    Sushi platter.
    Julie D.

Came for lunch on a Wednesday and it was excellent. They have lunch specials so I ordered the 3 roll special (eel avocado, Boston and the shrimp tempura roll). Started with a seaweed salad. Hubs ordered the sushi platter with 4 different nigiri and a tuna roll. His came with miso soup and a green salad. Ice cold with a miso peanut dressing. We'll definitely be back when we're in Middleburg heights.

This place is amazing! Fresh food! The spicy Kani salad to start is a must. Or without the spice either way. I got the miso soup which tasted great. The broth was very good. Sushi app came with 6 pieces and they let me choose which fish I wanted. I went with the escolar (white tuna) salmon and tuna. All tasted so fresh and chill to the perfect temperature. Then finally the spider roll. The soft shell crab was cooed to the perfect consistency.

This was good sushi at a very reasonable price. The shop was slammed with to go orders, but the waitress was still serving tables too. By herself. The sushi was fresh, tasty, and the menu was ample. Great little place with a cute vibe. Clean, friendly staff, and easy location. We will be back for sure

Brought my mother who's from the west coast to umi and she proclaimed it as the best sushi this side of the Mississippi. Very cute restaurant with fun lights and efficient service.

While visiting family in the area we were excited to find a sushi restaurant to try. We were easily able to order online and pickup was a breeze. Sushi was nicely packaged and very fresh. Our favorite was the Seared pepper Tuna avocado roll. It was delicious!

It's hard to find Asian restaurant near where we were staying . I found this place on Yelp. The food is decent, inexpensive but good.

Ironman & umi roll. Great! Love this place.

Love this place it's my favorite sushi spot & soon will be yours too. It's GAT & Weez approved so u know it's good. Last time the iron man signature roll & edamame. Today it's the pearl sig. roll (tuna salmon yellowtail, crab avocado caviar roll.). Everything here is just perfect. Basically I won't stop until I've tried everything ha! Kristy the owner is super nice, it's a great little place, tastefully decorated, in the plaza across from the islander. Oh the memories at the islander & even some of them are good... Miso soup coming out. Hot & refreshing, a good palate cleanser. I love the wakami I spent half a party eating all the dulse my friends mom sent. It's got to be healthy. Ok here comes the pearl roll. Wow it's good!! My favorite roll yet. No nori just the sushi, see photo. The roe really finishes it off w a little pop. Beautiful. Even the tea is good. $46 + tip. 5 stars, I'd give them 10 stars if I could!

    Salmon Lover $16.75

My Son and were dubious about trying this place. Its in strip mall. Its in Cleveland.... need I say more? Boy were we in for surprise. My Son LOVES salmon... they have a dish called the Salmon Lover ($16.75). You get raw salmon prepared 3 ways. 6 pieces of a roll; 3 pieces nigri; 4 pieces of sashimi. Salmon is fresh... I mean FRESH. I had some of the sashimi and there was no hint of fishiness. I ordered the Chicken Teri Combo with Steak Teriyaki ($15.75) - served on a hot iron plate (I do mean hot) so the bottom of the meat is slightly seared since the meat is resting on a bed of onions. The sauce is thick and sweet, but not sickly sweet... it was perfect with a bowl of white rice. You also get some steamed veggies along with it (broccoli, baby corn, snow peas and asparagus). I also ordered some nigri on the side. Saba ($4.75 for 2 pieces) not overly marinated. Good balance of contrasting flavors. Now what really surprised me... on the specials on the wall.. I saw they had Toro!! Seriously? In Cleveland? I ordered a piece of nigri ($8.00). It taste and behaved like toro I had before. I was GOOD Toro!! Melt in your mouth good. Yes, I am a believer. If you are in Cleveland attending one of the many Conventions... and you have a hankering for good sushi, then the name of this Restaurant says it all. Umi!!

If you're scrolling through Yelp reviews thinking "should I eat here?" let me save you the trouble by confirming what your stomach is probably already thinking, which is yes 100%! I've been past this plaza countless times and even gotten take out from the Jets pizza next door but low key never noticed the sushi place also in the plaza... On a cold and blustery winter night my girlfriend and I decided to check it out... There is food and drink happy hour so we went with a traditional California and fried shrimp roll. Both were good! We each went with their special ramen, the Tonkotsu Ramen. From the broth to the noodles to the pork. Everything in this was amazing to the last drop. I cannot recommend enough!!

I'll share what I absolutely love about Omizu. I usually order from UberEats, and I normally just order salmon rolls, spicy tuna rolls, etc., because I normally have avocado at home. This one time--I didn't have any. But I also didn't want to pay extra for avocado. I placed a note in my UberEats order "PLEASE ADD AVOCADO". And they did--no extra charge. I was so happy and I devoured my meal. My top picks: * Spicy Tuna * Salmon Lover * Salmon Roll, Tuna Roll, & Spicy Salmon Roll One day, we went inside to celebrate my friends birthday. She was a fan of hibachi, and wanted to try sushi for the first time. I had came earlier and asked them to store a cake for me--they gladly took it and presented it at a timely manner for us to celebrate her first sushi + her cake! Above and BEYOND this restaurant goes--impeccable service and quality.

**This is a 3.5 star review.**…read more I was looking for something a little different in the culinary challenged town of Parma, and this joint fit the bill. The atmosphere here was warm, inviting and clean on our visit. And despite that they had bluegrass music blaring, it still felt like a Japanese restaurant. Service here was also polite, quick and efficient. I started with an order of calamari, which literally came out in two minutes. It was panko-crusted and about as rubbery as the set of Michelins that I had installed on my car a few weeks ago. That's not a deal-breaker, as there have been only two places in my life that have served melty calamari -- both of them Italian joints, As an aside, there are two secrets to cooking calamari. First, they need to soak in milk, as the lactic acid breaks down muscle. Secondly, they need to be dredged in an egg mixture so they brown quickly without overcooking the meat. But I digress. I took a couple sips of the miso soup, which was nicely flavored. I didn't touch the salad, but the person who did said it was good. The udon noodles were nicely presented and had excellent flavor. The coconut shrimp was the total opposite of the calamari in that it was cooked to perfection. I'm not sure what the dipping sauce was, but it was also phenomenal, and I'll be looking for a copycat recipe. As for the sushi, it was good. Not earth-shattering, but beautifully presented with a nice contrast of flavors and temperatures. I'm not sure about the cherry on top, but what the hell. If I lived here, this place would be a regular stop for me ... especially because they have Sam Adams Boston Lager on draft.

Where else can you get all-you-can-eat sashimi, sushi rolls, hibachi, and other appetizers for under 30 bucks? I went here for dinner, and for $28.99, I got a whole lot of sashimi, sushi rolls, hibachi scallops, shumai, strawberry ice cream, etc. Everything was delicious. The sashimi tasted great, and the sushi rolls were filling, though thankfully, Kintaro doesn't go too heavy on the rice. I thought the hibachi scallops were better than a lot of non-AYCE hibachi restaurants. They were tender and flavorful, and if I wasn't absolutely stuffed from the sashimi and sushi, I would have gotten another order of scallops. Like always, the service was great, and the staff was friendly. Our server frequently checked up on us and refilled our waters. Everything tasted fine, so we just assumed it was a communication issue. So we came back, this time it had a quarter of the menu and the quality took a sharp dive. Pretty amazing since it had been less than a week. Most of the menu was missing, our waiter seemed clueless, nice but clueless. I've never been to a hotpot that didn't have quail eggs all day. All the grill meat came out frozen, the cuts were thin and bad. The green peppers tasted like the blade that cut them, dry and metallic. I don't know that was way too wild a swing in quality we won't be back. We can't win with hotpot in Ohio it seems, for how much hotpot is in the US, I expect better than this. Kpot is still the worst but this last time at Kintaro is up there. Guess I'm looking for another hotpot place.
