I have photo evidence of the unhealthy amount of times I have been here with my friends because of how much I love this place. I've tried NUMEROUS escape room companies, and the Sunnyvale omescape by far blows it out of the park! from the production, to the actors, the hosts, the workers, and the storylines, everything is just amazing. The experience is always soo awesome at this specific location and I really value the enthusiasm from the workers here! It's def worth the money. if I were to rate the escape rooms, here's my list from top to worst (rating is for puzzles, difficulty, production, and overall team experience) 1. Haunting of Haruka High 2. Undercooked 3. Apartment Next Door 4. Chaos in Galleria 5. Kingdom of Cat-tastrophy 6. Midnight in Hong Kong I still need to try robotopia and forsaken temple so I can't wait to come back to try the remaining ones!

Fantastic staff. This escape room experience exceeded our expectations! Booked a same day game for 13 people. Yes a big group! And luckily and happily they were able to have us! Tried "midnight in Hong Kong" which is perfect for a large group and it was so detailed and well thought out. Woah! What a thrill. Appreciate the hints cus I was so stuck and I felt better and a bit accomplished once I figured out my personal puzzle. Worth the experience.

Wow! My pool team captain booked "Midnight in Hong Kong" as a team building fun night out. I've done a few Escape Rooms in my day, but this one had some features that are new to me. With 12 players, we had two six-player teams racing against one another in the same space... The Dragons vs. The Tigers, the winning team will get to take over the Hong Kong underground organized crime. It sounds like it would be a recipe for chaos, but it worked quite well. In addition to solving several challenges in our 90 minutes, we each had a personal puzzle we could work one. If solved, we could sabotage our opponents for a brief moment. All the puzzles were well thought out, challenging but solvable. The details in the rooms are extraordinary and pleasing. Arella was our tour guide/helper/actor and did a super job.

This is my first time participating in Omescape - Robotopia. This escape room is no joke, and so fun when you're playing with friends. I went to this location to celebrate my birthday. There are plenty of spots to park, and when you enter, the front desk staff is super welcoming and excited. They sell stickers at the front. You can also get free stickers by leaving a review. The game we played was Robotopia. We finished past the 2 hour mark. The staff was very kind to extend this time for us because we definitely would not be able to escape within 2 hours. This was a difficult one. Thank you so much for this experience. I can't wait to try other games in this escape room.

Just wanted to give shout-out to our amazing host, Brianna. She was awesomeness and our group had a wonderful time & def played into the characters trying to escape. This location never disappoints!!! They have lots of fun signs for photo-ops too! Carmen was super nice to come help us take our group photo!

Which rooms are super interactive with live characters in it,, other then Haunting at Hauku?

    Robotopia

Is cost by person playing? or the escape room type?

Would this be good for a 10 year old's birthday party? What is the minimum age for kids to play?

Possibly. These escape rooms have a lot of fairly complicated puzzles to solve and teamwork is required to complete the room. However if they get stuck they can always ask for help and will still enjoy it even with the help.

Are any of the rooms family friendly or best for kids?

I've only done one room here so far but the Undercooked theme one is very family friendly and I think kids would really enjoy it.

Anyone know when in September that they'll be back in action?

Omescape has been reopened in both San Jose and Sunnyvale for over a month now.

Although we enjoyed the general plot of the scavenger hunt and liked the experience of narrowing down who the culprit was, we felt that the clues were excessively specific, as we had to skim through every label in each area of the museum to get the information we needed. I think we would've preferred more general clues where you could still enjoy the information in that area of the museum without having to work so hard to search through each line of text. I also felt like the clues given were not very connected to the objects in the museum, and the plot of the mystery didn't seem very relevant to the setting of the museum. This took us out of the environment of the museum and made the experience less enjoyable. I felt that the length of was too long at 2.5 hours, although if the clues hadn't been as specific, perhaps we would have been less mentally exhausted at the end. We felt that it was fairly easy to narrow down the culprit with a handful of clues, so I think it would have made for far more intrigue if the clues were more directly tied to the plot and involved more thinking rather than just piecing together tidbits of information. My biggest qualm was the price of the scavenger hunt. I felt like paying $60 for to cover the cost of the museum admission, the video at the beginning of the scavenger hunt, and the website that was made for the scavenger hunt was very unreasonable. An average escape room in the area is about $40 to $50, and escape rooms have much more upfront expenses for the organizers, including the cost of renting the space, the elaborate props, and the staffing. This was a fairly enjoyable one-time experience, but in the future I would just go to an escape room.

Tal provided accurate descriptions of how each experience would be and what are the available options. Tal was very patient while I sorted out the date of the event and also the experience we wanted. The puzzles to solve were very creative and simulates your brain. Also is good team building experience where we need to work as a team and individually to escape within the time. As part of the experience we all got a drink/snack as complimentary. To top it all Tal gave a nice prize/gift to the winning team. Lastly I would like to highlight the amazing customer experience where we booked for 19 people and only 17 people turned up. Tal was able to get us the refund for the two no shows. I will be definitely excited to try out their other scavenger hunts in the upcoming years.

We were in San Jose for Labor Day weekend 2026 and looking for something to do. I googled what to…read moredo in San Jose and the only thing that came up was the Winchester Mystery House beside shopping. They have some good shopping the Westfield Mall and Santana Row. We're good on clothing and other goods so we weren't really looking to go shopping. I've heard of the Winchester Mystery House, but have never been. This seemed like my best chance. My husband has been twice. When he has 12 and then again when he was 42 so it wasn't new to him. I looked them up on their website and was shocked to see how expensive it was to make a single 1 hour tour, but it's really the only thing to do in San Jose besides eating and shopping so we took the plunge and decided to go. I looked and there was plenty of tickets on Friday so we figured we could just show up and go. For some reason I was inspired to look Sunday night to recheck the ticket prices and ensure they were going to be open Labor Day. To my shock the 10am slot was sold out and so were most of the morning slots. There were tickets at the 10:05am tour time. I didn't want to commit so soon at the same time I didn't want to miss our opportunity to see the house. In the end I took the gamble that we'd be up and ready to go by 9am to ensure we would make it to the 10:05 tour time. It cost $92.22 for 2 people including taxes and fees. Wow!!! Steep. I'm glad there were tickets left and I was able to snag 2 for the early time as we needed to make the journey home afterwards. We arrived at around 9am and thankfully found parking. On their website they said they were under construction and parking was limited and you may have to park at Santana Row. I didn't want to have to walk that far so we my husband humored me and we arrived extra early and were first in the parking lot. Good for us. We hung out in the car till 9:40am and then headed to the gate to get in line. There was a crowd forming, but no actual line. They opened the gates at around 9:45am to get everyone through security. They inquired if we had any weapons including pepper spray and inspected our purses. Good thing I left the pepper spray in the car lol. After entering in the court yard we were directed to the gift shop. We were informed that the most important room of the house, the bathroom was though the glass doors and through the inner courtyard. Also look for the green and red sign as that is where you go for your tour. At 10am sharp they called the first group in. They scanned your ticket and then took your picture agains the side of the house and give you a card to look at your picture after your tour. In addition after your tour they email you a link to your picture in addition to being able to look up your picture via the QR code on the card they gave you. I didn't look at the pictures till I got home as I took a really good one of us in the garden. When I got home I used the QR code to look at our pictures and I was shocked that they looked so good. They superimposed a picture of the house behind us. It was a super fun pose and my husband actually smiled in the pictures. They are only $35 for the set of digital prints. I'm not sure how it works if you get the printed copy at the gift shop, if they also give you access to the digital prints as well. I sure hope they would as these days everyone wants it digitally so they can post it on social media and send it to friends and family via email or text. I'm still tempted to buy the picture set. We'll see how long they leave it up. We just look so good in the pictures. I'm a total picture person and a real sucker for photo ops, especially photo booths. To add to it they did have a Photo Booth in the gift shop that looked fun, but as I said we did take some really cool selfies so we really don't need more pictures. The first cool thing you see is the door with the stairway that goes nowhere. So cool. Excitement from the very start. I got a cool picture of the staircase. The house is huge, but the room inside are tiny and I mean tiny. It's like you're walking into a closet. You are walking in and out of a room before you realize it. We visited I belive 110 rooms in 1 hour. After the tour we took a tour of the gardens. I am so glad that we did as you can walk around to the front of the house and grab a. Great pic in-front of the house. A totally instagram worthy shot. The grounds are beautiful. With lawns, hedges, and flowers. In addition in back was one of the workers quarters, a really nice house out back. When you walked by it talks to you and tells you a bit about life working for Sarah. There is also a fruit cellar where they dried fruit and that talked to you too about the process.
