Tried one of their Olympic Flame menu! We got the Steak Breakfast with eggs and hasbrown. Yes none of them were seasoned at all !!! The medium steak I ordered medium rare and was cooked well done !!!! The hash brown tasted so earthy with no seasoning !! Staff was friendly and he keeps tables clean! Very clean place. Great service. Warm welcome. At ease and comfortable feeling. Good number of choices on Their menu. Sweetheart and I shared steak and egg for late breakfast. We ordered medium on the steak but came out more of well done. Eggs sunny side up nicely done. My coffee and sweetheart's hot coco was good. Food in general tasted like no seasoning at all ((bland). Used restroom to wash my hands and was overwhelmed by the smell. Waterless urinals are always stinky if not regularly maintained. It was awful but then it's shared with gas station kiosk next door too so I don't know who's suppose to keep up with maintenance. Will probably come back still and try their menudo. read more

The Yelp says Chelo's but I do believe the new name is Olympic Burgers. They have amazing chiliquiles , burgers , egg burritos. Next time I'll try their quesadillas. Service has always been quick and ready. I usually call in my order so I can eat at home or if I'm on the road. They also support the community at events which I appreciate eating breakfast burritos at my grandkids Tball games. It shares the building with AMPM with their own separate entrance from outside. First time trying this place and I wanted a pastrami but the cook said they didn't have it. So I ordered the chili cheese fries and was very disappointed. Mind you this was my first meal of the. They were watery, and had no flavor i had to add alot of salt for taste. When I opened the container, they looked like they were going to be good but unfortunately they were not. Sad that my first time was a bad experience I dont think I will be going back. I moved to Cali in 2018 and fell in love with street tacos and such. I've always been a fan of mom n pop restaurants cus they just taste better most of the time but this place right here is AWESOME! I worked next door at the AM/PM before the homeless got to be too much but started eating there and they shocked me so I legit go their almost every morning for breakfast when I get my hot chocolate from AM/PM and they are always so sweet and the food is always nice and fresh! I ordered a breakfast burrito this morning at 5:20 this morning place wasn't too busy 3 people before me. I watched the chef make the burritos and plate using reheated rice from a zip-loc bag. I watch the chef reheat almost all the meats in the microwave as well. as I waited more and more people came in and were ordering and getting their food really fast. I sat and watched my burrito sit alone on the counter while the lady continuously helped out all the locals that came in after me with receiving their orders. My burrito probably sat 12 minutes on the counter as I watched in disbelief I noticed that they have a camera at the counter looking right down at where you would put your PIN in the debit card device. Super disappointed to write this because two of my favorite things are small businesses and neighborhood burger joints. In the case of Chelo's the food just wasn't good. I ordered an avocado burger and the first issue was no avocado was added to my burger. Issue number two was that the burger patty was really rubbery and under seasoned. The next item I ordered was a side of fried zucchini's. The size and amount for the price was disappointing. The zucchini's were tiny compared to other burger joints. The breading to zucchini ratio was not balanced. Too much breading and the zucchini itself had a very strange flavor. Overall my meal was very below average. Some positives were the cashier who helped me was friendly, the food was made in a timely manner, and it was even brought over to my table by the cook. I was looking forward to coming here for awhile, and now I'm not sure I'll give them a second chance. If I do I will update accordingly. read more

I go to this place for the menudo I always ask for extra hominy witch I paid for I'm picky how I eat menudo. Took a little while than normal they where busy finally got our order then went up to the counter and asked the lady for the drinks. The guys (owner) at the register looked at me with a look and said I'll get them to you. Really? Second issue back to the menudo they did the opposite of what I paid for more meat just a few bits of hominy. Really Upsetting I just walked over to am/pm and the junk food was more satisfying. This review is for their chorizo burrito ONLY. Restuarant is inside an arco\ampm gas station. I got a chorizo breakfast burrito for $7. The burrito had little to NO chorizo in it, made of mostly beans and hashbrowns. It's not worth it for the price. Definitely can find way better chorizo burritos for cheaper. read more

From the very first visit my family has enjoyed eating here. Seemed a little bit weird at first since it's attached to an Arco, but the seats are comfortable, they make the food fast and prices are very reasonable. We've had the shrimp and steak fajitas, and asked if they could make a shrimp burrito (they did). Excellent all the way around. We've had several breakfasts-- all of them really good, very generous portions, great taste. My personal favorite is the shredded beef torta...the bollio is so soft and warm and yummy! Every dish we've gotten here has been a hit! Even my picky grandchildren love it! Staff is very nice and they bring the food to the tables and you don't clean the table afterwards (so try to leave a tip in the tip jar, I'm sure they appreciate it). OMG! I ordered the Fried Chicken Dinner... Some of thee best tasting chicken I've ever had. Better than KFC. It comes with either Rice & Beans or Fries, Onions Rings & a side salad ( all 3). The food here is pretty decent as you can read in my previous review, but this review is about the service I received on this day. I usually place my orders over the phone for me and my co-workers. I love that Chelo's offers this conveniency cause I can quickly pick it up and go back to work. Today I ordered the carne asada burrito. When I got back to work I took a bite of my burrito and realized it was a machaca burrito. It was a good burrito, but I wasn't in the mood for the machaca. I was craving their carne asada. I called the place and spoke to a girl and she was quickly aware of the situation, apologized, and said she would have a carne asada burrito waiting. When I walked into Chelo's I was dumbfounded by the way I was greeted (being that I was coming back because my order was wrong). The guy who took my order over the phone tells me "you ordered a machaca burrito." I was like "I never order machaca burritos." He was like "yeah you ordered a machaca burrito." I was starting to loose my temper so my response was "are you saying that I'm wrong and that its my fault?" That's when he calmed down a little and realized he might of just heard me wrong. I was in the area visiting a relative and went in for a to go order. Place is small but clean. My cousin requested a chorizo breakfast burrito and menudo to share. My order came out quickly and the lady behind the counter fairly friendly. Burrito was very bland and could tell by the smell of the menudo before we even opened the container it was going to be a huge disappointment. We love that we can get menudo any day of the week but be sure to go early on Sundays they run out and you have yo wait for the next batch but worth the wait. Very very good burger and fries! They are the typical charbroiled burgers with the thick fries, but it was fresh and very well made. The fries were nicely seasoned and they don't charge for ranch! That's always a plus. The only negative thing I have to say is that their fries are inconsistent. When they are cooked right, they are amazing, but I never really know what I'm getting when I order. Prices are good. They have lunch specials and they serve breakfast and dinner items all day as well. Nothing too special, but definitely worth stopping for. I've had several items on the menu. My favorite one is their club sandwich. They add cheese and pickles to it when most people don't. I've had their chicken club as well. They add avocados on that, which is different. The fry was cold and had been sitting for quite some time and the eggs was cooked harder than a stalk of celery. All the while they took a truckers order, took payment and gave him his food. My sandwich was at best cold because it had been sitting. When asked for a hot fry the cook threw the fries back in the grease and re-cooked them. Talk about COVID. This place is a hot mess and definitely not following health guidelines. The cook thought it was funny and the cashier selectively only spoke Spanish at this time. Tried to find the "corp office" to contact them first. But couldnt find anything. Have been thinking about trying this place for awhile, so this morning I went and ordered a Breakfast Burrito. First thing, the Cashier (middle aged man) took my order and I noticed when he went to give me my change he didnt actually ring up my order, the register didnt have a total, just zero... and didnt give me a receipt. Having worked in retail in mgmt I know this little trick, but that isnt the bad part (for the company maybe) He then gives my order to the cook, then he rings up another customer, takes his money etc... then walks to the back.. without washing his hands he proceeds to start chopping up some meat (with his UNCLEAN, just handled money twice hands) puts meat in a bowl, brings it to the prep station... picks up my (already wrapped by cook) burrito that I really didnt want at this point.. because I was so grossed out .. but didnt have time to battle for a refund .. came home and fed it to my dogs and made myself some oatmeal LOL ..
