I have a puppy Labradoodle her name is Lulu. We had our start day at Top Dog Daycare today dropped her off at 8 AM and picked her up at 4:30. She looks exhausted! I brought her home she ate all of her food and went right back to sleep. That is a great day for a puppy. Since I was starting to look around Top Dog gave me all the information that I needed and even more I could tell that they were caring business. They made it very easy for me I did all my paperwork online faxed in my pet records made an appointment for a trial day and she loved it. We will be going there every Tuesday and Thursday for a while. I bought A package for 20 days so I don't have to worry about payment I just get to drop her off and pick her up. By the way I had an excellent day taking care of so many things you can't do when you have a puppy. Thank you Top Dog I have been going to Top Dog now for over 1 years. Jordon and her staff really go the extra mile. I see some old negative reviews from a long time ago that reflects the previous owner. Jordon is the owner and has the friendliest staff. I use the daycare and boarding and my Lulu know and gets excited the morning she is scheduled for fun Lulu and I love this place. read more

Ruby gets all excited going to this daycare. I always feel she is in good hands with the staff who work there. They are always friendly and caring!! She usually is quite exhausted when she gets home, I know she has had a good playtime with the other dogs. read more

Top Dog Daycare - Dog Walkers Near Me - Tumwater, Washington

Came in once to find the owner taking a nap, and there was the strong smell of fresh dog poop. Staff constantly on phones. Room mates' dog came back with small bite wounds (not that big of a deal but they didn't let us know if there had been an altercation, dog bites can get infected easily). Doing a tour, the place was decrepit.The floor was cracked and falling apart and there's nowhere soft for elderly dogs to rest save for a few thin, torn-apart blankets. Their 'kennels' where they apparently lock them up for 2 hours for down-time are rusty and have sharp edges sticking out that could wound employees or dogs. There's no hand-railing leading up to where the kennels are either, and I was told to 'grab onto the lattice fencing' which would have been very easy to fall through. Overall the place needs a massive over haul, and while the dogs may seem to be having a good time, it's definitely not really safe for them or the workers. read more

Staff is friendly and attentive. Since I live in Tumwater, this is so convenient for weekly drop offs and pickups during the week. Once a week helps give my fur friend socialization and exercise during the week. (It helps mitigate my guilt about mid-week time for my "best friend.") read more

My dog got extremely sick at daycare immediately after purchasing a package valued at over $200.00. He had kennel cough, other infections and his coat was falling out due to being around other dogs. We did understand the risks of taking our dogs to daycare, but his treatment cost 600.00 . When this happened owner seemed understanding, told us to take a break. Well, it took almost a year to get healthy again. After lots of consideration, we decided we didn't want our dog to go back. We asked for a refund and her response was that it would impact her books. I came up with another thought...I emailed Debbie and asked if we could transfer my dogs packages to my friend's dog? She said no and wasn't accommodating at all. I would definitely never recommend anyone take their dog to this establishment. She will take your money and run. read more

Unprofessional and disrespectful staff. Asked us not to return because our 2yr old Golden Retriever (who has been going there once a week for 1yr now) was overly excited the first 5 minutes of each visit there. On a side note they gave him kennel cough while we were on vacation in July. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE and so do my DOGS!! I have an 8 yr old Rott & a beegle mix puppy - she started going here when she was just 3 mo old and is 9 mo now. I have used both the extended stay and daycare. I now take my puppy at least once a week if not more for the daycare. It is great for getting your dog socialized and they are worn out from playing all day when you pick them up, which makes for a relaxing evening =) The staff are all great, very personal, they really take time with the dogs to practice good behavior and minding. I don't trust this place. I took my two dogs there for boarding three times. They were never excited to go back, but that's no shocker. After the third time, my lab threw up, trembled for a day or so, and had diarrhea for three days. The next time we went out of town, I took him back to the place I'd always gone to before, and she afterward asked if something had happened to the lab. He had increased separation anxiety and was particularly frightened of poop scoops (which I don't use). I went to Top Dog because of all the good reviews, but it didn't work for my dogs. read more

I found this little gem a few years ago after I moved to Tumwater. Debbie and her staff are wonderful and my lab absolutely loves it here. I sincerely appreciate the care they have provided and even more so-letting me know if there were any issues (once my dog got snapped at by another dog no major issues). They always recognize my dog when I bring her in for daycare even if it has been several months. I trust them with my "fur-baby" and will continue to bring her here for a fun filled play day! read more

Top Dog is amazing. We travel and work a lot and have an anxious little Maltese that we adore and needs special care. Debbie and her team are the only ones we feel safe leaving our little guy with. The personalized care is outstanding and reasonably priced. We like that Debbie will give us updates when we ask about our little boy by text or email, especially when we are out of the country. I took my pup here for three days. Each morning I was not to be kindly greeted at the front while dropping off my dog, rather ignored by a condescending girl with a very bad attitude. Every morning she continued to acknowledge only my dog while I walked through the door. The second day my dog came back covered in feces. Each day it was more and more of a struggle to convince my dog to go. I don't know what kind of establishment they are running here but I sure as hell would not recommend it for your beloved dogs. read more

This place makes me so mad. The owner here will do anything a save a buck, she completely overbooks the dogs to the point where it's over crowded and constantly chaotic. I came in with my golden retriever puppy and was turned away after a few days. I did a tour of the place and if I were a dog, it's not the place I'd want to be. I mean the dogs are provided with a piece of cardboard in the winter to keep them warm. They are locked in cages for multiple hours and what I found the worst part is the employee that takes your dog when you drop them off. She talked to me like I was a child and didn't know my own dog or what was best for it. Highly do not recommend. read more

My girlfriend and I put up our papillion Barkley for three nights. We were told that it was $27 a night and no other charges were specified. She tacked on an additional $21 when we picked Barkley up before noon. When I asked her about it, she said there was an additional day care charge if you pick up your dog after 10 AM. Not only that, she had left Barkley's bed at her house and would not offer to bring it to us at our home, or to at least give us a discount for our time and expense to have to come down and pick up the bed at a later date. Our dog went here for over a year before we were asked to leave for "behavior issues". I don't believe there is much being considered in terms of dog safety. I was under the impression that there were too many dogs for such a small space. In addition dogs are led in the parking lot to the outside area without leashes (both me and 2 friends have seen this). Since we were asked to leave we take our dog to friendly grove where is is much happier, and they have yet to report any "behavior issues". I no longer recommend my friends to this facility. read more

My one year old pup has been coming here for about 7 months, once a week or less for daycare. He was a rescue who was poorly socialized and also had some bad behaviors (not aggressive, but definitely annoying). They really helped him learn how to interact with other dogs well. He loves going, which is really nice because he is usually glued to me and not interested in other people. He is always safe, seems happy and content afterwards, tired but not overly exhausted. The owner is wonderful and her staff are a lot of fun, someone is always with the dogs (other places will leave dogs unattended, which is why I went elsewhere), and they really get to know the dogs well. I highly recommend this place. I've never boarded, but have been impressed with the daycare and the staff. read more

My dog has been going to Top Dog weekly for 1.5 years and he loves it. He's very social so this place is the silver bullet if you want a tired dog...and my dog could run a half-marathon and still have energy, seriously. The setup and process at TD is well thought out regarding dog and people safety--I've never had an issue. Although I was expecting a daycare to be an outdoor field of grass, I wouldn't let that deter you from going to TD because the dogs get what they need, it's safe, and the staff are fantastic. Debbie, Ashley, and all the staff are dog lovers so they treat your dog as if s/he were their own. My dog will sometimes come home with treats on his birthday, or a new bandanna, and they even had a Christmas photographer and emailed us photos! It's like he's a little kid going off to pre-school--so cute! We recently got a second dog who is far less social, but after only two visits to Top Dog, he's much better now when we run into other dogs on our walks. I highly recommend Top Dog. read more
