When I walked in the guys up front were super friendly and said they could take care of it if I gave them a bit. They were very busy in there and still took the time to take care of me and got me out of there within the hour. They didn't even charge me. Jeff Johnson was great to work with! He was very friendly and down to earth and I could tell they were honest. Took my son's car in December 2025 for oil leak. Was charged $1300 to replace oil pan sensor and brake sensor. February 2026 still leaking oil. They had the car over a week, because they stated they had ill employees, and they also didn't have the tool necessary to repair it; they also couldn't get the oil light off, "no matter what the computer specialist tried ". Another $1100. After bringing it home, the remote start no longer works. It is barely mid March, car is still leaking oil, and now the car is struggling to accelerate. I'm severely disappointed and tired of having to bring it back. It's a 2016 Chevy Malibu, a fairly common car, so I would think the "ASE certified technicians" they boast about on their advertisements would be able to figure out how to repair simple issues such as oil leak would be a simple fix. So after almost a year. My Chevrolet equinox doesn't get a full tank of gas. I don't know how you guys installed my new fuel tank . But it was not done right. At a quarter tank of gas it just runs out. Still won't be back. Just had to give an update . Usually a place would call to make things better and right. But not these guys. I've been here twice and will never go back. Didn't feel great about my experience the first time but tried them again recently. Went in for one thing and was told I needed some basic maintenance done which ended up costing me a ridiculous amount. Then I was told the mechanic accidentally hit a hose so I would have to come back when the part was in. While I sat in the waiting room waiting to get that fixed, I witnessed them being rude to several customers. When I went to pick up the keys on the counter assuming the service was free since it was their error, the guy slid the keys closer to him and said I needed to settle with them. What? He was a jerk and charged me for the part and was so unprofessional! Should have know better after the first time. read more

I have heard in the past that Omaha Car Care was a good place to take a car for repair. Well don't believe everything you hear. My car broke down in Ashland and I had it towed to the Omaha Car care on South 144th. They diagnosed it with a bad starter. I was kind of committed to having it fixed there so I said fix it. The quoted me almost a thousand dollars and I paid it. After doing some research I found that I was way over charged. I will not be taking my car back to them or any other Omaha Car Care. Bottom line, avoid them. read more

I never had to post on yelp or leave a review ever in my life but felt like this was necessary because of how dissatisfied I am with Omaha car care. Long story short * Avoid omaha car care and shop around for the best price b4 going here. I took my car in here to fix and they promised me it was safe to drive and it broke down on me more then once right after I left the shop and they claimed that they "fixed my car" and I've brought it back to them 3 times for them to still not be able to fix the problem with my car. One of the Managers was passive aggressive and rude while he held a smile and acted professional at the sametime. He Pretty much shut me off and killed me with kindness to try and get me out the door and stop me from complaining about how they didn't fix my car. They proceeded to make excuses on fixing my car and said "I don't wanna throw parts at it. Trade it in." And proceeded to tell me nobody in the whole shop could fix my car. I looked around and Went somewhere else and they fixed my car no problem. Omaha car care up charges and taxes hard on there prices. I personally will never go back to Omaha care car. they already got enough of my hard earned money just to not fix my car and tell me to trade it in. I feel ripped off honestly. I also took my girlfriends car in for them to look at for them to tell me that it's not worth fixing and to trade it in and that it would cost me easily 9 to 10 thousand to fix the car but I was able to find better prices half of what they were trying to charge me just by calling shops around and finding the best price read more

I was quoted a price over the phone and was offered a loaner (Sure, it had the company logo plastered all over the car but hey, it was clean and got me home). Drop it off at 7am and it should be ready in a couple of hours; said they would call if they find anything else that needed attention. They did call and gave me a short list of other things which couldn't wait. Radiator hoses and the like. I didn't feel I was being pressured into the upcharges. They explained everything and what it meant to the car if we replaced or left it alone. I made the decision to have everything on the list completed. The car was ready in a few hours after that! Quick service! I was prepared for the car to be gone all day. I picked up the car and asked about the 6 month interest free financing, since I was close to a thousand dollars in repairs (Not bad for an almost 10 year old car) I should be able to get 12 months. I was approved for the 12 months interest free financing. I left the shop with a good feeling and a well serviced car. My car is a lease but the Not Husband's is the Suzuki and we have found our new mechanic! read more

I bought 4 tires and full tune up 10/2022. It was $3000 worth of work. So my first tire blew out on I80 in the BUSY section of omaha. They said it wasn't covered because it blew out on the side! So 100% defective. Hit nothing and ran over nothing. Just BOOM and that reason is going to get a lot more credit. So I CALMLY said I will just take my business elsewhere. Got a call back saying they would make an exception and cover and only charge me $60 labor. Ok fine....$60 flushed. 2 weeks later I'm driving down 42nd st with my 2 littlest kids and ......BOOM...SAME TIRE.....on The side AGAIN. These are Toyo $250 a piece tires btw. I didn't even go through the whole event again with Omaha Car Care Center....this time....yep it is going to happen again. Anyhoo I went to Firestone on L st for one. They have a warranty that covers the WHOLE tire. ( I am not rage texting btw :) just highlighting keys words.) so 2 weeks later I'm with my son after dropping off the daughter at a bday party and I hear a clicking that I think is a rock in the tire. I get out to knock it out and noper it's a bolt through the tire. Wowzer. I'm pretty sure these tires can't repel a tick. I went back to occc because this is on tread and completely covered by warranty Only 2000 miles on these. So the front desk guy was SO put off. I explained the last one I didn't even bring to him. Said it would be a few days. I work. I commute. Not a plausible idea on a spare. I explained I would go somewhere else and he was relieved. No yelling. No bs By me. Frustrating but composed. I get it all repair shops have their shortcomings and no place is even close to perfect. Omaha car care center DOESNT CARE AT ALL! In fact totally put off on an obvious defective set of tires. I feel the need to write this to warn people not to waste their $$$$$$$$$! DO NOT GO TO OMAHA CAR CARE COMPANY ON CENTER STREET! My 3rd major visit there and I'm paying through the nose with time and money. I never write reviews like this but they deserve it. read more

I went in for a oil change. A 55$ fee no problem. As I sat in the lobby I over heard customers getting calls about there vehicles with outrageous prices to fix there vehicles. When my vehicle was done they had done an overall inspection on my vehicle saying I needed an thermostat housing unit for my vehicle I left with just an estimate for the repair. I called the dealer and Omaha Car Care prices were much more than the dealer which was odd since the dealer is usually more expensive. About a year ago my boyfriend had a problem with his truck and same thing happened to him the price to fix his vehicle was much cheaper going to the dealer than Omaha Car Care. Definitely check prices somewhere else before having any vehicle work done 1st. Prices are cheaper elsewhere most of the time. I personally will never go back to Omaha Car Care again. read more

I Came here for an Oil change (with a 19.99) coupon. I asked for my tires to be rotated, which is done free or a 8.95 charge with oil changes. They charged me 40.00 for the tire rotation. Consequently my oil change ended up totaling $66.55 They had a list of things they felt that needed to be done to my car. Later I took my car to my regular mechanic and he gave me a price that was less than half for repairs listed. I have never had been charged for washer solvent with an oil change. In fact I check my washer solvent weekly so I will not run out! I will NEVER use this business again and most of all I will let every one that I know how I feel about their business practices . read more

I have a two year old car with 38,000 miles that has just recently run out of the free dealership oil changes and servicing. I am going on a long road trip this weekend (approximately 3500 miles) and wanted to make sure the tires were looking good for the trip since I did my own oil change and hadn't had a mechanic look at the car. I assumed I would need to rotate them so I went to Omaha Car Care to get them serviced. A young man came out, looked at my tires and told me that they looked even enough where a tire rotation was not needed. He just advised me to keep an eye on the tire pressure and wished me a safe trip. I suppose I wasn't really serviced by them, but I wanted to recognize them for their honesty and politeness - aspects of mechanics I usually run into conflicts with, particularly because I am a girl. I would recommend Omaha Car Care if you want to make sure that you are working with an honest company that won't try to profit off of the lack of mechanical knowledge of their customers. read more

I brought my car here yesterday because my temperature gauge had been indicating my car was running very hot. They wanted to wait until the car had a chance to cool down before looking at it, so they were kind enough to give me a ride home. About 2 hours later, I got a call with what showed on the diagnostic test and their very thorough checklist. Was it rather expensive? Somewhat - but considering this is a 14 year old car with original parts and has had very little work done on it, this wasn't so bad. I felt what they charged was reasonable and customary. And the next day, they provided a ride for me back down to their shop. I was very happy with their level of service and I will definitely go back. I just HOPE it won't have to be too soon! As a business owner, I was put in situations without my work truck over and over again because of their negligence. Every time we had problem with this shop. I took my car in for what was a minor coolant leak. A few days to wait for a part, and they said it was repaired. It still leaked. Took it back and it took them an additional 3-4 days to fix what they should have gotten right the first time. I won't be back. read more

"Failure to properly fix initial issue and mis-quoting for new repairs that weren't necessary. Taking advantage of the customer." I brought in my van to the shop above twice in one week. The first time was for a hot smell coming from below my vehicle. Jeff Johnson helped me both times. He was extremely nice to me and my two young girls both times. The first visit, he said a plastic back was found stuck too the exhaust and melting causing the smell. No charge was given for removing it and we were on our way home and didn't drive the vehicle till that evening when we started to hear a did rattling that sounded like it came from the rear tires. The sound started post first visit and not sooner. I brought the van back to the shop two days later for a new appointment to check the sound. Jeff helped me again and came back with a quote to repair a bad wheel bearing assembly for $354. After calling my husband, I drove the van home carefully without getting the repairs done by omaha car care. My husband and two of his friends had some experience with replacing a wheel bearing assembly so we decided to do the repair ourselves. We had to wait till this morning (about a week and a half later) to have my husbands friends help with the repair. I had been without a car for a week and a half. My husband upon looking at the vehicle found a completely fine wheel bearing assembly and three loose lug nuts. I had been driving on a loose tire that omaha car care failed to tighten after loosening that tire on my initial visit. Omaha Car Care showed me how unethical they were and how they put on a great "show" of caring for the customer but in reality were more concerned about making money than acknowledging their failure. I am wondering what they would have done for $354? Replace a completely fine wheel bearing assembly or "say they replaced it" when really they just tightened the lug nuts that they had loosened. Furthermore they allowed me to drive home with two young children on a loose tire that they could have fixed. I would not recommend them to anyone. read more
