Great food and service we shared a few appetizers and entrees. First we started with the taziki And pita bread it was nice and fresh with great flavor. Then we had the sourdough with dips that had nice flavor. I then I got the short rib with orzo it was so tender and rich balanced well with savory flavors of the orzo. For desert we got the backlava it was delicious and rich. The restaurant looked great and was very inviting. I thought the outside seating looked great as well.c

I did not have a chance to go inside. We sat outside. The are a ton of outdoor seating. The space is huge. It's decorated with plants. It's beautiful. The serve was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. This was my first time having Greek food. It was pretty good! Make reservations! It gets filled quickly. I don't make a reservation but we arrived when they first opened and were able to get a seat.

The food here is always good. The service is also on point. Ambiance is nice, can be a little tight depending on where they seat you. And hopefully never at the 2 high tops right next to door and waiting area. I would never sit there. Both my husband and I split the eggplant app, 6 oysters and we both had the Greek stuffed pepper. It was delicious, just wish they had the lemon Greek potatoes with the dish, then it would have been amazing.

Looked up Greek cuisine so we could go out for my mother's birthday and Kipos was one of the highest rated. As you can see from the decor, it's a very nice restaurant that's modern and classy. It's clean inside and we were greeted by the front desk in a polite manner. We sat inside; if the weather was nicer we could've sat outside. Definitely next time! Our waitress came in and gave us a detailed explanation of the menu since we were first timers. She was knowledgeable despite being so young. Many people share their appetizers and sometimes even the entrees but we went ahead and got two appetizers and separate entrees. We first got the Grilled Sourdough with Fava Santorini. Very good! We also ordered the Grilled Octopus, and that was actually among the best we've ever had. It was charred, crispy, fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend. Then for our entrees. They took a little bit to arrive, but it was worth the wait. I got the short rib, and it melts; it was fantastic. My mom got the fish, which our waitress deboned in front of us. I was impressed with how well she performed it. Lastly, we ordered dessert, and we all picked off each others, and they were all sweet, tart and yummy as well. Overall, if you are looking for fine dining, nice ambiance, and high quality Greek food, Kipos is the way to go!

Everything was amazing. So far the best Greek food I've had in NC. The moussaka was perfect. The service was also exceptional.

From start to finish, this place blew us away. It was hands-down the most memorable dinner we've ever had in Wilmington. The magic started right at the door with Elena, the sweetest hostess who remembered it was my birthday and showed us a few different table options so we could pick our vibe. Such a thoughtful touch, and it instantly made the night feel special. Then came Garret, our server -- and wow. He was incredibly attentive, knew the menu inside and out, and made everything feel effortless and fun. We kicked things off with the Tosail oysters (so fresh, so good), then dove into two unforgettable entrées: lamb over couscous and salmon over a butternut squash purée. Every bite was next-level delicious. The atmosphere? Absolutely beautiful. Cozy and stylish, with jazz playing in the back and a garden that Garret suggested we explore while waiting for our food -- such a cool touch that made the experience feel even more unique. And just when we thought it couldn't get better, the manager came by with a handwritten birthday card to wish me happy birthday. It was such a personal, thoughtful moment that made the night unforgettable. We literally woke up the next morning still talking about it and already wanting to go back. Kipos is more than just a restaurant -- it's a full-on experience, and we can't recommend it enough.

I really enjoyed my dinner at Kipos. The atmosphere was super cute - I loved the blue and white decor, dinnerware, etc. Our waitress was really helpful in suggesting wine and going over the menu. We had a vegetarian in our party and were happy to find there was a vegetarian ravioli option on the menu. Portions were definitely small, but that's how I prefer it and I left feeling satisfied. Our dinners, desserts, and cocktails were yummy and presented well. I hope to return in different weather to enjoy the outdoor patio!

We have been big fans of Kipos in chapel hill and are saddened that they flooded. The wilmington site does not disappoint with the fabulous food, ambience and incredible waitstaff. We will be back soon and hopefully they will have the Greek cookies ...

We liked the one in Chapel Hill, so we were happy when this one opened. Our server explained that this location is considered upscale dining compared to the other location. We don't mind that because it's nice to go somewhere without T-shirts and baseball hats everywhere, which are perfectly fine in the right place. The interior is beautiful and has plenty of seating. It will get loud in there when it's full making it difficult to converse with a larger group. The service was impeccable. They only serve Greek wine which adds to the authenticity and it's always fun to try something new. The food was good. It wasn't the best food we've eaten, but it was good. Just not quite worthy of a 5.

Came here on a Sunday evening for dinner around 6pm. Was able to get a nice parking spot and able to be seated right away. The inside is so cute with great decor and the outside garden is also very cute. Everything looked very cohesive and the workers all looked very professional. All the appetizers sounded very good. I would've ordered all of them! We ordered the zucchini chips to split and they were so tasty! So crispy and the sauce was delicious! I then ordered the short ribs. Yummy! There was a lot of meat and the flavors worked really well. A little bit of a pricier meal but this place would be great if celebrating a special occasion or a fun date night!

Service was great, inside was pretty. Food was ok compared to the price. 3% credit card fee was disappointing.

I talked to Rhonda (who prepared the food and cooked) and her husband. Both were very nice. The other folks working there were friendly and asked how I liked my meal. Today I had the beef shawarma pita. It's made with rib eye and it was excellent! The flavors of the beef, tahini sauce, pickles, etc., all melded together nicely. My friend had the chicken shawarma pita, which she loved. Everything is fresh made. The prices are reasonable for the what you get. I would say a side should be included in the price you pay; however the portions for me were perfect. I was stuffed! The restaurant is tucked behind Uptown market. There's three small tables inside, but they have seating outside on the patio. It's a casual place and very clean. Their restaurant ratings by the North Carolina inspection scores is 100%. They also have a small food market. Will be back soon with my husband. I know he'll love this place too.

There is no restaurant sign so just head to the back of the market. There are two small tables inside and currently two outdoor bench tables outside. The outdoor seating area is still being worked on with the plan of adding more seating. Everything is homemade fresh daily, except the bread, cake slices and tiramisu. Baklava ran out since they had an event for BMW. There are plans for a clay oven to be installed for bread to be made on site. You can see the chicken and lamb on the spits when you walk in. I ordered the beef/lamb gyro and added fries for an upcharge of $2.08. The owner and chef were nice to let me sample their falafel. All of the food was great, you can tell the food is homemade. Looks like they forgot the tzatziki sauce on the gyro, but still tasted great with the cucumbers salad and pickled red onions. The falafel was very crispy and the seasoned fries had a delicious, thick, white garlic sauce. Definitely worthy to check out!
