Food was good, surprised there isn't an olive or hummus to be seen in a Greek Restaurant. I had the gyro platter with cumber sauce and half a pita. I opted for a double side salad instead of fries or rice. No wait to order, reasonable prices, quick service, and a generally clean restaurant. Very casual. Looks like dining room can easily accommodate large groups. Wide variety of menu items from pizza, subs, Italian, and Greek. I'd return for a quick lunch. read more

We've been eating at the Olympian for years as we travel back and forth to the coast. The restaurant was closed on Saturday and Sunday for a while, but now they are open on Sunday again, which is perfect after a weekend at the beach. I usually order the spinach pita, but tried the Olympian Special for a change of pace. This is a lot of food for the money and comes with a large salad (the house-made Greek dressing is great), two slices of Gyro, a chicken kebab, a pork kebab, tzatziki, pita, and rice/fries. The Gyro was hot off the grill, but nothing special. The chicken kebab was flavorful but a bit dry from being overcooked. The pork kebab was the star of the show: hot, tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Try the rice instead of the fries; it's very flavorful. The Olympian features counter service, but they do bring your food to the table. Everyone in the restaurant is friendly, polite, and responsive. The restaurant is simple, functional, and spotless. They expect a tip and also charge to use a credit card. I always enjoy eating at The Olympian. It consistently delivers a tasty, solid take on Greek classics at a very reasonable price. First time there was a big disappointment. Food wasn't made as requested because they forgot. Items were missing from my order which caused a hold up for everyone in my party. Small portion sizes for the cost. I do not recommend this place!! read more

Traditional local restaurant, nothing fancy. Semi-clean and spacious. People are nice and and the food is edible. Interior color match the exterior. Traditional Greek blue and white color combination. Interior up-keep of the facility seems to be ignored. Miss matched water stained acoustical ceiling tiles, dirty air diffusers and blistering and peeling paint on the walls. A little TLC would give me a better feel of what the kitchen might look like behind the scenes. This place speaks volumes of being very cheap when it comes to eating on styrofoam plates. I can understand cups and cheap plasticware, but styrofoam plates are extremely cheap and it makes me feel as if this place could care less about customer service. I feel the price I pay for a meal is more than enough to cover an upgrade on sturdier plates, even recycled paper plates would be an upgrade. Was in town for training and decided to give them a try. Bad choice! I had their gyro sandwich meal and I was extremely disappointed. The sandwich literally had only 3 thin strips of meat and the rest was a bunch of lettuce and tomatoes. To top it off the meat and pita were nasty. My $12 was definitely wasted! read more

Pretty good Greek place, nothing fancy. I only have had gyros (solid, unspectacular but hot & fresh) and grilled chicken (souvlaki, chicken gyro). All freshly prepared and flavorful. Not fancy but polite service. Speaking Greek did not do me any good though. read more

I really enjoyed the atmosphere in the restaurant. The service when ordering is fast and friendly. Alot of people seemed to know each other. (I kind of felt left out). I ordered the greek salad and spinach pita. The salad was awesome. The potato salad in the middle was great. The tziki sauce was yummy but extra. The pita was so so and dry, which is why i got tziiki sauce. Next time i will order pizza to try that. I am a vegetarian and am usually very excited when i see "greek" restaurant. But although i enjoyed my food i wouldn't call it greek. No spanikoppitaita, no grape leaves, no hummus, no taboulah or other vegetarian foods i consider greek. I will be back. read more

We ordered two gyros, an order of fries and a 1/4 lb dressed burger and 2 sodas for the 3 of us for a total of $27.00. Since we're from NY and know that a Gyro is shaved off a vertical broiler, we expected such from this restaurant. Our gyros had the strips that you find in a frozen food section that were heated thru and put in a Pita. There was shredded iceberg lettuce, some small pieces of tomato, no onion and little Tzatziki sauce. When my husband went up to the counter to ask for more Tzatziki sauce, instead of getting him a small bit in a cup the cashier was thumbing through receipts to see what we ordered and IF we paid $1.50 for extra Tzatziki sauce. When I saw this fiasco I went up with my Gyro in hand and said, "I just want a bit more, look at this, it's dry, no sauce here". Then the owner shows up, he tells me, " The sauce is at the bottom end of the pita". Back and forth and finally he puts some in a cup and tells me, "I'll give this to you but it usually costs $1.50 for extra sauce. This is not a good way to do business. By the time we got back to our table the food was cold. I do not recommend the food or the service here, Oh, and our granddaughter's burger was on a stale bun with a thin burger that was advertised as a 1/4 lb. You get us once...never again. read more

We stopped in for a quick lunch - and quick it was! Our gyros and fries were out lickety split! The food was decent, however WAY overpriced for the portions (7.00 for just a gyro, no fries or drink included). We asked about an additional side of tziki sauce for our fries and were originally given a price of 0.45, which was fine, but then a server returned and told us it would be $1.25.... For a side of sauce. I guess being a Brooklynite simply spoiled me as far as Mediterranean food goes. The escalated pricing didn't accommodate any atmosphere - it was cramped and loud, obviously a poorly converted fast food joint. I guess in a little town they can get away with inflated prices when there's not much else to choose from - it was crowded - but I wouldn't recommend to fellow out of towners. read more

This Greek restaurant puts out amazing food each time we go! They offer Greek dishes as well as Italian and American choices. My husband loves their Philly Cheese sandwich. I am a fan of their Chicken Suvlaki and Greek salad. Matter of fact, I might go get one after I finish writing this. The waitresses are nice and funny to listen to as most of them are teenage girls. Always good for a giggle. The lady who owns the buisness is a bit of a butthead though. That's the reason for not getting the fourth star. I dislike that she won't allow substitutions on her food and she tends to walk around looking like she is constantly pissed off. Her employees don't seem to like her very much either. Sad.
