This is the most poorly run PT office I have ever been to. I have gone through entire visits…read morewithout any assistance from the aides who are supposed to assist and monitor you with your exercises, I've had to read my own chart & do everything on my own. I'm not exactly sure what my co-pay is covering because I could do all of this by myself at a gym. Dr. James is a fine PT but you don't see him unless you pay $20 on top of your copay for "hands on care." That means I could go an entire appointment without any professional oversight or support. I've talked to the front desk and asked if there are better times to come into the office so I could have any assistance during my appointment. The short answer is "no." The reason being is that they have an open door walk-in policy, so there is no safe appointment time where you can receive any guaranteed care and know that you can complete your appointment in under 75-90 minutes.

My kids went while they were in high school, whether they needed help with sports-related injuries or general back issues. We have all had such positive experiences there, and my entire family loves Core. The assistants to the therapists are also wonderful to deal with and very good at what they do. One of the things I especially appreciate about Core is that they recruit and accept students and graduates from various programs throughout the city, giving them the opportunity to gain valuable experience and further develop their skills. I think it's wonderful that Core supports the community in this way while helping develop the next generation of professionals in the field. The experience extends beyond the therapists as well. Vanessa, who handles the front office, is always such a pleasure to deal with. She is friendly, accommodating, and incredibly helpful. She even remembers to call me when there is a cancellation if she knows I'm looking for an additional appointment, which I really appreciate. Another thing I really appreciate about Core Conditioning is that they accept insurance, which can be so important when you need ongoing physical therapy. I personally have Blue Shield, and the entire insurance process has always been easy and seamless. I've never had to worry about it, which makes the overall experience that much better. I should've paid attention to some of the red flags. They are very limited classes. Sometimes you logon in the class is canceled. I could not find anything on their website that tells you how long a class is good for or a package if you buy one, and how soon you have to cancel your reservation without penalty. I tried to call the Burbank location multiple times but never got a person to speak with. So I went ahead and bought one class. I scheduled that class for Saturday morning at 8:30. Showed up at 8:18. I buzzed the door to get in. The first 10 seconds was silence. A lady that was working there that buzzed me in was doing a private with someone else. She asked who I was there for because she was the only one there that day. I proceeded to tell her that I was signed up for the 830 class. She told me she was unaware of one. I then apologetically said oh let me look at my app to make sure I didn't get the day and time wrong. I opened up the app and the class is now marked is canceled. No notification in the app, no email, no phone call, nothing. Just canceled without warning. The lady offered no apology. Just told me they send notifications through the app (they didn't) I always find it quite frustrating that you penalize customers for not canceling within a certain time period but you don't give the same respect to your patrons. I sent an email on Saturday, and got a response on Tuesday that my request for the payment to be credited back to my account would be granted, along with an acknowledgment of the instructor not sending a message out in the app. The person also did offer an apology. It's a very poor way to do business. It was a horrible first impression and I will never go back here. I hope they use this to do better for future customers.

This was my first experience with colon hydrotherapy. I had previously tried detox programs based on liquids and supplements, but personally, I had never experienced anything quite like this. What impressed me most was actually being able to see what was being eliminated from my intestines. It can be embarrassing to talk about, but it is simply part of our body's natural digestive process. I also learned more about *Candida*, a fungus that naturally inhabits our bodies but can cause problems if it overgrows. There is much debate regarding *Candida*, toxins, and their relationship to our overall health; this made me realize the importance of paying attention to digestive health. My first session was with Dr. Keiko and she was so lovely to work with. She was thorough and gentle during the entire session. I enjoyed my interactions with her and felt positive with my treatment plan she created for me. I've been seeing Dr. Keiko consistently for 4 months now. The random aches and pains of pregnancy have been manageable with her guidance and care. She continues to provide me with the necessary exercises/stretches to do at home to nourish my ability to manage those aches and pains on my own. Generally, I have it under control, but when it flares, it flares. The PT exercises and other tools I typically used to manage it were no longer really helping. Enter Myo and Dr. Bahar Gord. Right from the first assessment, she was so attentive and really listened to my concerns. She watched my movement and honed in immediately on what was plaguing me and saw the full picture, not just the one issue. I told her I already had an arsenal of exercises -- the typical core, glute, hip flexor approaches and that I was looking for something that would be complimentary. She immediately saw something deeper and ever since, she has been incredible. I have learned a whole new set of PT exercises and an approach to the deep core that I had been missing from prior exercises (which aren't wrong or bad, they just weren't getting to the core of the issue. See what I did there? Lolzzz). Anywho, Bahar is a body mechanics master. She introduced a range of new exercises and a focus on deep core modalities to retrain my entire physiology.
