What a unique dining experience being served via both a conveyor belt and a small robotic cart along a track! After being seated, there is an extensive picture menu to help guide you through the food choices as well as a color-coded plate system to indicate both the style of item you are choosing (i.e., raw or cooked, cold or hot, etc.) as well as the price for each style. On the belt itself are either actual dishes you can grab right off and consume (they are all covered) or small placards you pull off and a server comes by to grab and place your custom item order. We tried a wide variety of items, both off the belt and custom made. There are various kinds of sushi, sashimi, rolls, appetizer type items, desserts, drinks...honestly too many to name here, but you get the idea. In total for the two of us I think we sampled about 7-8 dishes and that seemed about right for us. Given each plate is in the $2.50-$3.75 range it made for a very affordable lunch outing. Was it the best Japanese food we've ever had? No, but don't let that stop you from immersing yourself in this one-of-a-kind dining atmosphere. We'd definitely return!

This place is the original revolving sushi bar in Cleveland, inspired by regional Japanese conveyor belt sushi, and it absolutely delivers. There are tons of options rotating by at all times, so you can dive in right away with little to no wait. And if you want something specific, just special-order it -- a robot will literally bring it right to your table. So fun and feels like you're in Japan. The service is consistently quick, and the sushi itself is always fresh and flavorful. We love their classic rolls like the Ohio Roll and Spicy Girl Roll, but they also keep things exciting with creative items like sushi sandwiches and sushi tacos. They're always coming up with something new. Pricing works differently here than most places: each plate color has its own price, so veggie rolls tend to be cheaper while raw options are a bit higher. It's super easy to keep track as you go. And definitely save room for taiyaki -- a warm, fish-shaped Japanese cake traditionally filled with sweet red bean paste (they sometimes offer fun variations too). It's the perfect sweet finish. All in all, this spot impresses us every single time. Great food, fast service, and such a unique experience -- one of our absolute favorites in Cleveland.

This is a fun experience. You get to pick what you want from the revolving belt. You are also able to order off the menu and your food is sent on a little car that is on top of the revolving belt.

A friend brought me here for a pre birthday dinner. We had both heard about the revolving sushi concept but had never experienced it. Overall it was a cool experience. It's fun to see the items on the conveyor belt. I like the option where you grab the picture of the item you want off of the belt and they make it fresh for you. The color of the plates tell you the item prices which makes that part easy, though in some instances it can be difficult to tell exactly which roll you're grabbing off the belt, though I'm sure folks who frequently have a better idea. It was the first really cold night in Cleveland, so I ordered the ramen. I can't say that I would get it again. I didn't find the broth that flavorful and the pork was a little tough.

Very fun way to eat Japanese food alone or with a small group. It can definitely get dangerous though because our bill was higher than expected because we didn't pay attention to how many dishes we were getting. It may be pricier than other sushi places but you get variety here with small portions which is nice. The server was fast and I love the cute vending machine you get if you eat 15 plates. Also fun fact, if you're vegetarian, you don't have to think too hard because a certain plate color of food means it's vegetarian. They do the same to decipher raw and cooked food too. It's great!

I have to be honest...going in my expectations were not very high and I had no idea how this whole thing worked. However, the experience and staff wowed me! A friend and I walked right in and were greeted immediately, with a friendly server explaining the process to us right away. You can grab whatever you want from the conveyor belt (the chefs can be seen at the end making everything fresh) and you save and stack your empty plates to be added up for your bill at the end. They are strict about not putting any plates taken off of the belt back on the belt which made me feel much better because I did have that sanitary concern. They also have certain dishes that are made fresh and to order by request if nothing on the belt tickles your fancy. They had vegetarian sushi and appetizer options too, as well as some desserts. A friend and I sampled several sushi rolls (both veggie and non) and I got a seaweed salad as well. We both did one custom roll order too and that also came out very quickly on a little robot trolley over the top of the regular conveyor belt which was so fun! The prices were very reasonable as well...I was pleasantly surprised by that. This is the perfect place to get a quick meal with a fun experience and get to try a variety of items. It definitely exceeded my expectations and I plan to visit again soon. Thank you so much, Watami Revolving Sushi Bar!

There's literally no reason not to go here. There's only a handful of revolving sushi bars in America and it's the only one in Ohio. The food is SO GOOD. The staff is SO NICE. If you eat 15 plates you a PRIZE TOKEN for the VENDING MACHINES. I had Godzilla rolls, Lady Gaga rolls, Spider rolls, spring rolls, shrimp pastry puffs, pork dumplings. If you see a plate with a card on it with the dish you want, put it on your table, the staff gets it to the chefs right away so they can cook it. Then they send it out to your table on a little track on top of a CAT CAR

Great food! Fast service! Unique experience! The atmosphere was really inviting and enjoyable. It was fun getting to be in a new environment like this and order the food in a new way. The prices range based on the color of plate you choose and all of the plates are counted/totaled at the end of the meal. You can request hot food as well like chicken nuggets and fries as well as have special ordered sushi. All food was served at appropriate temperatures and also covered for safety. For the special requested orders, they are delivered to you via robot bunny! It will stop at your table and you pick up your order. Very fun and unique. Will be happy to attend again. Be mindful of the business hours as they do close for a brief time in the middle of the day.

My son chose conveyor belt sushi for a graduation celebration. We had been one other time in Seattle. This is the only one in the Cleveland area. The experience is very fun. The sushi is good. The dining room was clean and well kept up. The staff was very attentive. When you arrive you are seated at a table with a conveyor belt full of sushi options going by. You can choose any option and pull it off of the belt. We tried to match what was on the plates with the menu on the table. Sometimes it is hard to identify what is on the plates. Also be aware the plates are priced by color and can add up quickly. You can also place special orders with a server. We spent over $100 in 45 minutes for four people. You are given a token for a prize machine with every 15 plates. We had a good time and would likely return for a special occasion. You are paying not only for the sushi but for the experience.

We crushed it at Watami with 54 plates for 5 people. Cheers for our *inaugural* Food Club outing! Would totally come again! A fun experience and great for those who don't want to commit to a full roll or plate of apps. With every 15 plates, you get a special token to use at their prize machine! They also have non-sushi items going around the belt, like fruit, juice boxes, desserts (cake, brownies, packaged mochi?) and some apps (like edamame, seaweed salad). Depending on your strategy (yes, you should have a loose plan), wait for the high ticket plates like sashimi or nigiri before you fill up on rolls and apps. There's no guarantee you'll get these but keep an eye out. Would recommend the white tuna nigiri! Tables are most comfortable for groups of 4, but you could squeeze 5-6 if you really like each other. There are low table/stool seating at the ends which could seat 3 and 3 facing each other but it'd be hard to share plates with the full group. At the booths, designate the two at the conveyor belt to be your "grabbers", with the one who sees the plates (coming towards the table) as the one who "calls out" the sushi coming. All others should help with removing the tops and helping stack everything to the sides. We grabbed a plate of sliced oranges halfway through as a refreshing palate cleanser (highly recommend). There are also plates with a picture stand of food - like fries, shumai, speciality rolls that you can pull off the belt and order fresh. They'll come by and ask how many plates you want of that specific food, so be sure you specify. Once they take your order, put the plate with the picture back on the belt for others. Pro tip: ordering hot tea at the start helps keep things balanced. Drink lots of water too, especially if using soy sauce. With the popularity of Ohio's first #sushi conveyor belt restaurant, please expect a wait and be patient especially if you have a group larger than 4 or 5. Call ahead to ask for the current wait time or to try to make a reservation for a 6+ group. And always, be mindful of food waste and only take what you/your group can finish. Each plate has small portions or between 2-4 pieces, so keep that in mind.

Great time at this revolving sushi bar!! We tried so many good sushi's. You can also order your own if you want. We got mochi for dessert. After 15 plates you get your try and the prize machine - for little Keychains. Very cute place!! It does get pricey depending how hungry you are!! So I would say come if you're not starving :)

Revolving sushi has come to Cleveland! I was excited to try this place out because of that very novelty. Sushi goes around on a conveyor belt and the plates are color coordinated by price. Can you always tell what the sushi is? No. But what can you do. There's also other options such as gyoza, takoyaki, etc.. I'd say the sushi is average quality. I'm not sure you come to this place expecting out of this world sushi? But it wasn't terrible and it wasn't fantastic. The takoyaki was surprisingly tasty, a nice surprise considering how some places in the area do takoyaki. Also, they have juice boxes. I don't know why but I did grab one because why not. I think this is a great place to come with friends. Between me and my two friends we were able to try a wide variety of sushi. While the plates can add up, splitting the cost between friends is a great option.

I usually order from UberEats, and I normally just order salmon rolls, spicy tuna rolls, etc., because I normally have avocado at home. This one time--I didn't have any. But I also didn't want to pay extra for avocado. I placed a note in my UberEats order "PLEASE ADD AVOCADO". And they did--no extra charge. I was so happy and I devoured my meal. My top picks: * Spicy Tuna * Salmon Lover * Salmon Roll, Tuna Roll, & Spicy Salmon Roll One day, we went inside to celebrate my friends birthday. I had came earlier and asked them to store a cake for me--they gladly took it and presented it at a timely manner for us to celebrate her first sushi + her cake! The atmosphere here was warm, inviting and clean on our visit. And despite that they had bluegrass music blaring, it still felt like a Japanese restaurant. Service here was also polite, quick and efficient. I started with an order of calamari, which literally came out in two minutes. It was panko-crusted and about as rubbery as the set of Michelins that I had installed on my car a few weeks ago. That's not a deal-breaker, as there have been only two places in my life that have served melty calamari -- both of them Italian joints, As an aside, there are two secrets to cooking calamari. First, they need to soak in milk, as the lactic acid breaks down muscle. Secondly, they need to be dredged in an egg mixture so they brown quickly without overcooking the meat. But I digress. I took a couple sips of the miso soup, which was nicely flavored. I didn't touch the salad, but the person who did said it was good. The udon noodles were nicely presented and had excellent flavor. The coconut shrimp was the total opposite of the calamari in that it was cooked to perfection. I'm not sure what the dipping sauce was, but it was also phenomenal, and I'll be looking for a copycat recipe. As for the sushi, it was good. Not earth-shattering, but beautifully presented with a nice contrast of flavors and temperatures. I'm not sure about the cherry on top, but what the hell. If I lived here, this place would be a regular stop for me ... especially because they have Sam Adams Boston Lager on draft.
