Run don't stop - order the mango red curry and the avocado green curry. You will thank us. We live near Carpinteria. It takes driving down a mountain, 20 miles on a windy road to reach this place. Its always worth the drive. If one of their daily specials shows Khalid soi offered, get it too. My husband loved it so much he tried to make it the next night. To be honest, I wasn't expecting a whole lot as the SO and I were just beginning our road trip and we already felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, but Yelp has done us well once again! The flavors were SO GOOD and although the appearance of the dishes were pretty normal, I couldn't believe the party in my mouth with the perfectly cooked noodles and tantalizing flavors. I wish I got to try the pad thai as the pad see ewe and khao soi were so good! This will definitely be a returning spot for us if we are ever back in the area! read more

From a recommendation of a gym acquaintance, my friend & I came here because we were craving Thai and were in the Ojai area. We were just in time for their lunch specials at $6.95 which includes a salad or soup, an entree and rice. My friend ordered the silver noodle entree which was light and flavorful and I had the pineapple curry which was sweet and tangy. The salad served beforehand was delicious too with their peanut dressing. Of course we ordered Thai iced tea with our meal and it's funny because a restaraunt patron passed by asking us what it was because it looked good lol Our luncheon total came up less than $20 which was great because we had excellent Thai food, Thai iced tea and awesome customer service :) Too bad the lesson learned today is not to have curry before going hiking lol read more

Me and my wife came in to visit the town for a day, and we came in late. This establishment was open and took us in close to their closing time. They got our orders quickly , and the food came out fast as well. They were very nice, and took their time to explain the menu to us. The food was amazing, I had the yellow curry w/ tofu, my wife the cashew nut with tofu. Both were amazing 10/10 , the egg rolls , salad dressing yummy as well. Now let me say this, I LOVE THAI FOOD. I've had Thai food and it's a hit or miss usually with most Thai resteraunts for me. But wow, this place blew me away with the cashew nut chicken, veggie pad Thai and the veggie spring rolls. All 3 items a 5 out of 5 stars. Plus the woman who works the register and orders is the sweetest woman ever. Great service. I live in Oxnard so best believe I will be making the 30 min drive to eat here. Yummo! A girlfriend picked up Panang Curry and Pad See U for a much needed lunch date, both dishes with tofu. She brought them not too far down the road and it traveled really well. She also brought along a Thai Iced Tea, one of my lifelong favorite treats! Definitely NOT low in fat but worth a few a year! This was my first time eating Om Thai as I left Ojai almost a decade ago due to the heat, but am back now, closer to Oak View and look forward to testing out more of their menu. It was a dark and rainy night. Then a Thai restaurant appears in front of me. Not knowing anything about it, I took a risk because I was dying for pad Thai. It was delicious. While I would've liked more peanuts on it, the chicken was tender, and the rice noodles were that perfect combination of chewy and light. The crab Rangoon was crispy and add the cream cheese, just a bit of tanginess. The pork buns were good, although they weren't quite as sweet as barbecued pork typically is. The side salad that came with it had a very bland, almost mayonnaise-y dressing. Yuck. There is a salad dressing that is typically on a Thai side salad that is sweet and light and creamy without the oily feel of this one. That's the only thing I wouldn't recommend, otherwise I recommend Om Thai very highly. read more

I got the Pangang Cury with chicken and the drunken noodles with fried tofu. I have previously had the pad see ew and I prefer the drunken noodles because there are more vegetables (mushrooms, onion, red/green bell pepper). I love the fried tofu because it's soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The pa gang cury has green beans, red/green bell pepper. The curys flavor is great. The best Thai in the valley! Om Thai has become a staple at our house since moving to Ojai. I've never had anything less than delicious. I could live off of the panang curry. Food is decent for a local oak View restaurant and I'm grateful for its existence here where there are very few options. The staff are very nice people. The Tom Yum soup could be better. The coconut soup is the better option. I ordered the Tom yum to go and it didn't have any of the traditional ingredients such as galangal, kefir lime, or lemongrass to make it the real thing.
