I had my first facial here about a month ago. I was super excited because I had read the reviews beforehand and every one was amazing! I'll just share a few things about my experience here: 1. I firstly want to say that my facial was nice! It was relaxing, my skin didn't have any weird reactions, the studio was clean, everyone was super nice, and my skin looked great afterward. This is my first facial so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I would say I had a good experience. 2. Something I didn't love, however, was that I felt like I was being advertised to throughout my facial. I understand that they want to sell their products, but I didn't love that when I asked about alternatives that I could purchase from other places, I was told that nothing else was good enough and everything else had lesser quality ingredients, which I know isn't true. I didn't like feeling like I was being told their lines were the only "good" options. 3. Along the same lines, at the end of my treatment I was immediately asked to schedule my next facial. I felt put on the spot so I scheduled it, but didn't feel entirely comfortable with how pushy that part was. I ended up canceling it later. 4. I also wish each step of the facial had been explained to me as it happed, since this was my first facial and I didn't know what to expect. I did ask for that at the beginning but I think they forgot. It isn't a big deal, but without a heads up, some steps were a little jarring sometimes. My bottom line is that I think the facial was nice and I think my skin looks better because of it, but because of the other parts of the experience that felt a little uncomfortable, I'm going to try out another place for my next facial before returning. read more

I had an amazing experience getting a facial at Honest Skin. Lauren at the front desk was super welcoming the minute I walked in. The waiting area is gorgeous! From outside the building you would know that the minute you step in you are transported to a comfy, peaceful space environment. Abri did my facial and I loved her calm demeanor. I had the Honest Essential with Jordan. It was my first facial ever and she was very patient with my questions and gave me a detailed explanation with each step of the process. She customized a treatment for me after accessing my skin, and also sent me home with personalized skincare samples to continue treatment at home. It was such an awesome experience, I will be seeing her monthly to continue my facial treatments. After just one, I'm already seeing a difference in my skin texture! She really took her time with me, I unfortunately had a lot of congestion on my cheeks, nose and temples that required a lot of extractions. She's a perfectionist and got every single one even though it definitely took extra time to do so. Along with the necessary treatments, she included a scalp and shoulder message to help relax me after the extractions. Jordan is the best and I really enjoyed being pampered at Honest Skin. I came here for my first ever facial and had a great experience. Brandi did my facial for me and I was able to get a new client package of $75 for their Honest Essential facial including sample products to try (she gave me small to-go samples of the products she used on me during the session to see if I wanted to try them for myself at home). When I arrived, I was greeted immediately and was asked if I wanted a beverage. When I entered the room, there was a cute little welcome sign for me as well as 2 coasters that asked if I wanted to talk during my session or if I'd rather just "drift away" - loved that they had this so the session could be exactly how I wanted it to be. Brandi was super helpful as she talked me through the steps she did, why she was doing what she was doing/why it helped, and gave me a ton of tips to take with me. The treatment was relaxing, informative, and the price was reasonable compared to other places. There are add-ons that can be discussed as well. They are also having an October special where you can get 20% off their products if you bring in a skin product you don't use/want. My skin after the session also felt very good. Since it was my first treatment and I mentioned my skin was sensitive, Brandi tailored my treatment to my sensitive skin and went light to see if there were any adverse reactions. Recently had my facial appointment this month with Hannah - after being in the heat that day, my skin had a morning. I booked the essential facial initially and after Hannah examined my face, she recommended the oxygen facial to cool my face as I was a little burnt. My usually esthetician was booked so I decided to try this place. The good - last minute availability, plenty of parking, nice office I liked that you can add on dermaplaning for $15. I've been going to Honest Skin for years now and have had almost all there services done. Tiffany was someone a saw regularly when she was at the Point Loma location. I've never had a bad experience no matter what esthetician I've seen. Today a had Lianna who is one of the owners and it was like a religious experience . I think my soul left my body I was so relaxed and my skin always looks amazing after getting the essential facial. I love to add in the scalp message and one of the masks. Great wellness spa! I booked my appointment and was met at the front door by Tamar, she was very approachable and asked some great questions I hadn't thought about that has to do with my skin. I got the non chemical, chemical peel, I had an upcoming event and she said this would be great because it wouldn't make my skin peel like a traditional chemical peel.
