Fun middle of the morning stroll on the boardwalk made me very hungry. Stopped into the Olympic Flame to get in the AC and try their breakfast offerings. I decided to go savory, ordering their Feta & Cheese omelette w/ spinach and added bacon on the side (great decision). My wife went sweet with French Toast and a side of home-fries which also came with bacon. Food was awesome, as the omelette had a great balance of feta/spinach, home-fries were very crispy (just the way I like em) and lastly the bacon was on point, crispy and delicious. Snagged a bite of the French toast and it was delicious as well, all around a great breakfast meal! Service was attentive, accurate, speedy and not invasive at all. Great little morning overall. I HATE having to do this because this is a place I've come to a million times before and things were never this bad. There was a straight up fly infestation. I would give this this a 1 star if possible because this place was horrible. If you wanted a pizza and a burger, you have to wait about 15 minutes in each line. My brother and I were starving as we hadn't eaten at all that day. We stop bye to grab a pizza and burger and when we finally order, we were rudely told that we had to go to a different line for pizza. Ended up storming off and eating at Chikies and Pete's. Perfect service and great prices! The guy who was serving us was Greek and he said he only comes to work at the Olympic Flame Restaurant for the Summers and goes back to Greece afterwards. He was the nicest guy ever and he let us try a bunch of things! Over our 3 days in WIldwood, we've ate at this place 3 times. I'm not sure how these guys are in business. Literally the worst service I've ever had. While taking my order (I am the 3rd person to order at the table), mid sentence, the waitress says "what"? I said "what, what" and she says, "oh, I thought you were talking to someone else". Seriously, I think she was high. We sat at our table for 20 minutes before someone came over and it took another 10 minutes to get 5 sodas. Our food took another 15 minutes and by then we had to ask for it to be wrapped because we had to get back to our convention. My "salad" was iceberg lettuce with onions on it and dressing on the side. The slices were edible but the pizza steak my friend had on it was burnt and had one slice of mozarella melted on top, no sauce. The two orders of chicken fingers were ok. All this for $55! Ridiculous. Avoid this hole. read more

My sister and I wanted to try this restaurant last weekend. We arrived and the hostess seated us immediately, which was great! However, we sat at our table for at least 10 minutes (my sister and I started counting) as servers passed us by left and right without a single one stopping to greet us, take our drink orders, etc. Meanwhile, all other guests including the table directly across the aisle from us were attended to multiple times. After observing this, we decided to leave. The hostess who seated us couldn't seem to be bothered by the fact that we were leaving - despite my sister explaining that we had waited a while without any server coming to assist us. She simply collected our menus and went back to having her lunch break without an apology or any expression of remorse. We happily enjoyed gyros elsewhere and we certainly do not plan to spend our money at Olympic Flame Restaurant in the future. Simply unfortunate. read more

Was on the boardwalk today looking for a bite to eat and this place seemed to have some options since the boyfriend and I didn't know what we wanted. The place was very clean and air conditioned!! We were seated right away and our server was very friendly. Since it was before 12pm they were serving breakfast and lunch which worked out perfectly for us! I ordered a slice of buffalo chicken pizza with a side of cheese fries, and he got the country omelette that comes with home fries and toast and he also ordered a side of scrapple. The food came out nice and hot and everything was very good!! We both tasted a bit of each other's meals. The scrapple was probably my favorite part. I should have asked what kind it was because it had a great texture and the flavor was delicious. The prices are also awesome!! All that food and our bill was only $19.40! They also have their own bathrooms. Would definitely go again if we head down to Wildwood in the future! read more

I recommend to avoid this place due to dirty kitchen practices I observed! I watched the grill worker (kid with glasses) handle money and the register continuously while preparing and handling food. He never changed the filthy gloves he was wearing and continued to handle sandwiches and pizza. Cooked meat was left out on counter next to grill unrefrigerated or heated, new batches of meat were added to existing container containing cold meat. That's a good way to get someone sick!! read more

100822-W-Yelp Review: Olympic Flame on the Boardwalk At the suggestion of fellow Yelp-ers, we tried the Olympic Flame restaurant on the Wildwood Boardwalk. It was a great choice. As we walked up, they were putting two fresh pizzas out. Even though there was delicious gyro meat roasting on a spit, we opted for a pizza. But to satisfy our hunger for Greek food, the four of us split a Greek salad. Fantastic. Everything was fresh, the feta was just salty enough but not overpowering, and the dressing, spot on. But the star of the meal really was the pizza. It had a unique blend of cheeses that made it pefectly stringy but kept it on the pizza, not on the plate. The sauce had a sweet touch on top of the tomato tang. We got it topped with sausage which was ground up and distributed evenly accross the pie. All together this meal for four cost under $30 including tip. A great deal for the boardwalk. Definitely recommended. read more

Not too many other restaurants on the boardwalk are as friendly as the group at the Olympic Flame. Food is good, prices are a bit on the high side but it's understandable year after year. You don't need to worry about the staff as they are pretty attentive to your specific table as well as the other ones. I typically have the gyro platter or order pizza slices read more

My son and his class mates were recently here for breakfast Saturday morning around 11:53 am and were spoken to poorly by the staff. His girlfriend ordered a large OJ and they were brought smalls, and when they asked for a correction they were told to not to be a pain in the ass they added gratuity to their bill which idk if that's a thing there, but they didn't deserve it with the way they treated the kids. It was prom weekend and I know that brings business I also know that when they're young they can be loud and annoying because they're young, that still doesn't give the staff the right to treat them rude and disrespectful and cursing them, that's a no no! People wonder why the youth is disrespectful because the ones who should lead by example are disrespectful to them! However my son and his friends are a great group of young men and women and this was not warranted. Customer service must be a thing of the past these days! Fast and friendly service. We arrived at 11AM and they had no problem making me a gyro when lunch wasn't being served until 11:30. The rest of my family ordered French toast, croissant sandwiches and my husband asked for several changes to his breakfast sandwich. All requests were easily accepted. Having gone to the Olympic Flame for meals every September for the firemens convention, I'm sorry to say, this will be the last time I and anyone in my group will eat there. Food was good, typical diner fare, service was just OK. The worst part?? the 2% firefighters convention tax, as it was put to me and my wife when we asked about it. The woman behind the counter said, and I quote, " I pay tax, so you to should pay tax." Well, next year she won't have to worry about me paying.
