Here is why you need to check out Hungry Bear Tacos: * Handmade Tortillas: You can really taste the difference; the tortillas are fresh, authentic, and have the perfect texture. * The Quesadilla: It is huge and loaded with melted cheese and savory meat--definitely a must-order. * The Vibe: Their truck is one of the most impressive I've seen, complete with a TV that makes waiting for your food actually enjoyable. * Top-Tier Service: The staff was really nice and provided great service, making the whole experience even better.

The employees are nice. As for the food itself, on my first visit I had an amazing al pastor burrito. It was packed with meat, fillings, and flavor. They also separately packaged the salsas, cucumbers, radishes, and limes, which I appreciated. I came back within the same week and ordered an asada burrito. It was still good, but not as generously filled as the burrito from my first visit. They also packed all the radishes, cucumbers, and limes on the same plate as the burrito. As a result, the vegetables were warm and unpalatable. I'm giving 4 stars because my first visit was excellent, but based on my second experience, they do seem to lack some consistency.

The carnitas were not dry at all and had so much flavor. Honestly, this is probably the only place I would go back to specifically get something with carnitas in it. My burrito was really good as well. Everything tasted fresh and had a lot of flavor. The salsa was also really good and had the perfect amount of flavor. The service was great too! Overall, everything was delicious, fresh, and flavorful. Definitely a place I would come back to!

The ambiance is giving traditional Mexican spot. They have music playing in the background and an amazing chips and salsa bar. It's very small inside and dine in is limited. Consider taking it to go if you're bigger than a party of 2-4. I ordered a protein taco, shrimp taco, beef taquitos, and a Cali burrito. Nothing skimped! These were all large portions, especially the Cali burrito ( I did not eat but my lunch date said it was bomb). The shrimp taco was good. It had grilled shrimp (but the shrimp was slightly over cooked or it's pre cooked shrimp that they grill), cabbage, tomatoes, cilantro, and cabbage, and crema on two corn tortillas. The corn tortilla could also be heated a bit more because the toppings are so heavy, it shredded up while eating it. Overall, it was a decent taco. The protein taco (I chose carne asada) was on a nice hedge of lettuce and had tomatoes, cream, onions, and cilantro. This I really enjoyed and thought it was a unique concept. The meat had a nice flavor and it's just a simple dish excited well. The beef taquitos We're crispy and came topped with lettuce, tomato, and crema w/ guacamole on the side. They were made well but what took away from it was I could taste the oil it was fried in and it wasn't a pleasant after taste. This place is on a soft opening so they may be working out the kinks. Definitely give this place a try. They have all the condiments and sides, including beans at the chips and salsa bar and the food was good overall.

I must have gotten the wrong things to order cause what I got last evening was not the move…read more Apparently I should have gotten their fish dishes cause I got their carne asada tacos and it was interesting. Let's start with the tacos. They were very greasy and suuuuuper salty. I like my carne asada to be flavorful but whoever marinated the meat that day was either heavy on the salt or over marinated. I'm leaning on over marinated cause the texture of the asada was terrible. It was mushy and stringy when probably mean it marinated too long. Maybe the choice of meat was had too? It just tasted like ground beef and not flap meat like most places do it. It was the same story for the California burrito. I love a good California. Probably one of my favorite burritos to get. But Bahia was not it. Again same problem with the meat. Overly salty and meat texture was off. Ironically enough, the parts that didn't have any meat were very good. Now when it came down the service the lady behind the counter was very nice and the restaurant itself was very clean. So I do give them props for that. Maybe I'll come back and try their seafood/fish dishes since that seems to be what they are known for but if it's based of the asada, wasn't a good first impression.

Although their prices are high, $16 for a torta, it's usually worth it, because their portions are quite generous. Earlier today, I ordered a torta to go, and I ended up extremely disappointed when I got home. It had literally half the meat, half the beans, and half the cheese that it normally does. This was the first time I'd been disappointed with their food, but I decided to call and express my dissatisfaction. I was passed to the manager who handled the situation in the most unprofessional way. I explained the issue to him, and he insisted that my torta today had the same amount of meat, beans, and cheese as always. I disagreed with him, and he responded angrily, "Everybody makes mistakes!" He raised his voice and repeated it a couple of times. It was completely bizarre that he chose to speak to me as if I was the one who'd done something wrong. It's very childish to do a subpar job and then get upset and frustrated when you're called on it. An adult apologizes and pledges to not blow it again. Anyhow, I don't tolerate disrespectful people so I'm done. I won't spend another penny there.
