Awful. I wanted my boyfriend to try Thai for the first time. My usuals were closed and one was no longer in business so we settled here. We ordered yellow curry and it was very bland. I was bummed he didn't enjoy it but looked forward to him trying the chicken pad Thai. Immediately upon grabbing a fork full, it smelled very off, like dog food. I said something out loud to him and he immediately agreed with me, it smelled exactly like the dog food he'd fed his dogs for years! We literally left the whole bowl untouched. The waitress also never came over to offer refills or check in.

We are very picky when it comes to Thai food, but the flavors and portions of this restaurant were amazing. We got the Yellow Curry with Vegetables because we are both vegan, SO MANY VEGETABLES. SO COOL! We also got the Pad Thai with vegetables. Again, so much food we were in HEAVEN. We also tried their Thai iced tea and my son tried the Green Thai iced tea. Both were amazing. So glad we tried this place out. Our new favorite spot!

Food was $25 total for a root beer and daily special which included red chicken curry, rice, their tofu vegetable soup, a tempura, chicken gyoza and spring roll. The red curry was absolutely delicious and had a hint of sweetness to it with the spice, 5/5!

I ordered their beef pad see ew and it was a total disappointment. First time I ate here was 3.5 years ago and their food didn't disappoint. Food came out fresh with great flavor...now I feel like their food quality is slowly declining. The noodles are clumped up and mushy. Barely any veggies and it just didn't have the char/smokey flavor you get when noodles are cooked on a hot wok. I give these noodles 1/5...so mushy, lacks flavor and integrity.

Ever since I discovered this place, I come / order atleast once a week.. everything I've ever ordered has been amazing. Noodles, fried rice, wings, soups.. amazing. My favorite Thai spot in Ventura County. Truly worth a try. Service is always great, and we're always greeted with a smile. It's a nice and clean establishment. I can't wait for my next meal here. Btw the mango sticky rice... absolutely amazing.

We visited Jasmine Thai this last Sunday for lunch. We were a good size group and we were taken care of so quickly, the gal waiting on us did such a great job. Really everyone of us so enjoyed what we each ordered. The menu has so many really good food choices, the restaurant was clean. I ordered Pumpkin Curry because that is one of my favorites. It was very good, I would definitely order it again. A great local business.

Here your treated like family. Excellent food and service. Mom is cooking delicious meals in the kitchen , so yummy & tasty. We just love this restaurant so much. Some of the very best Thai food in town.

Chefs Fried Rice $25.95. Only 4 shrimp and not fully deshelled. And barely any crab. Overpriced and poor preparation. 0/5

A bit of a mixed experience. Service was slow and the server seemed apathetic. It looked like we beat the dinner rush but it still took a while to get our orders. One dish came much earlier than another, with drinks somewhere in between. The delay on the drinks might have had something to do with the boba in our Thai teas, which was still warm but also very hard, probably undercooked. It was pretty much inedible which was disappointing. The tea itself was just fine. My dad said his Pad Thai was a bit mushy, but my food was pretty good. I ordered drunken noodles with chicken at spice level 4. They were among the top 5 for Thai restaurants I've had, though they do face stiff competition from my top 3, two of which are also less expensive. The spice level was also a lot less intense than what I expected from reading reviews. If you know that you can typically handle spice I'd recommend level 4 or even 5, which I'll have to try at some point. However, it's not particularly likely I'll choose this one again soon over some other less expensive, friendlier, and more consistent options in the county. read more

I came in on a Sunday afternoon to order something takeout... I've also ordered through GrubHub in the past. Very friendly service! They have the best chicken satay! Very generous portion! My husband loved the screaming tiger steak! The reason for my four stars are not five is because the steak is extremely overpriced for the size that they give you! Highly recommend! read more

Food is excellent, service very good, ambience is moderate, somewhat plain. They have an extensive menu including standard Thai dishes and items from other East Asian countries. I had the miso ramen and it was delicious. My husband ordered from the "mix and match" special menu and loved his choices. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Sloppy Stingy Unshelled Shrimp. Paid $25.95 for the Chef's Fried Rice which is Shrimp & Crab. There were 4 shrimp. Four. And they were not fully shelled. Having to pick through fried rice is messy and even when you take off the tail shells there were fragments in the rice. Worse than only 4 shrimp, there was not a single lump of crab and w tiny amount of stringy crab meat. A total ripoff. Yellow curry is easy to make and the orange chicken was good but the full size portion was noticeably small, barely a lunch portion. read more

This place used to be my goto place for Thai food. They had large portions and at a good price but its changed. The vegetable tofu ( vegan soup) was made with chicken broth a n d had pieces of chicken floating in it. After we told the server she informed us that chicken broth is vegan. Everyone has different taste so I am always hesitant to review as someone else might love this place. For me, this was much too spicy. I specifically said mild or no spice. The pineapple rice had lots of red chili flecks which made it very hot and burned my mouth. I have never had pineapple rice like that. The chicken didn't really seem good quality either. I couldn't eat it and threw it away. My husband said his orange chicken was ok. read more

I'm surprised by the iffy reviews! Ordered pick up here for the first time ever and was blown away - me and my husband loved it! I got the panang curry with duck, and my husband got the duck curry. Give this place a try!! I'm limited on what foods I may have for medical reasons. How wonderful to find a place that held you tailor your meals according to your needs. Try the purple rice with veggies and grilled chicken. It was so flavorful, tender, and juicy. An added bonus is that they provide nice sized portions so you have a snack for later on or next day. Very sad but true story... new owners- bad food, same name but didn't fool me! Ordered our usuals- mine was PadKeMow with tofu, medium hot. Appetizer of crab Rangoon came out- hard as a rock but greasy... I asked the waitress if there is a new owner- she said "yes, over a year ago". My husband got his panang curry (light yellow?) and flavorless while I awaited my entree for 10 more minutes. It finally arrived as a bowl of mushy/stuck together noodles with uncooked green bell peppers- so spicy I could hardly get it down... nasty! I asked if the Rangoon was frozen and they admitted yes...My favorite 20yr tai food is no longer at Jasmine! So sad read more

Placed online order at 6:06, estimated wait time was 28 minutes. Went to pick it up a little after 6:30, and it wasn't ready until 7:03. Not a big deal, they were busy and sometimes online order estimates can be inaccurate (not the restaurant's fault). However, when my girlfriend called to ask about a menu item being gluten free (gluten allergy), the man on the phone said "yes" and then immediately hung up. Lowkey kind of funny, but not very polite. We had to wait 10 minutes to be acknowledged when we walked in, and waited for about 20 more minutes for the order to be finished. The employees were busy, but that's not an excuse to be rude. The food was okay. Not bad, but not worth the price, wait, or subpar service. Pretty disappointing, as I remember this place being delicious. Unfortunately, I would not recommend, and will not be returning because of the poor service. read more

I will say the Pad Thai was a bit on the sweeter side however--just keep that in mind for taste preference. It's this reason that the fried rice was both of our favorite dishes, as its savory umami flavor paired so well with the pork. I could've eaten an entire plate by myself! Service took a bit long to get our food, but they were very kind nonetheless. We will be returning, and we can't wait to try other dishes like their soups and curry!

Personally, I'd try another meat to add to my wok if I ordered the wok again. Lastly, once the server appeared, she came back to check on us frequently, refilled water orders, brought out food, and dropped off the check. This is definitely a nice place to have lunch or dinner and then take a walk along the beach.

I must add, as were sharing these dishes, the server neglected to bring additional plates and a serving ladle for the soup. So my hubby had to go inside find someone and request the serving utensils for both dishes, plates and eating utensils for sharing. So we waited again. Not sure what folks ate that gave a five star review . What we experienced fell a couple notches below that rating. Would I return? Probably not, there are better options in Ventura.

I really used to like this place and after bragging to my family about it, we end up having one of the worst experiences of customer service I have ever experienced. Firstly, the Waitress was RUDE, and had horrible Customer Service. Drinks were not refilled and two of us didn't get drinks at all, even after we reminded our waitress multiple times. Every time she was reminded she had an attitude & that she'll get it. It never came. My dad's food came out cold then we asked if they can warm it up in the microwave, she forgot about it, and when she brought it again, it was just as cold. My cousin never received his food, although he kept asking. We finally finished our food and he tells the waitress just cancel. She said oh it's done brings the food out and we said we don't want it. We are done eating already. She says it's on the house. We have her put it to go. We get our receipt & we are charged a gratuity of 18% which normally is not an issue because we were a party more then 6. I did mention to the waitress if we can get the 18% taken off the bill due to all the issues we had. She told the owner & they refused & said they already gave us a free dish. I said we canceled that dish and that got a free dish which we did not want & we canceled. The owner proceeded to tell us if I want the 18% taken off she will but next time we should find another restaurant & we are not welcome back. I said that is fine & I will be leaving a Yelp Review... For that rude response, I didn't leave her waitress any tip. read more

I have tried several things off their menu and haven't been disappointed yet. Among the things I have tried including Crunchy Cashew, Nutty Spicy with Spicy stir-fry with zucchini, onion, bell pepper, dried chili, and roasted peanuts. Also I like the Appetizers that include Crispy Veggie Rolls and Spinach Dumplings. The owner cooks, and servers all make an awesome effort to make sure you have a great dining experience. Jasmine Thai is one of those places that are great for both lunch and dinner also if you are on a business Lunch or out to dinner with family it is an all around nice place in Ventura to go to if you are a pro foodie read more

As others have said, this place used to be very good. Took my kids to dinner there and the food wasn't right. Wrong spiciness, wrong meat, just edible. I'm not sure the new owners are even Thai; I got no reaction when I greeted them in Thai (lived there for five years). Not a typical Thai response to a friendly farang. Restaurant was nearly empty on a Saturday at prime time. To add insult to injury, they charged an 18% service fee for three people by entering "6" people at the register. Sadly, we will have to eat elsewhere. read more

I went back with my mom so she could try the thai food and the food was still great, but the service made me rethink my 5-star rating. The waitress was not very friendly. After we finished our meal, the servers stood staring at us and made us really uncomfortable. It looked like they wanted us to leave, but there were plenty of free tables around, otherwise we would have left sooner to leave room for other diners. I was disappointed. read more

This place is absolute garbage. It lacks any real flavor and is just sugar on sugar. Chicken was just swimming in watery sauce, and noodles we're flavorless. Sawdasi(I probably spelled that wrong), on Johnson is way superior, and I believe the price is better. This is Thai food like Panda Express is Chinese food, but awful. read more

I didnt say anything to them.. but disappointed that they are not using fresh ingredients. . I have been a consecutive customer coz their food are tasty.
