They kept the car for over four weeks and could not diagnose three out of three problems I was having. I finally picked it up, and my neighbor referred me to René at action imports. I made an appointment with Rene and dropped off the car on a Monday morning at 8:30 AM... Within two hours he had called me and diagnosed all three problems with an exact estimate. I was traveling on Business and he agreed to keep the car for the entire five days until I returned. I picked up the car and everything was fixed. I was very happy. It's a 24-year-old BMW so of course, it always needs a wrench, turned or two :-) I dropped it off again this morning with René and I've already had the exact same experience. Ice Cold Air TOTALLY ROCKS. I ended up going to them the…read morefirst time. The 2nd week of June. Because, I had gotten a HORRIBLE quote of $4,000 from another garage. Supposedly, I needed both my evaporator core and my compressor replaced. Along with a supposal oil leak I had. I was EXTREMELY upset by time I got to Ice Cold Air. I asked if I could get a quote on my AC. I explained what happened at the first place. And what needed replaced. Along with an oil leak. I was quoted $2,200 compared to the $4,000 quote. I was happy with their quote needless to say. I came back the 3rd week of June. Because, I was concerned about the oil leak After the tech looked at my car. Along with changing my oil. I was told my engine is dry. And there were NO leaks. Go FREAKING figure. They also looked at the evaporator core and the compressor. I was told ONLY the evaporator core needed replaced. REALLY???? So, the first place I went to. Tried to shake me down for $4,000 Telling me I needed the compressor replaced. Along with the evaporator core. When there was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with the compressor. And an oil leak I NEVER had. I guess they thought I just fell off the turnip truck. And I had no clue what was going on with my car. NOT I came back to Ice Cold Air on the 4th week of June to drop off my car. So, I could have them replace the evaporator core. I also joined their Car Care Club for $95. Which saved me a lot of money in the end. Along with the free oil change. I picked up my car the 2nd day. The GRAND TOTAL was $1.961 They had taken 20% plus off of my TOTAL. Along with the $95 for their Car Care Club. Ice Cold Air TOTALLY ROCKS Especially, because they don't take advantage of women. Which speaks volumes. They called me to tell me they reassembled the car without fixing it or calling to ask if I wanted to order the parts. When I asked manager, he tells me I can bring the parts in next time? Auto repair shop that doesn't order parts? Wish I had read all the bad reviews first, not sure how this operation stays in business. There won't be a next time after wasting my time with poor service.
