Nails popping off after less than a week.
Keya D.

I haven't been to a chop shop in a while, and this is why. Stopped here for last minute nails for a funeral since my tech was out of town. They let a guy who had NO skill do my nails. He didn't know how to do a color acrylic French tip and my nails are UGLY. now less than a week later nails are lifting. If I lived in Vallejo I would be there so fast to have them make this right. For 75 bucks plus a tip (I spent 200 bucks in that place) that he didn't deserve I'm LIVID. I can deal with ugly nails, but low quality, lifting in less than 6 days??? TRASH. I will never go anywhere else but my nail tech from now on. Ugly nails and wasted money are my punishment. I wish I could give NO stars.

OBSESSED !!! Quality work at Ombre nails and I wouldn't choose a different nail salon!

I've been coming here for years I always get designs and it's never a miss. They have done some revamping the inside of the shop looks great and my experience with the customer service has also been great.

She applied this like regular gel then try to tell me they supposed to do it that way. It's giving chop shop. ‍

I got a pedicure and a manicure the pedicure was great however the once my manicure was done and she started to apply my build gel she literally started off with flooding my cuticles then when I asked her how come they started to tell me they are supposed to drill it off hurting my cuticles and irritating them even more. She kept disregarding me telling her things then when I finally said something to the boss she got an attitude and try and tell me I must have sensitive cuticles girl if you gona charge people for request learn the proper application process! There was no sorry no anything just a stuck up attitude very unprofessional! So I left with my nails looking like this because I just asked them to stop. Then to top it off she asked me to Zelle her CHOP SHOP

Honestly, after two bad experiences at this salon, I'm done coming here. Today, I had to leave with my nails unfinished--just clear plastic tips stuck on--only to go elsewhere to have them removed. I've never been treated so disrespectfully at a nail salon. The last time I was here, a nail tech cut me, and I had to settle for a basic manicure instead of the full set I originally wanted. Despite that, I decided to give this place another chance because one of the technicians does great full sets. However, today's experience was the worst yet. The main guy who sits by the front door--the one who does acrylics--was extremely rough with the drill, to the point where my nails were burning, and I had to pull my hand away. He was clearly rushing because it was busy before Valentine's Day. Midway through my set, he stopped to assist another tech, which I didn't mind, so I waited patiently. But when he returned, he had an attitude because he couldn't do the design I requested. He kept trying to convince me to get pink when I wanted red. When he asked if I wanted a nude base, I hesitated, unsure if it would look good. Instead of helping me decide, he rudely told me to sit to the side so he can help the next person .At that point, I told him he could just take the nails off because his attitude was unacceptable, and I didn't want to wait for another tech. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he started arguing with me, claiming I was rude--even though I've come here many times and always tipped well. He even said tipping doesn't matter, as if to dismiss my loyalty as a customer. The whole interaction was embarrassing and unprofessional. I paid for my pedicure and left. I will never return. Zero stars if possible !

Okay, I've been meaning to do this review for a while. But my whole life has been turned upside down in the past like 3 weeks. So... Bear with me. The first time I came here was awesome Bee did my nails. She was great. I came back for a fill about 2 weeks later with three nails that had popped off and Quinn did my nails. Quinn is amazing. Nothing against Bee, But I will always have Quinn do my nails from here on out. I need a fill so bad right now and my nails are still going. They've grown out. It's been almost 3 weeks! They're still strong. They're not breaking. They're not chipping. They're not peeling. They're not pulling off. They're not lifting. Amazing. I love this place. They can do anything all of the top trends. They even make their own trends. I wanted something simplistic and classy and they were able to do that but with a twist because my two nails one on my pinky and one on my pointer finger that are color different than the French tips that I have on the rest of my nails glow in the dark. That was all Quinn's idea. He's amazing. And just allll Riz. That man has so much personality. And everyone seems to love him. And I totally understand why. Quinn I'm coming back soon!!!

I like the setup, size, and service menu at this salon. I got a pedicure and for the first time I added an acrylic tip one of my toe nails... YIKES but my foot negligence and boot wearing broke down the nail on my big toe. So sad! Anyway, my deluxe is pedicure with my special treatment totaled $75. No complaints except that the menu says we get a complimentary beverage with our spa treatment and nothing was offered. I think I would go back but I don't like when other workers are talking mess in another language while I'm getting serviced. We shall see if I return. I think the technician I had was patient and kind.

They listened attentively to my preferences and ensured I was comfortable throughout the process. In and out within 40 minutes. Despite the efficiency, there was no rush, and they maintained a high standard of precision. It's evident that the team takes pride in their craft and values customer satisfaction. I highly recommend Ombré Nails for anyone seeking top-notch nail services in a friendly environment. I left the salon with stunning nails and a smile on my face--exactly what you want from a nail salon experience!

Scratches after pedicure

My first appointment left me with scratches on my foot from an aggressive pedicure & for some reason I made a second appointment, but for eyebrows instead. The night before my appointment, like 8pm...they cancel my appointment, with no explanation via text. Then I attempt to reschedule, at an earlier time online, that appointment is subsequently confirmed. All of this for me to arrive and after waiting be told, "your appointment should have been cancelled." Never going here again.

Quinn always dines a bomb job on my nails always. I faithfully come to him once a month nails or diamonds rarely come off!

Then was running late, and i rapidly got a text reply and they were so polite. I was given very clear pricing and the quality was incredible. I showed photos of what i was going for and without hesitation, they did exactly what i asked. Other places make me find color matches, when they went above and beyond to help. Every request was given with with care and top notch service. This husband and wife duo, who run this business, is a force to ne wreckoned with. Thank you and I will definitely be back!!

(Gel-X was basically press-on thats are adhered with gel and cured and designed on top). Mine started lifting and popping off in 1.5 wks. Let me give a little gist as to why I am giving Tommy this one star. I found Tommy 3 wks ago and he did a really nice gel-x set on me and took the nail design inspo pics I showed him and did his thang, which luckily they turned out cute. Fast forward 2 wks, I need a new set cus a few of mine popped off and I had weekend plans so I was trying to get right. I booked a 3:30pm appointment with him and he confirmed with "Ok! Got you down!" The day comes and I realize traffic is bad and I need more time, so I text to let him know I will be there at 3:45pm but maybe sooner. He replies with "take your time I'm a little behind" Me thinking he needed more time, I came at 4pm (30 min after my initial appointment) He lets me in his salon and asks me to wait in the salon lobby since he was still with a client. After waiting 30 mins, I texted him at 4:30pm and ask how much longer cus I had a 6pm appointment after. He reassures that he is almost done and we were good on time. Now at 5:20pm (over an hr later), he texts me asking me if I could come back after my appointment, offering me free nails and even doing a house call. Which did not work for me. So we reschedule for today (July 3 @ 4pm) and guess what? As I pull up at almost 4pm, he sends me a text asking if I can come at 7 or tomorrow morning! Hell TF NO!! Last minute?!! I am DONE with him and his unprofessionalism. This is the problem with techs, they don't know how to prioritize their time. Tommy and I even spoke about it too. The previous owner of Great Nails (which Tommy took over last year but sold and now rents a small room inside a Latino hair salon) would overbook and clients would complain. Hypocrite much? I don't know if Tommy overbooked or didn't prioritize his time, either way, it's unacceptable. Maybe cus he thought he was giving me a free nail set, he can do what he wants. I am still a client! I was't coming for no free shit. The fact that he thinks it's ok to cancel on me last minute not once but TWICE, is what really bothers me. ------- UPDATE: *Let drop the review for my first appointment* He was in the process of moving and setting up his room, so he didn't have much set up yet. He was talking about himself saying he the best shit and what nots. Said I wouldn't be disappointed and blah blah blah. Yeah, l liked my nails but it wasn't exactly what I wanted. His work may be nice but there are plenty other techs that can put out great work. He thinks he's some hot shit cus he came from SoCal. Gel-X is to me is cheating anyways. Lazy work. He didn't have all his material, his uv lamps were dying, and in the end he drew this bullshit Lord of the Rings shield looking design, but I didn't want to make him change it after he did all this work on it. I didn't hate my nails so I wanted to give him another try when all his stuff was set up properly to be able to give a real review. I never got that chance cus Tommy unprofessionally cancels last minute. Free or not, does not excuse cancelling last minute TWICE. If he thinks that he is not wrong, he is DA LU LU Btw, his spot had little to no parking and the area isn't the safest. Busy but a lot weirdos.

When I asked about it, he simply shook his head. By the next day, while on a trip, several nails had chipped and broken, and within two days the product had lifted from nearly all of them. This cost me additional money and took time away from my vacation with my husband and family to have them redone. This was also very painful. As you can see in the photos, my nails broke quite far down when the product chipped off. Because I was out of town for an extended period and had commitments when I returned, I could not visit Nails Design until today. When I explained the situation, the manager repeatedly insisted I should have come back sooner, despite my explaining that was not possible. I received no apology and felt dismissed. After a lengthy discussion, the manager agreed to redo my nails at no charge. However, after the service, the technician told me I would receive only a 50% discount. I explained that this contradicted the manager's agreement and that I had accepted the pedicure only because my nails were to be redone for free. The technician honored the original agreement, and I paid a full tip for both services. Problems can happen in any business, but what matters is how they are handled. Rather than taking responsibility and apologizing, management repeatedly blamed me for not returning sooner. If you have had good experiences here, I am glad. However, I cannot recommend this salon. The poor workmanship, damage to my nails, and the manager's handling of the situation made this a frustrating experience from start to finish.

It's located next to Jelly Donuts. To be honest, the location isn't ideal because there's not a lot of parking. Luckily we found a spot. Upon arrival, it was noticeably busy. About three girls were waiting as walk-ins. I started my full set after about half an hour of waiting. I was a little disappointed because I wanted my friend to also be seen by a nail tech at the same time since we had the same appointment. The nail tech who helped me was John. He was really nice and polite to customers. He even gave me a short lesson about nails and acrylics. He's really good at what he does. Although, I do wish my set was a little shorter just to be more practical and makes doing daily activities easier. My set came out really nice though and he was pretty quick at doing so. Unfortunately, my friend didn't start until around 6:30. That's a pretty long wait time for having an appointment. Their prices are reasonable. Also, they offer a stamp card so you can get $5 off your set when you fill it up which I find really useful. Overall, their service was better than most nail shops. When an event comes up, I will most likely go back to them.

"Very bad business"…read more I am very disappointed with my experience at Nails Care in Vallejo. I have visited this salon twice, and unfortunately, the customer service was poor both times. During my most recent visit, I specifically requested a particular nail technician to perform my service. Instead of honoring my request or explaining why that technician was unavailable, the manager insisted that another employee do my nails. As a paying customer, I believe I should be able to request the technician I feel most comfortable with, especially when making an appointment or arriving with that expectation. If a requested technician is unavailable, staff should clearly communicate that information in advance whenever possible and offer customers the option to reschedule or choose another technician. The manager's attitude came across as unprofessional and dismissive, which made me feel like my preferences and concerns did not matter. Good customer service involves listening to customers, communicating respectfully, and making reasonable efforts to accommodate requests. Management could improve the customer experience by training staff to explain scheduling decisions politely, acknowledge customer concerns, and provide clear alternatives when requests cannot be met. Because this was my second negative experience at this salon, I do not plan to return. I hope management takes customer feedback seriously and works on improving communication and customer service. Establishing better appointment procedures, confirming technician requests ahead of time, and encouraging more respectful interactions with customers would go a long way toward rebuilding trust and improving overall satisfaction

(I suggest filtering reviews so you can see the most recent) This is the messiest nail salon I have…read moreever seen. I decided to go to lavish nails because they had good reviews and it was easy to make an appt online. When I arrived, I was surprised by how messy and unsanitary it looked. I have never seen a salon with so much stuff everywhere. There were nail polishes in boxes stacked on the floor and counter space in the back looked messy and cluttered. My gut feeling almost had me turn around and leave, but I did not want to be rude. I was seated next to the fridge in a pedicure chair. My pedicure was actually really nice. The lady took her time and gave a great massage. I probably would not have taken the time to write a review if I just had the pedicure. My terrible experience was with the nail tech, Simon. I asked for an acrylic fill and asked him for natural looking nails. Half way through, I looked and they were thicker than I like. I asked if they could be thinner and I thought I heard him say mmhmm. When he finished shaping, he showed me them and said he did a curve and that is natural. He stated he was skilled. I did not want to be fussy and now that I look back, I should have said something again because I went home and could not get over how thick my nails were. They looked bubbly and I could not put on my own jewelry on because they were so thick. I convinced myself to go back the next day. I went right when they opened and Simon asked what was wrong and I told him I loved the color and the shape, but my nails were too thick. I was very nice and he told me my nails go up and that is why he had to make them thick. He then said they will break easily once he shaves them down and can't gaurantee them next time. I said, that is fine. (My nails are very sturdy 1.5 weeks later). He begrudgingly filed them down and told me I should never get fake nails if I want them to look natural. I did not respond, but I have had so many fake nails that looked great. He went so fast that my nails have ridges. He did not say bye or anything. The cost for my nail fill and pedi was $120 and I tipped $20 btw.
