Saturday Special: Penne Pasta Alfredo with chicken & broccoli. Alfredo sauce was perfect!

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise! It's located in a sort of out of the way location, away from the usual restaurant locations, but that didn't seem to be a problem because the parking lot and restaurant were pleasantly full when we entered. People come out of their way to come to this place! Our server was very friendly, and the food definitely had a feeling of being homemade. My kielbasa and pierogi were all delightful and stayed far away from the usual pitfalls of being greasy. My husband's pork chop was also tasty and well-seasoned. The apple pie was a great way to finish and hit just the spot. (Though I wish they offered a scoop of ice cream alongside it.) Overall, this resturant is a great part of the community, and I wish we'd found it sooner. Too many restaurants boast of "home-cooked vibes", but this place absolutely delivered. The only drawback was simple we ate our complete meals! (There are worse problems to have.) You really won't have any leftovers, so if you've come with a big appetite, you might want to add some starters to your order.

I will rate the service. Service was good. There was a wait, but that means lots of people want to eat here. Waited was only, 15 mins. After getting seated, I was tended to within a few mins. Waitress was sweet and quick (in and out but to the point) Ordered the #1 combo. 2 potato pancakes, 2 nalisniki (apple and cherry) and 3 pierogis. It's pretty much fried and very oily. It was just ok If I were to go back, I'd probably order some sausage and meat to balance out the carb heavy meal I had.

Had pork chops, mashed potatoes and sour kraut. Had read that sour kraut is an excellent probiotic and it tasted good, not over powering. The two pork chops were huge and I ended up taking one home. Server and hostess were very attentive.

Pull up your navy socks, slide on your Velcro shoes, and mosey down to 3 Brothers for dinner. This is where the neighborhood goes for big servings of inexpensive food and conversation, and by all appearances, has for many years. Giant bowl of veggie soup and a Polish dinner special of kielbasa, pierogis, kraut, and stuffed cabbage. The cabbage was pretty good. The waitstaff is sweet as can be, and the value cannot be denied.

The Polish Combo: Kielbasa (yum), City Chicken (yuck), Potato Pierogi (meh)

I wanted something different, so I tried the combo that included pierogis, kielbasa, and city chicken. The soup here is a bargain, costing just $.99 a cup when ordered with a meal. I got a cup of the dill pickle soup, having never tried this traditional Polish soup. The dill pickle soup was a pleasant surprise. The sour bite associated with dill pickles was tempered by the creaminess of the soup. The taste of dill wasn't overpowering, and the soup was warm, hearty, and comforting. I would order this again. I was less satisfied by the combo meal. The kielbasa was exceptional. I had ordered the smoked version grilled. The smoky flavor complemented the flavor of the sausage nicely. The potato pierogis were just ok. I had ordered them pan fried, but they tasted as if the frying hadn't happened recently and they were reheated via a microwave. I really didn't like the city chicken. The breading was gummy, and the meat had the taste and texture of a mystery. I would not order this again.

This will go down as one of the worst dining experiences of 2023. The food here is awful. I refuse to believe that what we were served is authentic Polish food. Everything was fried and bland. No seasoning and not even crispy. We didn't eat most of it and threw the leftovers away. I've had potato pancakes and pierogies before that were much better than what is offered at Three Brothers. This restaurant seems popular with the older crowd but I can't imagine it will entice a younger population more accustomed to authentic international cuisine and spices. The service was mediocre too. If you are looking for an old school diner in this neighborhood, I recommend Zack's of Plymouth several blocks away.

8/26/25: BAKED/breaded pork chops (no onions on top), with double mashed potatoes. DELICIOUS. (NOTE: Tuesday only special)

11-5-25: Tried the meatloaf dinner. It was not what I was hoping for. The flavor was fine, but the meat was kind of tough, maybe just too dense. I would not recommend it. Why is it so hard to find a good meatloaf?

Good Polish food that is convenient to me. It is no longer necessary to drive to Hamtramck. I love the kielbasa omelette. Their combo platter is a great dinner. Will I return? Absolutely yes!

She also has classes for date nights and other events, for anyone that wants to learn how to make pierogi. The pierogi are all frozen, order and pay at the front counter. All orders are bagged. A small sheet of paper to give instructions on how to cook the pierogies in a pan with some butter. Suggested to eat with some sautéed onions and or sour cream for some. I got the chicken pot pie, the mushroom and mozzarella, cheddar, the potato and garlic, sauerkraut and mushroom, sauerkraut and onion. $87.04 The chicken pot pie comes with gravy and some crumbs to put on top. They have 25 different flavors, however, they were out of many and sold out , especof all the extra fellas. We cooked up the pierogi, sautéed some onions, kielbasa, kraut. We ate the potato and mushroom and mozzarella pierogi with the onions, cream cheese or sour cream. Pierogi took about 6-8 minutes on medium heat on the stovetop to brown some. The mushroom wasn't my favorite, as the mushrooms would gush out some water from it, was a rather unexpected experience, not for me. The mushroom and cheese were decent. The kraut and onion and the chicken pot pie fell apart somewhat during the cooking and flipping for us. The potatoes were as expected, not too bad.

Polish Market continues to be my go to market for Polish sausage in Metror Detroit. I have tied most if not all of the other well known named Polish centric markets in metro Detroit but for my money this Market makes the best sausage. Their large selection of tasty sausage with fair pricing is second to none. In particular, I consider their cherry wood sausage to be exceptional where this is my go to wood species when I do my own smoking which I do on a weekly basis. It adds such a good and unique flavor to meat that I am surprised that more smoked meat centric businesses in the area dont do it. Sausage aside, I like to buy their Polish cookies/treats from Polish Market for my 90 something year old in laws who are immigrants from Poland where they get a huge kick out of these baked goods that remind them of their heritage and original homeland. It lights up their eyes when I say I bought Polish cookies for them. Sometimes the simplest things are the best things in life! (:

I was looking for a nice sit down restaurant that can allow me to be present and enjoy the quiet ambiance as opposed to chitter/chatter and general noise. I read that reservations are needed. I called Tuesday night and asked if I can get a table w/o one. The gentleman that took the call was very polite and said I can absolutely come in. This was pretty much next to the bookstore I went to on Monday. I didn't even know because I was too wrapped up in the book that I just purchased. I rarely do things like this because I feel guilty for enjoying myself on a work trip. That I away from my kids and my cats. I was seated right away. Service was spectacular. I did not get his name. I enjoyed our exchange. He shared that he lived in San Diego before moving back and checked on me throughout my dining experience. I ordered the kielbasa from the appetizer menu. The grilled onions, pickles, fresh carrots and purple cabbage, especially the mustard made the kielbasa so succulent and savory. I have been craving for pierogi so that was what I ordered as my main entree. I had one of each flavor that they offer. It was a surprise w/ each bite because I did not know which was which. I was surprised I didn't devour the plate. My entree came w/ a fresh salad w/ house made ranch and house made roll (dense but airy!). After I ordered, I marveled at the decor. That rustic and historic vibe. There was a frame that holds music notes from Mozart and a piano to my left. I love how serene and intimate this restaurant was. I only took my phone out to take pictures of my food because I wanted to enjoy the solitude I seldom get to have. Come here! Take yourself out! You deserve it. Great food. Great atmosphere.
