charge policy, which is not stated anywhere on her website. I dropped my dog off at 10:15 on a Saturday morning, would return Sunday evening. I was told I could not pick up on Sunday if I would not be there by noon, and therefore had to pick up on Monday. Ok. that's fine, I understand wanting an evening off from dealing with clients. Additionally her rates are really low so I didn't really mind having to pay for 2 nights. However, upon picking my dog up on Monday morning (I had to be there at 7:30 AM!), I was informed my charge was for three days. When I asked why, as my dog had been there for LITERALLY less than 48 hours (only TWO nights), I was informed that the charges were for each day including drop-off and pick-up. ???? So, let me get this straight... I only wanted to board for one night, willingly committed to two nights for her convenience and was, in the end, charged for three nights. This is weird, right? I called two other kennels we have worked with previously and they are both 'per night' rates, unless you have to arrange for late pickup, meaning after 3 pm, which I completely understand. My dog seems to be in alright shape. Very tired, clingy and thirsty but over all she seems ok. Bottom line is we will not be going back due to strange/misleading billing policies.

After going through an intensive online application and further communication with one of the people there, I agreed to come visit and was asked to bring my friend as he lives on my property and will be an influence in a new dog's life here. The nice lady I was talking with explained that although she will not be there on the Saturday I was to visit but assured me that the shelter manager would be happy to talk with me. It is over an hour away so I wanted to make the most of my visit. I also brought my two much older dogs with me in case there was an opportunity to let them meet each other. When we arrived we were met by two volunteers both pleasant young ladies and an occasional third young man. We met the puppy and even took her for a walk down the road. The place was empty of other visitors and the parking lot was empty. important. I get it that they care about their dogs and want to make sure that they find nice homes. but.. Apparently the shelter manager was too busy to speak with me even though she was the only one who could say anything that wasn't a part of their 'script' and it was she that I came to talk to and whom I had made the appointment to meet. They would not allow my dogs to meet the puppy and insisted that the next step 'had' to be an in home visit. Again... just repeating their script as they had no authority to do anything other than repeat the script. So we left with assurances that they would be in contact with me to arrange said visit. That was over 3 weeks ago and still not a word from any of them, not a call or even an email. I am an older gentleman who owns my own home with 3 acres of land alongside of a river with an additional 35 acres of land next to me for walks and I have owned dogs my entire life. I have no idea what their issue is but this is a pretty crappy way of dealing with someone who wants to provide a home for a dog from a shelter.
