When in New Jersey, I like to get a pork roll egg and cheese sandwich. I ordered the sandwich and had to tell the waiter that I thought they made a mistake that it was just an egg and cheese. There was no pork roll. The cook said that that it's in there. I unfolded all the eggs and I did find a single slice of pork roll. For this price, I would've expected a little bit more meat. The sandwich tasted fine just a little chintzy for the price. Two or three slices of pork roll is the standard. Also, it should sit on top of the eggs and cheese. The home fries and coffee were good.. Per ChatGPT There's no legally mandated or "official" number of pork roll slices for a pork roll-egg-and-cheese (PEC) sandwich in New Jersey. It's more a question of convention, regional delis, and personal preference. However, based on recipes, diner practice, and local custom, here's what seems typical: What sources and examples suggest * One recipe ("Pork Roll Egg and Cheese") lists 2 slices of pork roll. * Another recipe from Grilled Cheese Social calls for 3 slices of pork roll. * Serious Eats, in a layering example, stacks two slices of pork roll (i.e. "pork, pork") above eggs + cheese. * In local deli practice, people often ask for "three slices" of Taylor Ham / pork roll (cut with slits so it doesn't curl) in a sandwich. For instance, in a Reddit comment: "The best way is ... 3 slices of Taylor Ham ... one fried egg ..." Reasoned "typical" recommendation Given the above, a "typical" sandwich in New Jersey would use 2 to 3 slices of pork roll, depending on: * The thickness of each slice (thin vs. thick cut) * The size of the roll or bread (how much "room" there is) * How meaty the eater likes their sandwich If I were advising you to pick a "standard" amount, I'd lean toward 3 slices of pork roll as being common and satisfying without overcrowding the sandwich.

Pretty much what most people probably expect when they are going to dine at a beach boardwalk restaurant - average, pedestrian food that you feel you are risking your health on. The decor of the restaurant is pretty blah and drab with its maroon-colored booths and the menu is just ALLLL over the place with a hodgepodge of American "favorites" OR as I'd like to call it "heart attack" food. Surprisingly, they do serve salads here, as well as wraps and veggie dishes, but the stars of the menu are on the fried or greasy side - as in - pizza, burgers, philly steaks, Italian food, gyros/souvlaki and fried seafood baskets. Since we were kind of exhausted from our day on the Wildwood Boardwalk, we pretty much had an "F-it" attitude and needed to desperately refuel. We ended up getting 2 slices of pizza (plain cheese and buffalo chicken), a mushroom cheese steak (with whiz) and a spaghetti with meatballs. As I said, the food was pretty much what you'd expect. What we thought was going to be the best thing we ordered, ended up being the worst though - and that was the pizza. The pizza slices were pretty small and weren't all that hot by the time it reached our table. However, the mushroom cheesesteak was a surprising bright spot though. It was no real Philly cheesesteak by any means, but the bread was exceptionally soft and the presentation of the steak was decent. Did we have high expectations? Absolutely not. Should you have high expectations when dining here? Absolutely not. So with that said, before sitting down, you should know what you're getting yourself into and as long as you keep those expectations realistic, you'll mostly enjoy your meal here as it's really not the worst place you can eat, even if it looks of it.

Boardwalk dining at its core - there's literally something for everyone on the menu, so don't let the randomness throw you off. Don't go in with high expectations and you won't be disappointed! Servers were attentive and quick. Food isn't bad and you get a good amount for what you pay for, especially the kid's meals. My husband loves their gyro platter, my oldest had a house salad with grilled chicken that was fresh with well seasoned chicken, and I had ravioli with meatballs - the sauce was flavorful and the meatballs, while not as good as my homemade ones were actually pretty good! We've been a few times and have also enjoyed their pizza. I wish they had breakfast available all day, but no luck there!

Got here and had a great waitress, she was very attentive to detail with everything! All of our food was very good. Price was a little high but I don't mind paying for great food. The place a very friendly and old vibe to it!

White pizza absolutely amazing, mushroom cheesesteak (I suggest asking to add fried onions) was full and delicious. This place is great food for a cheap price!

Best gyro on the boardwalk. We get gyros from there every year, sometimes twice during a 4 days vacation.

Welcome to mini-golf course #26!…read more Duffer's is now my favorite mini-golf course in the Wildwoods, and it's not because I scored a hole-in-one. Even with summer winding down, the course is in fantastic shape. It's a fun course with holes that seem to chat to you, others playing music, and one even has a volcano eruption! There's so much to see and do for kids of all ages. They don't have stairs to climb, but some holes have hidden slopes that are worth keeping an eye out for. My wife thinks there isn't much shade on the course, so people will buy ice cream, but I don't think Duffer's has that problem.

We came here around 11:30am on a Sunday. The arcade was little busy. Their price for chips was really good, I bought 120 chips for only $30. Most of the arcade games required 6-10 chips. 120 chips lasted about 15 minutes for us playing different games non stop. The arcade had good variety of games. The prize counter also had lots of prizes to redeem the winning tickets. Prizes ranged from 50 to 10,000 tickets. For our stash of only 400 tickets, the kids in our group were able to get multiple items. After the arcade we went to the ice cream store. The store looked really nice. It was only for to go, but some benches were available outside. They had about 34 different flavors and whole of different toppings. For base, cones, waffles and cups were available. We ordered two different ice creams flavors in waffle cones. The staff members assembled them right away and handed to us. They put so much ice cream and it was so hot, the ice cream started to melt and drip. So they gave us cups to hold them upside down. The ice creams had really tasty flavors. They were creamy with no icy parts. They were also very pricey, each costing around $10. But overall we all had a fun time here between the arcade and ice creams.
