Opened the box to just a slice of bread and chicken, not really what you'd call a sandwich. Went back in, and they got it fixed but that wasn't the end of it. We ate the seafood buffet on Fri. night. The catfish steaks were good for the most part - part of mine was not cooked all the way. The ribs, cobbler, and bread pudding were dry. I made a great looking salad from the salad bar, but the rancid blue cheese dressing ruined it. Also the pasta salad and cole slaw tasted as though they were bad too. For $16.99 we expected better. It was not good at all! The salad bar wasn't prepped or had not been freshened up in a while, and we walked in there at 5:30 on a Friday. The food off the buffet wasn't very good at all and it was so hot it put blisters in my mouth (I honestly think they didn't refill or refresh it and had the water setting on extremely hot so people would think it was fresher). I've worked on a salad bar and food bar and at all 3 meals we made sure everything was fresh and ready to eat at all 3 meals. read more

My wife and I just ate here for dinner this evening. It was our first time here. All of our Christmas errands, etc, were done, so we decided to take a ride and try somewhere we had not been to before. The first thing you learn is that this place is NOT A STEAKHOUSE!!! I did not ask to see if it was in the past. This a buffet / sandwich / steak / seafood restaurant. Tonight (Wednesday) was $9.99+ tax per person for the buffet, so we said yes because our stomachs were growling. The menu is modest, but they have mostly favorites most people like. We had no way to know if the help here on the 23rd of December was their "A" crew or inexperienced volunteers. The service was severely lacking, nonetheless. We got the buffet because after receiving our water promptly, the menus arrived after I was half finished with my first plate of food. My wife looked at the menu (as did I), and no longer felt like waiting. Most (90%) of the items on the buffet were cooked nicely and in good shape. The beef tips were a bit hard, but the rice to go with it was excellent. The "Salisbury Steaks" were of unknown origin!! A favorite of mine, "Mac and Cheese" tasted more like "Mac and salty Velveeta." All of the vegetables were good, especially the Brussels Sprouts. The only exception was the corn. It looked rough and I'm not crazy enough to try and chew it. The pre-portioned desserts were fairly decent. The pies were all nice, kids were enjoying the ice cream dispenser and the pseudo-cheesecake was OK. The one disappointment here was the Red Velvet Cake. The thin slices were so dry, we could hit it with the heavy end of our knife and not put a dent in it!!! We felt like taking a ride and travelled through several counties to try this place. It was OK. Would we venture out again just to come here, maybe, but not any time soon. Is it worth stopping to eat here if you're rolling by on US 412? Yes, we believe it is. The buffet is a great price. Everything was good. There were lots of veggies to choose from. Salad bar had everything. They did not have a sugar free desert but I was told sometimes they have a cheesecake. My daughter loved the peach cobbler. Our other favorites were the fish, Brussel sprouts and Mac n cheese. There is sanitizer when you enter the door. If your worried about everyone touching the spoons you should carry sanitizer with you to use after you get your food. Small town. Locally owned. Service was wonderful. The wait staff we're tentative had no issues here. The facility was clean and very pleasant. The dish I ordered was chicken Monterey with fresh grilled vegetables. While the chicken was tasty slightly too salty for my taste. Temp was good. The fresh vegetables I feel were mushy more like maybe over steamed or boiled for the softer veggies. Certainly not grilled. The green beans and carrots (harder veggies) were ok but the balance were well overdone. Stopped on my way to Nashville. Conveniently located on the highway. Lots of parking. Came on Mother's Day and there was an open buffet. Wasn't very busy and I was seated immediately. Very disappointed that there was no steak. Had I know, I probably would not have stopped. Other than that disappointment, the food was good and the staff is friendly. The $9 price is certainly right. I went with an old friend to have lunch today. I was not impressed that it was all buffet, but the food was very unimaginative--bland. We were seated, brought a tea-like water drink and what I hope was clean utensils. There was almost-meatless spaghetti, something resembling Hamburger Helper, a few vegetables, 3-4 kinds of dry chicken, a wilted salad bar and tiny, disgusting little bits of what should have been dessert. Covid Scary. I stopped at the Olympic Steak House on my way to Jackson, Tn because I saw several billboards and the food looked good. I walked in and the girls at the front desk had masks on but they were not covering their nose. I then noticed it is not truly a steakhouse but a buffet. Everywhere I have been that is normally a buffet has covid rules now that does not allow customers to serve themselves and masks must be worn by employees and customers until the employee sits down to eat. Several of the tongs were laying all the way in the salad bar food options. The sneeze guards definitely were not going to prevent people breathing or sneezing/coughing on the salad bar. No customers were required to wear masks around the salad bar. I should have left but i decided maybe the buffet would be better. It was all warm, not hot food. I think some of it had been out for awhile. This was around 7pm so maybe they don't replace it. There were about 6 meat options and I would guess 8 or so veggie/carb options. There was soup but it wasn't labeled. There were desserts that looked like an afterthought. By the time I sat down with my food, the waitresses and register people had their masks either off or around their chin. There was a gentleman visiting with tables with his mask covering just his chin, I assume he is the manager or owner. After about 15 min of trying to eat and ignore a lot of careless behavior, I decided it was best for me to forget eating and leave. I tried to pay as quick as I could but the gentleman rushed up to me and asked why I didn't eat anything and if I wanted a togo box. At this point, he has two others behind the checkout counter, nobody covering their faces. An additional customer also standing there with no mask trying to talk to us too, she said she would eat my food. I wish I wasn't a high risk person and I wish I didn't have to travel this week for work so I wouldn't have to experience situations like this. Unfortunately, I have no way of knowing what kind of covid safety is being practiced until it's too late. If you don't care about masks or keeping yourself safe from unsafe people, this is the place for you. Food was cheap and would have been much better if heated up more. Don't know if "steakhouse" is the correct name for this restaurant. The main attraction here is the enormous buffet. It is good old fashioned southern cooking featuring fried and baked fish, hot wings, ribs and fried and baked chicken and lots of vegetables. There was also peel and eat shrimp, frog legs and crab legs, a salad bar and dessert bar plus soft serve ice cream. It was a Friday night and another customer said they have all the seafood on that night only. It was clean and the food is reasonably priced. We went here because it was the closest place to the safari park to grab something to eat. It was buffet-style, but I didn't really like anything that I saw. The desserts were just so so comma the meat looks questionable all the way had friends that tried it and said it was good. The mashed potatoes were very good and a salad bar is pretty decent too. The price was $9 which is a little pricey for just the salad bar then I ate. I was excited to try this place being new to Bells. The food was really terrible. The service was great but just can't get over the food being so bad. It's buffet style which we were aware of. They have a pretty massive selection. It just tasted very much like food service type food. We've been here over a year and have not been back. First time here on the way to Nashville. Entered about 8:15 pm.. They close at 9:00 pm. Greeted by friendly staff as they were sweeping and gearing down to close. They serve buffet all day and we noticed they had Prime rib on this Saturday night. We ordered and they delivered a great dinner. The owner came out and greeted us and we thanked him for making our prime rib knowing they were closing. I'm a singer/entertainer in California and left her a great tip as well as a copy of my CD.. If you like to eat food that is supposed to be hot but isn't then this is the place for you. For ONLY $15/person on a Friday night you get very limited options and mediocre quality. The service was average at best and probably only this good because the place was almost completely empty. This place is horrible I got a stake and it tasted like fake meat and they never came to check on anybody so if ran out of something you would have to get it yourself and the popcorn shrimp. The hospitality was 100% the best part about our visit. The food was not all that great. We came in on a weds it wasn't all too busy that it looked, and we hit the buffet (dinner was 8.94) kids ate free so we couldn't beat that. I think everything was pre made or boxed.
