We've been to Omizu Japanese Restaurant several times, and I finally decided it was time to write a review! We dined here tonight and, as always, everything was fresh, delicious, and consistently good. We started with the clear soup and green salad, along with our favorite appetizer, the Sexy Jalapeno - a must-try if you like a little kick! For sushi, we ordered the Youngstown and Godzilla specialty rolls, along with the Spicy Salmon and Spicy Yellowtail. Everything was fresh and beautifully prepared. I also love the atmosphere at Omizu. The bubble wall and the umbrellas hanging from the ceiling give the restaurant such a fun, unique vibe. After coming here several times, I can honestly say Omizu is our go-to sushi restaurant. It's one of those places you can count on for consistently fresh food, great atmosphere, and a meal that never disappoints. Definitely recommend! read more

**This is a 3.5 star review.** I was looking for something a little different in the culinary challenged town of Parma, and this joint fit the bill. The atmosphere here was warm, inviting and clean on our visit. And despite that they had bluegrass music blaring, it still felt like a Japanese restaurant. Service here was also polite, quick and efficient. I started with an order of calamari, which literally came out in two minutes. It was panko-crusted and about as rubbery as the set of Michelins that I had installed on my car a few weeks ago. That's not a deal-breaker, as there have been only two places in my life that have served melty calamari -- both of them Italian joints, As an aside, there are two secrets to cooking calamari. First, they need to soak in milk, as the lactic acid breaks down muscle. Secondly, they need to be dredged in an egg mixture so they brown quickly without overcooking the meat. But I digress. I took a couple sips of the miso soup, which was nicely flavored. I didn't touch the salad, but the person who did said it was good. The udon noodles were nicely presented and had excellent flavor. The coconut shrimp was the total opposite of the calamari in that it was cooked to perfection. I'm not sure what the dipping sauce was, but it was also phenomenal, and I'll be looking for a copycat recipe. As for the sushi, it was good. Not earth-shattering, but beautifully presented with a nice contrast of flavors and temperatures. I'm not sure about the cherry on top, but what the hell. If I lived here, this place would be a regular stop for me ... especially because they have Sam Adams Boston Lager on draft. read more

As a half Japanese person, my sushi intake is immensely particular. But there are days where I do need to have some sushi to fix my cravings. I'll share what I absolutely love about Omizu. I usually order from UberEats, and I normally just order salmon rolls, spicy tuna rolls, etc., because I normally have avocado at home. This one time--I didn't have any. But I also didn't want to pay extra for avocado. I placed a note in my UberEats order "PLEASE ADD AVOCADO". And they did--no extra charge. I was so happy and I devoured my meal. My top picks: * Spicy Tuna * Salmon Lover * Salmon Roll, Tuna Roll, & Spicy Salmon Roll One day, we went inside to celebrate my friends birthday. She was a fan of hibachi, and wanted to try sushi for the first time. I've received takeout, delivery, and have eaten in at Omizu MANY TIMES. The service is very good here. Staff is attentive without smothering you when you're dining alone or on a date. The sushi is fresh and doesn't present that fishy taste. Hot dishes are always hot and crisp (when fried). Drinks are delicious. Cost vs product is reasonable. read more

I ordered the gyoza, California roll, spicy tuna roll, yellowtail jalapeño and the yellowtail nigiri. For dessert I ordered the green tea mochi. All the rolls are delicious (my favorites are the Godzilla, Ocean, and Omega rolls as well as the Snow Mountain roll on occasion), and they have a large selection of sashimi and nigiri that is always fresh. The restaurant has a wonderful set up with plenty of seating and even a sushi bar area where you can watch them make your roll. The staff was ok but I was overlooked for seating before having my order taken. They played nice music as I waited for my sushi roll which only took about 10 mins during a not so busy lunch hour. Took the kids to Omizu for sushi upon their request. My daughter says this is her favorite sushi restaurant. We were seated immediately and given menus and water. I deferred to my daughter to figure out which sushi rolls to request. My son doesn't like sushi that much, so he requested teriyaki chicken. We requested edamame as an appetizer. The edamame was hot, steamy, salty, and delicious. A short while later, our food was delivered. Since we requested four sushi rolls, they were delivered on a boat. A bucket list item can officially be removed. A lot of times, when you request a sushi boat, it's the "chef's choice". But in this case, they simply placed all of our rolls on a boat, which was sweet. The sushi was very good. My daughter and I have a saying that goes, "The sauce makes the sushi". The sauces here are great. And the sushi is tasty and fresh. I see why it is my daughter's favorite sushi shop. I'm sure we'll visit again. read more

Can't even express the love I have for this place. I come almost weekly. The manager, Johnny, cares so much and makes sure every time I'm here is amazing. I also love the workers. They're all so kind and great at their job, with a special shout out to Efia It's hard to not order multiple appetizers and sushi rolls because they're all delicious, and the prices are super low. I even had my mom's 60th birthday here, where they gave her a cheesecake boat, decorated the room, and even gave her a gift bag with presents. This will be a life time spot for me read more

Clean, friendly, easy location to get to. Ended up getting one appetizer, one sushi roll, and one bowl of ramen. The pork bun appetizer was just very underwhelming. I felt like the meat was a lot of gelatinous fat, and then the lettuce they used on top was iceberg and a little wimpy. I actually have no comment on the sushi roll because I don't remember what I got.... Something with mango. It held together nicely and the fish seemed fresh, it just wasn't memorable. As for the ramen, again it was just very typical. I believe we got the duck. It was a little bit pricey for it being mostly noodles and very little meat on the bone. I don't think Omizu was bad, but they won't be replacing my favorite. I tried this place because I was in the area. read more

I was so excited to see a new sushi place open in the area and I finally had a chance to stop by. I was particularly hungry when I went in by myself so I definitely ordered too much, good thing you can take it home. To start off the interior is MUCH more massive then I was expecting. Love the décor. Considering how cold it was, I got a miso soup ($1.95). Fairly standard, no complaints. I then ordered a shrimp tempura roll ($5.50), salmon avocado roll ($4.75) and the eel cucumber roll ($5.25). The salmon and eel rolls had 8 pieces each, the tempura had 5 pieces. Overall, I thought it was fine. I've had worse sushi and I've had better. I think it's a nice addition to the area since it's sorely lacking in decent sushi places. Will I be back? Probably. The sushi and the prices aren't bad and will definitely satisfy a sushi craving. read more

Don't judge this place from the outside. Looks can be deceiving. Inside is the some of the best sushi I've had in the area, hands down. So many types of sushi to choose from that you might have a panic attack in coming to a decision. Decor is super cool and the service is speedy. They also have non-sushi options as well. I have been here two times in two weeks. I dont frequently go back to places so soon but I just cant get enough of their sushi. They have many options too for all different people's tastes. There is also hibachi dinners, bento boxes, noodles and fried rice among many other items on their menu. I tried their shrimp fried rice and bbq squid also both very good. Their sushi is a must over everything and has at least 4 pages dedicated just to it. My SO tried the teriyaki chicken bento box and said they preferred the sushi. I usually get take out from this place but decided that I should probably check it out in person to see how the service is. Their take out is absolutely delicious and their food is still hot by the time it gets to my house. It kind of felt like I was sitting in their restaurant and they just served me my meal because of how hot the soup still was when I took a sip. When I went inside their restaurant I noticed the gigantic fish tank with the fake fishes in there. The lights were dim and felt quite romantic. Since I came during lunch time there wasn't that many people there. The service was very fast and pleasant. The sushi chefs look like they put a lot of love in their food displays and the way they roll their sushi. Everything was so fresh and delicious and the amount of sauce that they put in the sushi definitely compliments the fish.
